JIKO or NARCOOSEE'S

We have family coming over from the tampa bay area and we would like to take them to dinner. which of the above would you recommend?

We did Jiko and Narcoossee's both for the first time in the same trip. Jiko has become a must do for us. We've done it both on and off of the DDP. Narcoossee's is a place that we don't care if we go back to or not (and we'd never even consider it not on the DDP).

For a nice dinner with your friends I suggest Jiko. Make sure you get there early enough to take a peek at the Savannah.

If any in your party are for seafood, Narcoossee's is a must. Not only was the food good, the view is outstanding (MK is right there) and peaceful. Right on the lagoon.

Oh Def Jiko....it is incredible and the service was top notch...plus the AKL is great to wander around and view the animals.

I would take them to Jiko. Narcoosees is a good restaurant but it's not all that special. I love the atmosphere at Jiko and the resort itself is worth visiting.

If you have folks in your party who are adventurous when it comes to food, then don't miss Jiko. I think even "meat and potato" types can find something at Jiko but they will be missing out on the whole point of the restaurant. The flavors are incredible. IMO there is no contest...Jiko!

And we loved the atmosphere and the service at Jiko, but weren't overly impressed with the food. It was not bad, but it did not blow us away, as some of the other signature restaurants have (LeCell in the old days, Il Mulino, etc).

I had mixed feelings going to Narcoosees, as I don't eat seafood, nor does my wife. However, our entire party of five loved every single item we ordered, and the service was stellar. The view along the water was also excellent.

In summary, I would try Jiko again to give them another chance based on reputation, but I will definitely be back to Narcoosees.

Both are great choices! They are our 2 fav restaurants. If you like seafood & will be there during Wishes, then I say Narcoossee's. I LOVE their scallops & desserts! Otherwise, Jiko is more unique & very delicious. Plus, then you can walk around AKL & check it out.

We did both last trip and Jiko was by far our fave! It was awesome! Great food and awesome servers! Everyone there was so nice from the moment we walked in. I could not have asked for better!

We been to both and loved both. If I had to pick one my chose is Narcoossee's and I just asked my husband and his chose is Jiko. I would look at the menu and decide from that but both places is yummy. Enjoy

I like Narcoossees slightly better then Jiko, but they're both really good.

I love questions with no wrong answers.

No matter which you chose, you'll have a great meal. About the only thing that I'd caution you about Jiko is that some folks find the menu offerings a little to "different".

Love Jiko's! Food and service are excellent...I just wish their dessert choices were better. That's the only shortfall that I think Jiko's has. Plus you can wander around the savannah viewing areas before/after dinner.

I loved both but DH thought Narcoosee's had too much seafood and he doesn't like it (he went for me). I would say Jiko. Look at the menus online and maybe that will help you.
