Jedi Training Academy

We are heading to DLR for the weekend and this will be the first trip where my kids are excited about Star Wars. Can someone give me the lowdown on Jedi Training Academy? I have no idea how popular it is. Do we need to arrive early? Any tips/wisdom would be appreciated.

Hey! Jta is very popular. I would suggest arriving 30 mins prior to show time and sit in the very front. It's all floor seating. If you dress your kids in bright clothing or Star Wars attire there is a higher chance they will be picked. Have them be very animated so they are noticed. They take kids anywhere from age 4 to 12

It is different. A couple of the assistants come out and warm up the crowd, and let the kids know what the Master is looking for. Signs are also good. "Don't let the dark side take me!" "I want to be a Jedi!" stuff like that. Anything that makes the child stand out. They also need to be enthusiastic.

Thanks, all! We went this morning, showed up 3 minutes late, kids jumped up and down with hands in the air and were both picked to participate! I can't believe I've never even seen the show before - it was so well done and a great time for the kids. Afterwards they said, "we're going to do this a lot of times."

Make a sign (think 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper) before you go and just tuck it in your bag. We have done that every time and the boys every time have been picked. Also, I find the 1st show of the day less crowded.
