Jersey sheets??

Just wondering if anybody has cotton jersey sheets on their beds? I love them, they're very comfortable. But they keep getting those little annoying rough balls(pills). I think I'm washing them wrong. Anyone else have this problem? Or is there a certain way to wash and dry them! Some advice would be sooo great!! I'd hate to not be able to sleep with these sheets anymore! Thanks a bunch!

We had some for the girls' beds one time. They were a real pain to fold, and ended up with pills on them.

My MIL always said to make sure not to wash sheets with anything else, especially towels.
