January 8, 2005 Magic Cruise - Let's Get Ready to Cruise!

We have not received our Docs yet, but I talked to our ta on Christmas Eve and she said we will get them on Monday for sure by priority mail. Nice to know where they are.
Chris

My DS and I got our doc's but my wife's Mom & Sister have not received theirs. I'm going to call tomorrow to see what's up.

It looks like we are going to stick with the DCL bus for transport and my MIL/SIL are driving from NC to meet us at the port.

Hope everyone is doing well. Take that vitamin C and stay well for a few days longer! :grouphug: :cheer2:

Well, I hope everyone had a nice Christmas!

New Year's Eve is coming up and then our trip...what an exciting time this is!!

Since we are driving down and spending a couple of days at Universal, we are leaving on January 3rd, which is already next Monday. I just can't stop thinking that next Sunday night at this same time we will be all packed and going to bed early so that we can rise early and start the journey! Of course, that means I have only one week to get organized so I guess I'd better get to it!!!!!!!!

Ah, happy days.

We are recovering from three wonderful days celebrating Christmas.

It's snowing here as well, we have a fire burning in the fireplace, and our daughter is going through our previous Disney cruise photo albums. We all can't wait!

Here's hoping those remaining docs come soon.

I, too, booked through Costco and haven't received our doc's yet. I'm going to call Costco and Disney to see what's up.

Stacey

Thanks for all your help. I am going to wait until after the mail comes tomorrow to call Costco.

No, we didn't book through Costco. We used Small World travel and everything has to go to their main office first. So we'll be sitting on top of the mail box ready to pounce when the mail man pulls up.
Chris

Hi everyone! The cruise is getting so close and I just got done reading most of the posts for this cruise and since my bf and I will be joining you all I wanted to introduce ourselves. First of all my name is Stacy (19) and my boyfriend is Shelby (22) and we are both big disney fans, especially since we live about an hour from Walt Disney World, so we can go whenever we get the disney itch! :D Anyways this will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. The first cruise we went with my family, the second cruise we went by ourselves, and now this time we are goin with Shelby's family. Shelby's family is his Dad Jim, his mom Diane, and his sis Angela (17). We are really excited about the cruise especially now that Christmas is over and it is only 2 weeks away! WOOHOO! I cannot wait!

Oh and BTW we don't have our Docs Yet!!!!!!!! :sad2:

Here's hoping we get them tomorrow!

Stacy

Hi nuslmom,

Peyton and Presley will be really excited. I'm going to put both of my girls in the 8-9 age group in the Oceaneer's Lab so that they can be together. They don't want to be separated.

Can't wait to meet Emma

Welcome Yunchman!! Very cute pug in your signature! LOL.

So do we really have a Staci, a Stacy, and a Stacey in this group? That is kind of funny isn't it? What are the chances? LOL.

Allison (but thinking of changing my name to Stacey).

P.S. I am looking forward to all the doc updates today! I'll be thinking of you!

Good morning to all and Welcome Stacy.
Yes, it looks like we have Staci, Stacey, and Stacy in the group. Wow!
I hope everyone receives their doc's today. My MIL leaves on Wed. then I will begin the serious cruise planning.
Have a great day!
Staci

Greetings fellow Jan. 8th cruisers. My Dad (73) and I (48) will be on that cruise, too. He got his docs Fri. (in Oregon). I live in St. Louis and am still waiting for my docs. ANymore old people on the cruise?
Sue

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new poster to the thread. My family is booked on the Jan. 8 sailing. This is our 4th time on the Magic. We are a group of four, myself, DH, DD (19) and her girlfriend (19). Very excited that Christmas is behind us (although it was great) and can now focus on getting ready for 2 days at WDW and THE CRUISE!!! Our last cruise was in the summer of '03, way too long ago! Nice to "meet" everyone.

Jackie

P.S. There is no one named Stacy in our group. :D

I, too, noticed the number of Stacey's on this cruise and mentioned it to my dh. LOL! Maybe we'll have to go by Stacey (last name initial ) :flower1:

I was reviewing my Passporter DCL book today and came up with a few questions for those of you who've cruised Disney before.

1. What suggestions do you have for the carry on bags? Anything that you thought of "after the fact" that you'll be sure to remember this time?

2. Anyone know if the Magic is still doing the Tropicalli night? I thought I heard that it was phased out/replaced with a Pirate night.

3. Has anyone ever used "safe sea" sunscreen? It was recommended in the Passporter as it has an anti-stinging agent to keep away stinging sea creatures.

4. I was looking over the options for reservations that need to be made the first day and am really torn on whether or not to plan a visit to Palo? Is it better to schedule later in the week? Since this is our first DC, I want to be sure that we experience the regular restaurants --or is there one worth skipping for Palo?

5. I read about decorations that you can bring to decorate your state room door? I'm guessing, from what I've read, that the doors are magnetic. Anyone ever done this? What decorations did you put up?

6. Has anyone done the dolphin/sting ray excursion? We're signed up for this, but just wondering what your thoughts are on this.

THANK you soooo much!! :sunny: I'm really looking forward to your responses.

Stacey "S".

:Pinkbounc :grouphug: Yeah Chris glad you got your docs. Can you believe it is coming soooooo soon. My DH and DS watched the DVD from DCL tonite, now that we have given our son the trip for a present from Santa we can talk out loud about it. He is only five and just doesn't seem to get it, but to be honest it really has not sunk in to us yet either. Oh well, cannot wait to see all of you. Have a great packing week.

Marylee

I was just wondering, since the rocket launch was cancelled ( :charac2: ) does any one know when and where we will meet up?

...oh and I think I will get in my cruise fix today by filling out all the forms! Anyone else do that yet? :Pinkbounc

Allison, I filled out our documents the night we got them. LOL

Welcome, JackieJackson, Slabeaume, and Yunchman! Looks like I need to update the cruising list.

Not only do we have three Staci, Stacy, Stacey's, we have at least three Lisa's too!

Brack, you've had experience setting up cruise meets. Why don't you select the place and time for Sunday for the gang to meet?
