Mike told us that he had to go to a conference at Jekyll Island. He wanted to know if we would like to go. The beach? Who would say no to the beach? Well not me! I love the beach and it has been so long since we have been.

After that my mind started reeling. I wondered how far Disney World was from Jekyll. Well Mapquest let me know it was only about 3.5 hours. Mike will very willingly drive 6-7 hours for a weekend trip to Disney so surely he would agree to a quick trip that would only take about 3.5. Sure enough he said OK.

The day was pretty eventful. I was getting the girls dressed and ready to go. As I was brushing Mary Elizabeth's teeth she started bleeding. It's not uncommon for her to do that but this was a lot of blood. I looked in her mouth and there was a little baby tooth. I told her what was going on. I suggested that we take the tooth ti Disney World and see if Tinkerbell would come see her that night. She was so excited!!!

Packed up and ready to go. This trip consisted of Mike, Mary Elizabeth, Michala, Marlee Anne and our friend/nanny Lori. Oh and me! We got on the road and had a really nice trip to Disney. We got to the All Star Music and was greeted by a wonderful CM name Ronde'. She is from a town near us so we had a very nice talk. She was very pleasant to deal with at check in. It wasn't long before we were relaxing in our room.

The next morning we woke up and all ran to see if Tinkerbell had come. Well of course she did. She left Mary Elizabeth some money to buy something in the park.

We headed over to Disney Studios to meet Renee at 9:00. I still have a habit of calling it MGM. Renee greeted us as we walked up. Did I ever mention that she is the most wonderful CM in the "world", Disney and outside. She has quickly become part of our family. I don't know if it's getting to be more of a habit to get back to Disney or to see Renee. We were all very excited to see her.

I was a little hesitant to go to Star Wars weekend. I was a little nervous about the characters being a little scary. It didn't take long before I was loving it. The storm troopers were up on the top of the ticket booth as we waited for the gates to open.

We went right back to Star Tours to see which characters were out. We saw Darth Vader first. Marlee Anne did great and walked right up to him with her autograph book and pen. I had Mary Elizabeth and Michala on either side of him in their wheelchairs and Lori was holding Marlee Anne for the picture. I noticed Michala pulling his cape over towards her. Not until I looked at the pictures later that day did I realize how far she had pulled it over. She almost covered herself up with it.

We stood there to watch some of the characters walk by. I got a little freaked out by the girl with the nail sticking out of her head. Sorry for all the Star Wars fans but I do not know everyone's names. I didn't know her and I wasn't about to go close to her to take a picture. I did get a picture of her later in the parade.

As we were standing there The Emperor and The Royal Guards came out. I was very freaked out by The Emperor. I was OK once I saw the girls were OK with him. I think they just know those things and feel safe and have a connection with them no matter what. The Emperor and one of the Royal Guards are very special friends of ours. We got pictures with them.

Next we were ushered over to see the Jedi. They were awesome! They were all three very good with the girls. The girls loved them. Of course our favorite was Kit Fisto. Next it was on to see Princess Leia. The girls thought she was beautiful and loved visiting with her.

You know those magical moments well this next one was definitely one of those. Well actually this entire day was magical!!! Next we were told that Chewbacca had requested a special meet & greet so that he could meet the "angels". We were lead behind their meet & greet area to a quiet spot. In just a little while Chewbacca and Ewok rounded the corner. Talk about breath taking. I thought The Beast was something. Chewy is really something! He was very very sweet to the girls. They feel in love with him right away. He made them smile! We have been watching the photo show on the TV today and they are still smiling.

It was time for our special meet & greet with our very own Clone Trooper. He was wonderful!!! It was lots of fun to spend a few special moments with him.

Next we headed over to see Luke Skywalker. As we walked up to him he said let me see we have Michala, Mary Elizabeth & Marlee Anne right? I was in such shock I couldn't speak. Remember now I am not real familiar with the movies so I wasn't sure if Luke was psychic or what. Then he looked at Lori and said you are our friend right? Too much! I couldn't figure our how he knew us. The girls got pictures with him and then Lori got a few pictures with him too.

It was time for us to go over to our parade spot. Renee had scoped out the perfect spot for us. As we were waiting for the parade to start I checked my cell phone. We were anxiously waiting to meet some very special Disboard members. They came to meet us at The Studios and realized it was a zoo so they went to Epcot. Sadly we didn't get to meet this trip. The parade was led by Jedi Mickey. That was so much fun!!! The whole parade was great. All the characters and stars were in the parade.

We were meeting our friends at 2:30 so we had a little bit of time to do some other things. We headed over to Rock n' Roller Coaster first to check out the wait time. I asked Mike if he was going to ride Tower of Terror with Lori. He said no and Lori didn't want to ride by herself so I told her I would ride with her. That is one of those been there, done that rides for me. I wasn't excited about riding but didn't mind it since it was for her. Once we got on the ride I panicked cause we didn't have anything, rail or bar to hold on to. She asked if I wanted to hold her hand. I told her I would hurt it. I could just imagine the Friends episode when Ross held Monica's hand when he was getting a shot. I tried to keep thinking of Friends during the ride but that didn't last long. After the first drop I grabbed the guy's leg that was next to me. I apologized and he said no problem. He held my hand the rest of the ride. I couldn't thank him enough!

We went back to check on Mike and the girls before getting on RNR. They were fine so off we went to my favorite ride. I just love love love this ride. We had to sit on the second to the last seat. I didn't enjoy that. We got knocked around a lot more than usual. It was a very rough ride and it's usually very smooth.

When we came out it was raining so we decided to check out some shops. We didn't want to go to far because we wanted to see the first Beauty and The Beast show at 1:30. When we got to the Legends of Hollywood store CM Bob took Eeyore up to Michala. He helped Eeyore give Michala a hug. Then he took Mary Elizabeth, Pooh and helped him give her a hug. I of course took pictures. Then I was taking a picture of Marlee Anne with a huge stuffed Pooh and Eeyore. CM Bob went over and got Tigger to make the photo complete. Those are what makes Disney moments special. CMs like Bob.

It was about 1:00 so we decided to go ahead and get in line for Beauty & The Beast. The line was wrapped all the way around. Once they opened the gates though it only took us a few minutes to get in. We had wonderful seats right up front. There was a Make A Wish family there along with another family with a special needs child. The mom stood up to take a picture of the dad and the son. I didn't get over to them until after she had taken it but I still offered to take a picture of all three of them. They were very very excited to have a picture made of all three of them. That was another beautiful and magical moment. I tell you this day was filled with them.

Beauty & The Beast show was great! We could have sat there all day and listened to Four For A Dollar perform. They were great!!!

After the show it was time to head over to meet our friends. Did I mention that these are some of the best CMs in the World? They are!!! Each trip our friendships are renewed and strengthened with them. Never did we dream that Masquerade would have such a huge impact on our lives. We just never have enough time to visit with them.

We met them at The Commissary so once we were finished we walked across the street to see Sulley & Mike. They knew the angels were there so they were excited to meet them. They were wonderful!!! Mike gave me kisses and lots of hugs. Yes I cried! They were lots of fun!!!

We headed over to Mickey Avenue to see Darth Mal and the Sand Troopers. We got a quick picture of a Sand Trooper going by but Darth Mal wasn't out. We went in to see Jedi Mickey. He was too cute!!!

Lori had never ridden Mission Space so we took the boat to Epcot. When we got on the boat all the seats were full. I guess since it was raining again everyone wanted to go back to their resorts. A very nice young man scooted over to share his seat with me so I could sit and hold Marlee Anne while she was sleeping. Very very nice!!! We went straight to Mission Space. Marlee Anne slept in my arms all the way over there. She was awake and playing in the tunnels when we got off the ride. We got right on and then headed back to The Studios. Well we had to make a pit stopped because Michala had a bad accident. I think she just wanted some new clothes. I went in and got her changed and all cleaned up. Then we headed to Mouse Gears to buy her new clothes.

We stopped at Canada on the way back to get a Beaver Tail. We got Cinnamon and Sugar. It was good but not something I would want again. I think next time I will try the maple one. As Mike was ordering I took pictures of the girls. They always match so this was very hard for me since they didn't match. I already have the scrapbook layout in mind that I am going to do.

We caught the boat back to the Studios. As we got on the boat a very nice lady with two children offered for them to get up so we could sit. We thanked her but declined because the box at the back was available for us to sit on. Perfect height to sit and hold on to the girls wheelchairs.

At 6:30 the ending Star Wars show was to begin. We headed straight back there to watch that. We got some more pictures with the other characters thanks to wonderful CMs Renee and Anthony.

We checked in at 50's Primetime Cafe to eat. Lori had never eaten there so it was a nice treat for her. We had a great meal before heading out.

I was so tired and knew the girls would sleep on the way to Jekyll. Lori can't sleep while riding at least not when riding with Mike so she sat up front with him so she could keep him awake. I sat in back and slept with the girls. When we got to Jekyll we were glad to see the place we were staying in was nice and large. Our condo was great. We were supposed to be pool side but we were playground side. Which later on we realized was a blessing.

Sounds like you all had a wonderful day...loved your photo show...didn't realize there was so many Star Wars characters around on the SW weekends

Thanks ya'll! There were even more characters that we didn't get pictures of. We kept missing them.

You did a great job with the photo show...it looks professional. Although I think a lot of the Star Wars characters are a little creepy - I'm glad your girls were OK with them.

Thanks for the trip report!
