Jedi Academy Question

My son will be 3 weeks shy of his 4th birthday when we go to Disney in May. This is only the second time we've gone with kids and didn't do DHS last time. How strict are they on the 4 year old requirement for Jedi Academy? And is it pretty scary for the young kids or will a kid with a reasonable ability to be separated from parents and a bit of an adventurous streak be ok? My older daughters will be doing it too so he won't be alone if he is able to do it.

They are strict on the age thing. Also, both of your kids will be asked questions by Cast Members prior to the Academy show so they will have to answer those questions themselves. You will be present during the questioning but if they ask your son how old he is, you will have to choose if you want him to answer three or four and he will have to do it without hesitation.

As far as being with someone else, all kids are matched up with a "buddy". Our five year old grandson did the Academy and he was by himself so he was matched up with a similar aged child and after the show, my grandson, not the most vocal person in the world and a wee bit shy (OK, a lot shy), told his parents that "Jimmy" was his new best friend and laughed and waved goodbye to him and exclaimed that we needed to meet up with "Jimmy" and his family again!

I'm not going to teach him to lie so he'll have to miss out. I just wondered if they cared that much about the age. Thank you for the info. That's a very cute story about your grandson and his new best friend. :dogdance:
