Sorry they couldn't do your cake, that is really annoying and probably just topped off the whole bad experience. If they aren't used to doing elaborate cakes, it would be better to go with a simple design because fancy designs can look really bad if not done correctly.

I completely agree with this! I only asked for a mad hatter cake for our engagement party, and the cake maker hadn't done one before, but gave it a go... Bad mistake, was nothing like a mad hatter cake!!

It's such a shame though, you know how much I loved that fancy cake!!


If someone was being as difficult with me, as the owner of your venue was being with you, I would have told him "If you want to see impossible, I'll show you impossible!!"

I think you are crazy about losing 25lbs..but everyone tells me I don't need to lose it and I still insist..so I hear ya. I love your dress..it is so pretty....and I have to disagree with the people who said necklace #1 overpowered the dress, I think it compliments it very nicely(could be that i just love that necklace). Aww thank you so much! that makes me blush a lot hehe. I have my problem areas that bug me and the dress assents one of them..but I had a goal in mind before trying on the dress. I do want to look good in my bikini! Makes me feel good that you like everything! I have been known to like things that others don't!

I definitely don't think you overreacted at all. It's not being a bridezilla to get upset when people aren't listening to you about your own wedding. Being a bridezilla would have been throwing your plate at the owner.

I know, I'm kinda freaking out about that now. When I asked them I hadn't realized she was like that. And she is so cute and so girly and will just love being a little princess. I'm going to have to assign my sister's to be on Mia-duty to make sure she behaves.

Your hair looks great! I love all the curls and the little crystals. I think it will look so pretty with the flowers in it. I do like the veil for the ceremony because it just is so bridal to me. But I plan on taking mine off for the reception.

You look so beautiful in your dress! I love the lace. You know when I saw the first pic with necklace 1 I really liked it, but then if you are adding cap sleeves I agree that it will be too much and I like how the second one seems to just float there.

You are crazy, you do not need to lose 25 lbs silly. Besides, if you do, your dress won't fit anymore! Although I do understand where you're coming from. Those Jillian workouts will help you tone up so that you feel completely comfortable and rockin' in your dress.

That is why I made the point to say I did not yell at the taste testing....I silently got upset. Which I am sure for the waiter was not less uncomfortable.

Good I'm glad you like the second one. I went in LOVING the first and then was disappointed with how powerful it was. so I had to fold to everyone being like the second! the second! (I haven't returned it tho yet!)

I guess I'm stuck on my goal weight for my wedding. Thats why I got Jillian's tapes! I really want to work out my back and upper half. I don't want any pinching happening if you know what I mean. aaaannnd I want to look great in my bikini for the honeymoon! Oh and Star Wars weekends have been announced...we will both be there for it, my DF will love it June 11-13

We thought it would be that weekend! We planned to go on the friday. Hoping it would be a little less crowded because people may have work! me and DF are very excited. I want a picture with Jedi Mickey and Chewy!

So sorry to hear about all the trouble they gave you at your wedding location, there's no reason to be that way and it just seemed unorganized, but at least it seems like everything has been sorted out.

Your hair looks awesome, I love the curls. Where did you get the sparkles BTW? I think the hair looks wonderful with the dress. I also have to second and say that I like the first necklace with the dress, it helps balance the negative space on your chest. You look beautiful in the dress as well, you don't need to lose 25 pounds. I mean I know I wanted to get more off, but I lost 40 pounds total and my wedding is a week away, as far as I am concerned my fiance is marrying me for who I am, not for my waistline.

Apparently no one has ever questioned them and I did and pushed buttons. Maybe if it had been longer away I would have changed it but bottom line is we love the place so....the guy can bite me.

Thanks! The sparkles I got at Claires. One of the other girls told me about them. When you go they are called body jewels and will not say anywhere about hair! (but clearly work!) They come in 4 rows 2 clear, 1 yellow and 1 pink.

Wow you did so great! 40 pounds? you rock! I really want to loose it in my back and thighs. But I am DEF not doing it for DF. He likes me the way I am. But I know what I want to look like in those photos. I just don't want to regret how I look.

That's great! Be sure you get there for opening. They have storm troopers around and they change the opening show which is kinda cool. There is also a great parade with lots of characters. We didn't try to see any of the actual characters from the movie but they are in the parade too if you don't need to have an autograph or anything.

Oh I def will! We have a whole star wars day planned out! Finishing off nicely with 50's prime! I am VERY excited. I want pictures with the characters tho!

Katie! Yea I know how bad it was and I didn't want to let it go. I would absolutely complain if it was just a manager. but he OWNS the place. So who am I going to complain to? I prob would have changed if everything wasn't so set and the coordinator wasn't so nice.

Hello all!

Okay so Bridal shower. I knew what day it was but I didn't know where or what it would be like. My mom and my aunt were upstairs all day the day before and I was alone and bored downstairs! It was held at a place where my grandparent's 50th anniversary was held, we have been many times and I love it. We had a room all to ourselves and it was a brunch buffet. and it was Disney themed! (wow....imagine that!)

So most of our friends are guys...or live in Chicago or England. So as girls my age go....it was just 3!

They made me wear a crown!

after opening presents. They made me a bouquet to use for the rehearsal instead of that embarrassing hat.....bless them. Also thats my flower girl on my lap!

It was a crazy day and I don't think I ever stopped smiling. My face actually hurt from smiling so much. There were a lot of family and friends there as well....but figured I wouldn't kill you all with pictures! haha. My MOH gave me a knife for our cake....it wouldn't be what i'd have picked but it was nice of her. I will post a pic later.

These are the jars my mom bought for the candy buffet. We also picked up two short ones shaped like stars. (anyone notice Jillian's workout tapes in the corner? )

I did centerpiece mock ups

I couldn't put them all together like I wanted to because the sand was wet from the cold.

So I am on the search for earrings and a bracelet to go with my necklace. I found this pair but I am not sure if I like them. I was looking for something that dangled a bit more. buuut...I am wearing my hair down so I don't know how much you will actually see my ears?

My MOH gave me a cake knife for my BS.....I am not crazy about it but I feel bad not using it..so this is my cake knife

She also misunderstood what my mom meant by champagne glasses for the wedding....so she bought me 6 plain glass (what I will do with these...I really have no idea) So I am still on the search for my glasses. I think I want Mickey ones or castle ones. but I don't want to spend a lot (we also have Mickey salt and pepper shakers for the table)

My mommy also bought me this box for my rings

Also...my mom bought really cute boxes for the candy buffet....but I am starting to think they are way too small. they are 2"x2" what is the normal size for candy buffet?

I am looking for a FG basket. I want it to look nice but I don't want to spend a lot.

I don't know if I like this one but the flowers look like they will make the ones on her dress.

I also really like this...but I am sure DF will say it is unnecessary because we have no ring barer!

You don't need to frame pictures of your cake knife anyway, you know? The garter set is really pretty. You could always put a hidden mickey on it somewhere?

Thanks! I think it will grow on me....I was just a tad surprised when I opened it. especially because my mom asked question about it so I thought she was getting it for me! She gave me lingerie instead! which totally surprised me!

Yeah thats what I thought I didn't want to not buy them and then be stuck without. They are growing on me. I also bought really fancy plugs (gauges in my ears)...that may be over the top but maybe they will work with the other little earrings.

Haha this is why I like both of them now!! haha. If I had multiple garters DF would tease me forever. He knows I can't make up my mind on anything.

She meant well....it just isn't really my taste. whatever its fine. One less thing I have to search for. I might take it to remember things and get it engraved....that might make it more special. They are at least champagne glasses...but its really not what my mom meant by I still need my champagne glasses.... So I still need to search!

The florist said that they charge for the basket and its not very pretty. so she said I recommend you buy one. Which out of the ones I posted do you like best? They are only $20 and its from the same place as my garter so....at least I am saving on shipping that way. I may also look at michael's.



Okay so I am having a mini panic about not finding shoes. I bought shoes when I was hope and tried them on with the dress but even standing for the 30 mins or so I could tell they would end up bugging me. So...She measure it barefoot. So not I def need flats. (which is what I wanted) but I can't find nice ones. I was thinking of buying these off ebay as a back up.

I think I like the first one, although the little skirt on the second is cute. But with the lace it reminds me a little of your dress. It's a shame you were just here. In tri-county flea market they had a stand that had flower girl baskets and I think they were pretty cheap. I got a little overwhelmed in there so maybe I'm not remembering properly.

I think a simple shoe can look really nice and it's not like you really see them most of the time anyway. I like the clip to add some sparkle.
