Jersey week....

How, exactly, do the New Jersians travel around the teacher's conference. This year, the conference is Thursday Nov 4 through Saturday Nov 6. Election day is Tuesday Nov 2. Veterans Day is Thursday Nov 11.

Will the folks from NJ be going to WDW for the week of Oct 31 - Nov 6 or are they coming down Nov 4 through Nov 11?

Similarly, how will it work in 2005. The conference is Thursday Nov 10 through Saturday Nov 12. Election day is Tuesday Nov 1. Veterans Day is Friday Nov 11. When will the New Jersians be traveling then? Will they be at WDW from Thursday Nov 10 through the early part of the following week or will it be the week of Sunday Nov 6 through Saturday Nov 12.

I guess the bottom line is, are the few days that most take off before the conference or after ?

I think both weeks will contain Jersey Weekers. I think most of the posers I've seen are going Oct 31-Nov 6. That way they get the MNSSHP. I do know that some are going the week after, though. So I guess you'd see a little of both with the main concentration during the conference weekend.

We're going on 10/30-11/4. Gives us enough (is there ever enough) time to do the parks, Universal and MNSSHP (I still hope!) and get back in time to enjoy a long weekend at home.

DS6 is only going to miss 3 half days of school, so I'm not too worried that he'll fall behind either!

As for election day, I'm getting absentee ballots for DH and me!

We will be there Nov 3-8. Not only is it teacher's convention, but our school is moving to a new bldg. that week and closed from Nov 2-8 so we are taking advantage of the time off. My DGDs will not miss any school.

Another new jersyiite here going the 30th - Nov.6 aand catching the MNSSHP ! SWe usually go a few days before the convention and my kids miss 2 -3 days of school.

I am a also a true legitimate Jerseyan (not a poser either ) and I am going with a family I babysit, and their dates are Wednesday Nov 3 to Monday Nov 8th. That way, they only lose two days of school. I guess it varies from each school district, as our district never has Election day or Veteran's Day off - we only get Thursday and Friday Nov 4th and 5th.

The week before the conference. Never have election day off. I am so excited that it falls on MNSSHP this year. YEAH!!!!!
