Yahoo, docs arrived yesterday, when I got home from work I opened the front door to check the mail and in between the storm door and front door was that gorgeous little brown box!!!!! Yippee. I am anxious to hear from everyone else. See ya all soon.

I am waiting for two packages todays; one of them is OUR doc's (our son's came yesterday). I am not going anywhere and have a chair next to the front window.

At least it snowed last night (it's only a dusting but it is still snow in Oklahoma!)

Hello All,

I just spent the last hour or so reading ALL the posts on the Jan. 8th cruise thread..whew!

My family and I [dh, ds (10) and dd (6)] are soooooooooooo excited about this cruise!!!
cool1 We booked it the end of June and can't believe it's so close to sail time. As of 12/22, we had not received our docs either. I chuckled when I read the posts about flagging down the UPS man. The FedEx truck came to our door late in the afternoon (12/22) and I was so excited, my dd and I flew down the stairs to meet him. Well...it was a holiday package from my in-laws -- usually a welcome surprise -- but today, I was slightly disappointed that it was "only" a package and not our cruise docs.

My dh and I have cruised twice, but this is our first Disney cruise and a *BIG* first for our children.

I wish I had found this group sooner. My ds was reading over my shoulder and was intriqued by how many different places everyone is from. Today was the kid's last day of school, so I think the reality of the trip is starting to sink in...of course, once Santa flies, I think they're anticipation will be almost unbearable.

Look forward to at least a little conversation prior to sailing.

Still no docs for us. I am getting a little nervous here about not having them, we leave for FL in two weeks. Two weeks! Can you believe it.

Yesterday, my DD was sent home from school with a temp. While she slept the afternoon away, I worked on packing.

Hi Stacey, welcome to the group! I know what you mean about Christmas, once that has come and gone then the cruise excitement will really kick in!

Although, so far my boys are far more excited about the "Spiderman" ride at Universal than the cruise but then, I don't think they have any clue what to expect with a cruise. I think they will be stunned when they see the ship. The only other boat they have been in before is a canoe and for all I know they could be envisioning a week on that! LOL.

I think I've been reading this board too intensely and too often. We woke up to 6 or so inches of snow and when I looked on our deck, it reminded me of a lovely, soft-sand beach. I really need to get on the ship now. I'm losing it.

Also, it frightens me when I look at the upper righthand corner of the screen and it says,

I did get a laugh out of that one. Other than the cruise video, my kids have really no idea what to expect either. For awhile my dd wasn't sure of the size of the ship and had a few questions. She also asked about being stuck at sea. My ds wanted to know about storms and waves. Oh goodness, PLEASE let the weather be GLORIOUS!!

Not sure what to do first today --Christmas? Cruise? Christmas? Cruise? Too tough a decision. Is it possible to have half my heart in the holidays and half in the Carribbean?

We have only been in the Raleigh area for 7 years. We live in a small, but fast growing little town South of Raleigh called Holly Springs. We LOVE it here. My dh and I are originally from Norfolk, Va.

STILL no docs! Hoping they come today....{fingers crossed}

Hello,

Thank you for the nice welcome to the loop. We STILL haven't received our docs...beginning to wonder if they'll ever arrive. A little nervous that they will arrive and they'll be sitting on our front porch.

We were supposed to be traveling back home tomorrow, but are now STUCK in Virginia due to an unexpected snow storm!! There is about 2-3 inches and it's still coming down! Of course, when I decide (for the first time ever!) to pack *only* for the days we'll be gone, we get delayed with too few clothes and no snow/winter gear! At least we are at my mom's -- good company & food, comfortable accommodations, and internet access!

I am PRAYING that the weather on our departure day is nice! Ready to go now!!
