Three Things...Gratitude Thread

It's:IMG_0377.jpeg

... so if that's your state (or a favorite vacation spot) please tell us what you're grateful for about it!

Otherwise, today's topic (Sun, 7/27) - 3 things you're grateful for that start with the letter J

Happy Sunday Friends

#1 - Jam - Grape jam is my favorite for PB&Js. I don’t ever ever ever use grape jelly unless I’m desperate, like a few times that I needed to make a PB&J from items at a free hotel breakfast when we were away at a softball tournament.

#2 - Jacket - I have a lot of jackets for different times. One is my favorite - it’s almost 30 years old and nothing special, but it’s special to me and I love it.

#3 - Jobs - My DH and I are both blessed to have jobs we like and enjoy going to every day.

What's the difference between jam and jelly in the States? I always thought jelly was the same as jam until reading this!

Happy Sunday!

1. Job - unlike Slo I dont particularly like my job all of the time, but I dont hate it either and am certainly grateful for the flexibility it gives me and for the wage that keeps me going back to Disney!

2. Jeans/jeggings - a wardrobe staple for me, super comfy and casual and so many different styles to buy (although not all I agree with 😂)

3. Jumpers - like jeans, so many different types of jumpers out there and I seem to have far too many of them. From Disney jumpers to cosy knits and sweatshirts, I would not be able to live without them.

Oh how wonderful, a New Jersey Day!
I Love New Jersey from High Point State Park to Cape May! Three Cape May scenes..2 of my pond. I often do feel, “There’s no place like home!”

One of my black goldfish is in the picture, not easy to see! I always spend time looking for them!

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a blessed day!
1. Jesus, and the water color picture I have of him that was so treasured by my mother in law.
2. My family, we all have J names.
3. Jeans- pants, shorts, jackets, shirts, skirts- so comfortable!
4. JOY- when you look for it, you find so much more of it.

Jam is chunkier and jelly is smoother. (I think jam is made from whole crushed fruit, and jelly from the juice.)

I think what you call "jelly" over there is a gelatin dessert, right? That goes by the brand name Jello here.
Yep that's right our jelly = Jello. Interesting, don't think we have a UK alternative to your jelly, we just have jam and that's it. Feel like I need to get some jelly next time I'm over to see what it's all about!

I have always been a sensory sensitive person, but especially when I was a kid. My mom had strawberry preserves (the most fruit-filled jam possible) and I wouldn’t touch it. I didn’t like bits in my food, so it was grape or strawberry jelly for me.

Today's Topic (Fri, 7/25) - 3 things you're grateful for inspired by this photo

(could be amusement rides, real horses, things you like to photograph, whatever it makes you think of...)
Horses 🐴❤️❤️❤️❤️ they are majestic animals I could talk about them all day but I won’t bother bothering you with all my interesting talk about horses

Merry-go-round I absolutely love carousels they’re fun rides

Which makes me think of going to amusement park which makes me think of eating cotton candy candy apples popcorn and all those fried foods you know they fry anything on a stick🤣🤣 and frozen cokes❤️❤️

Jacinto peak that rises above palm springs... the only snow that looks to be year round to a child.. Joshua Tree did have snow

Jefferson a peak that rises snow topped over Salem Oregon...if you are looking from the phenomenon of earth curvature... which is 10 miles west of Salem...in down town Salem it disappears

Junction... called santiam junction..a 2 lane road is the only way out of central Oregon to put folks back in the valley on a Sunday. Up the cascade grade till you reach the junction and magically all the traffic disappears to 3 different roads... and time to listen to CD spa music as you go down hill on a good and not so busy road dense with forest and 2 minutes view of Mt Jefferson before you are under the snow covered volcano
