Good morning. He just needs to get her to answer the question and move on so there is no rehashing her answer. That would throw her for a big loop. That means no repeating anything and can't try to even control the situation.

That's the problem. He asks her the question and she's not answering the question. Or when she does, she thinks she's being clever by adding in her sly little comments; instead of just answering yes or no, or I don't know, umm, well, not that I recall, I don't remember, etc.. So now he has to circle back and try to discredit her comments or get a definitive answer.

I agree, but once she does then he needs to move on. Then she can't go back and try to argue the point. With that question, move on to the next.

I'm wondering if JM is going to time things so that he leaves the jury tomorrow at 4:30 PM with something really intense about the actual murder or the aftermath to think about for the following 3 days.

Has the judge ruled on that? Because if this judge agrees to end court every day at 4:30 because that's what JA "needs" then I will lose all respect for her. Who is running this court? The judge or JA? Clearly, JA is a sociopathic control freak and the judge should not play into that. Geez Louise.

As for her NEVER answering a question and how that makes 95% of us want to smack her, well hold on.......

My MIL was the same way. She had some "personality quirks," shall we say. Not a sociopath, but maybe borderline and definitely passive agressive with attachment disorder tossed in. She had a complete inability to answer ANY question directly, no matter how simple or harmless it was. She would give these bizarre, sidestep answers that would make your head spin. She was programmed to do it.

I told my DH many, many times that if she was ever questioned on the witness stand, she would give the cross examiner a STROKE. She would have given Perry Mason himself a heart attack out of sheer frustration from her maddending habit of never answering a direct question, and somehow making it look as it YOU were the one with the problem instead of her.

If you have never known a problem like this, thank your lucky stars.
