Of course, a week after I bought our airline tickets to Orlando, Jet Blue has announced a Clearance sale going on now for alot of flights out of JFK to Orlando and other florida airports. Fares are as low as $59 - I am sooooo mad, I just booked 6 days ago on jetblue.com and paid much more than $59!! Hope someone else can take advantage of this great sale.

Thanks for the heads-up!!!

Can you cancel and re-book your flights if you paid a lot more? It would be worth it to pay the cancellation fee (I think it's $25 per ticket).

Good luck,

Bob

Call the customer service number....If your original flights are still available with the new price, you will be credited for the difference. The credit balance, I believe, is good for 12 months from date of your original purchase...

HTH's!

I did figure it out, and to re-book the flights after the fees I would only get about $10 credit per person. Oh well, I did call the customer service number and they told me that buying airline tickets is like playing cards, sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose!

First of all, are your originally-booked flights still available....but at the lower rate? If so, you are not changing your flights at all....just getting a credit for the same, but lower-priced flights. It is my understanding (and my previous experience with Jet Blue), that there is no "fee" for this. We have booked JetBlue for two previous vacations....and both times, the prices went down after booking. Each time, I called customer service and they gave me the difference in a credit. The key is that your exact flights still have to be available.

The same thing happened to me for Song from LGA to Orlando. I bought tickets at $89 each way and now they were at $59 AGGHH How annoying.

I actually just checked again, the flight we are taking is now not on sale any longer - the flight one hour later is now on sale. They seem to change their prices daily. That's what I've heard, they change prices due to how the plane fills up - I guess I could rebook to go on the flight that leaves one hour later, but I don't want to do that. I still got a decent deal, so I'm not going to complain, TOO much!!! :goodvibes

I was actually glad to see that the fare for my flight is more than double what we paid last October. It went from $158 to $318

Oh...sorry to hear that! I guess at that point, when it costs you the fee to change your flight, it's not worth it. Well....I would suggest to keep checking to see if anything opens up again for your flight. It's not unheard of to have a previously unavailable discount fare, suddenly become available again!

Good luck!

Hey, you never know - I guess I'm just glad we're going to WDW - didn't think we were going to go during the 50th celebration, but when the free dining came out, we couldn't pass it up!
