listing on multiple reservations

Can a guest be listed on multiple room reservations for the same nights?
We have in-laws who would absolutely fit on our DVC suite reservation, but want a separate room so are staying at a moderate. But we happen to be going to EPCOT on a night with the extra evening hours, and would want them to be able to stay with us. Can I list them on our room so they can stay? Or will that mess with their separate room reservation?

I have done this several times with my family. Usually have problems charging to room and needing a key card to get into room (magic band apparently doesn't like it either).

Oh that's good to note. I will talk to them about it, but it hasn't done the thing the dining reservations do and tried to cancel anyone's rooms on you?
