Yes the plants really change CT completely, I loved them too. Wait til you see them in person

I thought tea was great. It was expensive though, after the TIW discount it was$75 for the 4 of us and that wa sonly 4 pots of tea, 4 strawberries and cream bowls, a mini sandwitch plate and a cheese and fruit plate. Now that I type that out it was kind of a lot of food. Totally worth it though, we loved it!

Vow Renewal Morning!

I woke up around 7 am and started some coffee. Evryone else slowly woke up and my mom and dad were sitting out in the courtyard having their coffee so the kids went out to play there. We had breakfast in our room and I rechecked to make sure I had everything. After breakfast we sent the kids off with the grandmas and got ready to head to the Swan to get ready. H and I brought all of our stuff to the van and got ready to leave, only we kept bumping into everyone so by the time we got in the van it was pretty late. I had hair and makeup scheduled for 10 am and we got to the Swan around 9am. We valet'd the van and let bell services take our stuff while we went to check into the suite. I was so excited, Karen told us we had the Sandpiper hospitality suite and I remember hearing another bride talk about how her suite had a baby grand piano and was a million sq feet and just awesome. I couldn't wait to see it. The lady at the desk kept having to leave and come back because of some sort of issue. Finally, after about 20 mins she told us to go upstairs to meet the security guard and he'd give us the key. He met us up there and we got the key and went in. It was sooo not a sweet suite. I'm laughing just thinking about it. It was a big empty room with just a convention table and a bathroom. That is all. Also, it had not been cleaned. So lower your expectations ladies! It served the purpose though and it was convenient so that is all that mattered, it is just funny because I was thinking we were getting some sort of executive suite. Ha!

At this point it was like 9:30 and Beaute Speciale would be arriving in 30 mins so we hauled butt down to the Il Mulino to set up. Erica Yerton told me that she wouldn't be there in the morning but the room would be set up for us from the night before. I had worked with her for months and we had a detailed contract outlining how many seats should be each table and how many high chairs, etc. But the tables were not set up with the right number of seats when we arrived. We figured that it was because the servers had not arrived and they'd fix it later when they arrived. We set them up as they were and worked quickly. I did as much as I could but then had to go because it was 10 of 10. I gave H instructions and he did the rest (and did such a great job!).

When I got upstairs Jackie was there (oops!) so I let her in and we got started. Jackie is great, we chatted like we were old friends. She remembered me from my trial and I showed her my inspiration pics again and asked for a few minor changes. She was great about doing a little and then showing me to make sure I liked it. She really understood what I was going for and I think she did a great job. If I were rich I'd totally hire her to do my hair and makeup every day! Jackie finished up just before noon and headed out.

I asked for natural looking makeup with emphasis on eyes and I like what she did. I did have a TON of makeup on but I really don't think you can tell too much.

H and I ordered room service for lunch, we got a turkey club, a fruit platter and 2 mimosas I needed something to take the edge off because I was getting nervous. An older lady arrived with our food and asked “Are you getting married today?” I told her we were renewing our vows and she said that she had always wanted to do that too. Then she told me that her husband had a stroke and died before she got the chance It was so sad. She said after the stroke she refused to put him into a nursing home and took care of him herself instead. Then...then....she said “They say until death do you part but I can't bring myself to take off my wedding rings because I still love him so much”. I couldn't help it, I cried. I think that is the saddest thing I've ever heard and just looking down at her wedding ring broke my heart. So we gave her a small fortune and sent her on her way and enjoyed some quiet time before the VR. Then we joked to lighten the mood and said that her husband is probably at home and she uses the story to get massive gratuities from people getting ready to tie the knot. Yes, we went there, we have dark and cynical senses of humor really.

Our lunch:

The lunch was a nice way to relax before the craziness. I highly recommend it. It came on its own table on wheels and the mimosas were on ice and everything. We really enjoyed it!

I'm bummed to hear that the courtesy swan room wasnt all that it was cracked up to be, I think we will opt to get ready at the Contemporary. What a bummer though that it wasn't more decked out! Atleast it served its purpose.

The decorations at Il Mulino look so great! I'm freaking out a bit that we aren't doing any. I'm actually making notes about so many of your wedding details that I think we should incorporate! You did a great job, Jillian!

I am LOVING your tr so far! Let's see, where to start? I love your pics from T-Rex! It's not 5-star or anything but the place is great for pictures. We've been there once and I think we sat very close to where you did with the little dinosaur right next to you.

I lovelovelove that your VR turned was like a big family reunion. It's my dream for our wedding to be just like that. I can't wait to have all of our loved ones together in our favorite place in the world!

Here is a little more, without pictures:

I only ate fruit for lunch because I was nervous and then it was time to get dressed. At this point we had about an hour until we had to meet Randy at the Grand Floridian for pre-ceremony pics. We hurried and got dressed and then, of course, I had to pee. I sure regretted not having a wedding party at this point. I vowed not to drink anything again until the reception because getting spankx off and trying not to drop my dress into the toilet was too tricky. We hurried out and checked the Il Mulino once more before leaving. The tables were still not set up right but they looked great. I hobbled in my gigantic heeled shoes over to the entrace. Everyone kept stopping us to congratulate us and ohh and aww over us, we felt like celebrities. H got the van and I realized that I forgot my bouquet, so he ran back. As he was running back Randy called. It was 1:38 and he had arrived at the GF early. I said “I'm so sorry, I forgot my bouquet and my H just went to grab it, we'll leave soon I promise” he was so cool, his response was “Jill, you're doing good. Its ok. Get here when you can, I'll be here”. He has a great way of making you feel at ease. So after I get off the phone I realize that we forgot the directions to GF AND the GPS. Great. We so should have hired transportation for ourselves. If you're reading this and plan on driving yourselves please just hire transportation now. Seriously, pick up the phone and do it now. So I asked the valet guy how to get there, he says it is easy and I wrote down directions. Only it wasn't easy and we missed a turn and took the loooooong way. I don't know how but we still got there at 1:59 so we weren't “late” but boy was that stressful!

We used valet at the GF and Randy met us right at the door. Randy is awesome, he is one of the two MVPs of the day. He brought us in and got right to shooting pics. He knew all of the great shots to get. I especially love that if anything is out of place or off, he'd tell me. He told me to relax my bouquet, he had H zip my zipper when it wasn't up all the way, he let me know when my hair got caught around my earring and...and...he even grabbed paper towels and discreetly told me when my deodorant was clumping. He rocks! We laughed a lot, especially when he had us outside the window and was signaling us what to do. If you've shot with him you know what I mean. He kept saying “you look like you've been working out” and then “Hey Brian, get really close to her, she's been working out!” He's funny. We got everything and more done in just under an hour and a half. We headed back to the Swan early to make sure everything was all set for our ceremony and dinner.

When we got back to the Swan I went into Il Mulino and met Karen. I've never met her before, she was so sweet and gave me a big hug. She had 2 other girls with her too and I'm awful because I forget their names. They were busily setting up and putting the finishing touches on everything. Then I noticed that the tables were still not right at the Il Mulino, which was really, really annoying. Also, Erica was not there...little did I know she was not scheduled to come that night at all. AND, Brian the manager that did our menu tasting got a promotion so he didn't even work there anymore. So I knew no one there and I was frustrated. Thankfully I had my wedding binder with me and the seating chart count was in it so I handed it to a server and asked that they please set the tables according to it. They fixed it quickly and were nice. At this point the ceremony was due to start in 15 minutes.

My spankx were target brand, I think they are called Assetts or something like that. Mine weren't a skirt bottom, they went just over my belly button and then down to my thighs. I probably didn't need ones that big but I had them leftover from my sister's wedding (when I was 3 mos postpartum!). They make high waisted underwear ones that work well.

I wouldn't worry about your hair staying put too much, especially if you are using Beaute Speciale. My hair was done at 10 am and I have a picture of me around 11pm or so and it is still perfectly intact. Here it is:

She sprayed all sorts of stuff on it to help it stay put. She put some stuff on my face that she said is like rainex for faces. Then we joked about me doing a trash the dress shoot and coming out of the pool with perfectly intact hair and makeup and she said it would probably happen. H tried to get me to jump into the pool to test it out but I didn't have that much to drink!

I loved that it was a family reunion too, that was my favorite part! Most of our family is up in the Boston area so we don't get to see them as much as we'd like.

Aww, thanks! The surprise guests were the best. I know Randy got a lot of pictures of them. They helped me to realx and not be so nervous.

Yep, we used private rooms 1 & 2. Their furniture is really nice, I love the modern look of the place. I was annoyed with Il Mulino, they did a few more stupid things that I'll mention and I acutally ended up sending Erica an e-mail about them.

YES, please take my kids, they are driving me nuts lately....lol They were really cute, I can't wait to see Randy's pictures of them. He got some good ones. My daughter dropped her hair flower down by the water at the end and Randy got a whole series of pictures of Brian retrieving said hair flower with my daughter crying. I was like "dude, forget it, we'll buy a new one" and having visions of him taking another swim in the swan pond.

I don't think I have any pics of the suite, just me by the balcony. It was a big room with a water cooler and a table. There was a small bathroom too. That was all. One big balcony too. It was roomy and served the purpose just not fancy or anything.

I thought the same thing about the room service lady! I felt really sad for her but was like "Really lady? Couldn't you tell me that tomorrow or something?" Then I felt guilty for being a jerk and gave her a ton of money for it.

Sorry it took me so long to find your TR I have been so focused on other things. Anyway here I am and good thing too since I just got mentioned in the post before this LOL!

All i can really say is that I am loving your TR and I love the way CT looks in the few pictures you have posted.

Your hair looks gorgeous and the makeup looks awesome. Did you airbrush?

It is ok that you stole my picture for the makeup I am glad you did actually and I am glad that I had something that you could use.

I am thinking of just getting ready at OKW and not using a hospitality suite I think it will just be easier to get ready at OKW and do the first look shots there. I can't help that I like to challenge Randy and have him take pictures at different places.

He is so calming I know what you mean he did the same kind of stuff with us.

I can not wait for more and I hope he posts a sneak peek soon
