On the Jetblue site, it says some A320s have free wireless. Does anyone how many of the aircraft have this feature and what exactly does free wireless mean as opposed to free wifi. Does it mean on a device with a wireless antenna connects (like an iPhone, blackberry or a laptop with an aircard)?

We are on an A320 from Hartford to Orlando Xmas week and I was wondering if there was a way I could even tell if it will include this service.

If I recall, jetBlue's wireless is a stripped down version of WIFI found on most other carriers (at least those that offer it). You can do limited things:
jetBlue said:
JetBlue’s BetaBlue aircraft is an Airbus A320 wired for email, shopping and instant messaging services above 10,000 feet. Customers traveling on this aircraft can use their Wi-Fi® enabled smartphones, BlackBerries and laptops to virtually connect* to home and work—for free!—via some of today’s most popular email and messaging providers, including Yahoo!® Mail, Yahoo!® Messenger, Microsoft® Exchange, Gmail™, Windows Live (Hotmail, MSN, Live), AOL®, BlackBerry email, and BlackBerry® Messenger**. Customers can also use their Wi-Fi enabled devices to access Amazon.com’s site for mobile phones to shop from the sky.

In short, you're very limited in connection.

I'm still not quite sure it works. With an iPhone, can I access anything or just specific applications?
