Got up this morning and Jet Blues prices jumped $77.00 per person round trip for us in Sept.

Do you think they will drop back again? Or should we punch the tickets now. It seems early and I don't know if they had a surge in sales or it was just one of theit rollercoaster moves, in the past I have seen them go up and down like a yo yo

What do you think

Thanks Dave

PS I know tht they give you a credit to use with in a year if the rate drops and you call them I just hate the thought of tying up an extra $230, even though it almost makes it certain that we will take a trip next year with that big of a credit;)

I could kick myself for not buying my Sept tickets and have the same questions as you!!! I logged on last night to buy my tickets and they had gone up $100.00!!This time of year is truly one the slowest times to fly to MCO and cannot believe they won't go down but that has not been my experence with the couple of trips of have booked right now...the fares have only gone up!!What airport are you flying from?? Delta and AirTran out of Boston/Logan are still in the low $200's and Southwest has not released those dates yet out of PVD. They usually all stay in very close line with each other.

We live in NH but prefer to fly Jet Blue, we also have a $60 credit to use, we may take Delta down and JB back, I am a little worried about the Delta flight because of my DW having to get out of work then get to Logan, we have to drive down Rte 1 through Saugus/ lynnfield and one accident would cause us to miss our flight.

Will have to keep watching

Just go to Kowloon and have a few scorpion bowls and enjoy the cheesey polynesian decor.
:cool1:

JB prices are erratic. they can go either way. but you can only guarantee yourself the current rate. could go up, could go down. if it goes down, you get a credit. if it goes up, you get a smaller bank account balance.

Yeah it is that smaller bank acount that I worry about

We booked 2 days ago from Boston to Orlando in October and today those same tickets are $200 more per person. I'm so glad I booked when I did.

goofydad: I would wait. I too can't believe the fluctuation in JetBlue's pricing. I got really lucky; after purchasing my tickets at $99 each way, another poster's comment reminded me to check the fares. My specific flights had gone down $20 each. Today? Instead of $79 each way, I'd have to pay $149 down and $174 back! Heck, it's cheaper to fly across the country!

Yes, JB's prices went up for our trip in July, as well. I had already purchased the fare down to MCO, but was waiting on the return trip. Went ahead and booked it today as the fare did jump. Interestingly, when I went to choose my seats, the plane was not quite empty. So, I'm wondering if they are raising prices as insurance against higher oil prices. That said, I'm going to keep a close eye on those fares, and if they do go down, I'll be calling for a credit (hey, that'll get me more Disney later :thumbsup2 ).

We finally get FD today, and I go to book our flights (didn't want to do them earlier due to dates) and they are $49 higher on the way out :( I really hope they go back down.

for what I was working on it actually changed last night.

Boston- MCO went up $20 per person each way= $40 per person...

We booked it, but between now & Sept. I'm sure they will drop again so we can get another credit.

Just to let everyone here know...booked my flights on JB for 9/23- 9/30...BOS/MCO.The fare was 149.00 each way and was $99 each way 2 days ago. Did not want to risk it going up any more...needed specific flights to meet my son. When I picked my seats there are plenty of seats left on each flight....maybe only 10 to 15 seats sold so I feel very confident that the fares will go down. I have a trip planned for April 08 so I don't mind having a credit. Good luck to everyone!!

We were planning on flying on continental I was waiting to talk to DH to see which flight he thought we should go out on, (many to choose from at the same fare) they jumped up $30 each or $120 for the four of us. We already went up to a mod. from a value I should've booked yesterday.:sad2:

I was HORRIFIED! I didn't purchase them (they were 99 down and 79 back) they are now 99 down and 174 back! YIKES :scared1: Do you think those sneak sob's read these boards? lol I swear if I did book it yesterday then I would not have gotten my room w/FD today.

I am going to wait it out a couple of weeks, JB does seem to flucuate so much, so if a lot of people do not book then they'll go down if not, I'll probably fly Delta or some other airline.
