This sounds like so much fun...how do you know who/how many are participating? Do groups just sort of "form" here? It sounds like a really cool way to come home with lots of mementos of the trip and new friends!

Well Jan was our first (we booked in Oct) so when I came on here, it was already underway. Someone organizes it...basically you would send room #, how many Adults in the room, how many children sex and age. Some adults put their sex and age too...Well I met a bunch of friends on here, as a matter of fact we are getting together with one couple in the next few weekends for dinner, they are also going on this cruise again....

Nice to see familiar names in here! We booked this date while onboard in January and thought we would push it back to 2013, but are getting the itch. Trying to convince my parents and in-laws to join us so we can get some family time. Can't wait to decide!!!

We haven't decided if we are "booking for real" yet. Plan to do so in the next couple weeks I really want to go!

Hi! We will be joining the cruise, just DH and I. We are leaving the kids out for this one to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Just got back yesterday from the Wonder repo cruise from LA to Vancouver and had a blast! It was an amazing trip, we loved LA, SF and Vancouver. Now I can focus on this one. We have been on the Magic to St Thomas and St Croix, but never to St Maarten. Has anyone started a FE list yet?

This will be our second cruise on DCL Our first one was in September 2005. Our group is ME 40, DH 38, DS 9, DS 7, DD 3. This is the first cruise for our DD We are all so excited! Our DS 20 will not be cruising with us because he is not able to take the time off from college

PrincessLKMiller, FE is a fish extender. I just asked the same question on the cruise forum. On the outside of each cabin is a fish ornament which is used to hold notes from the crew of the ship. A fish extender is a pouch like a shoe organizer that you can decorate and hang on the fish so that other disboards members can come around and leave you little trinkets. It sounds like a lot of fun to me. I hope I explained it okay.

You organize a list and everyone on the list goes around and puts "gifts" in each other's FE. We did it on our last cruise for the first time and had a blast. Every time we came back to our cabin, there was a surprise waiting in the FE, everything from magnets for our door, pens, candy, stickers, and even a laundry bag. We had as much fun delivering our goodies as getting them. I made my FE, it is simple and homemade, it worked well. You can make your own or order one, there are several threads dedicated to this and ideas for goodies to give or make. It was a lot of fun!

I work in a hospital and I just found out that a married couple that work at the same hospital will be on this cruise too (with their young children).That was funny. I never expected anyone I knew to be on the cruise with us.

Hello all!
I am very excited to say I will be on this cruise with you! DF and I were booked on a Med cruise this August but due to the Navy not being able to tell us if/when he would be moving we decided the best thing to do would be to cancel before it was too late and use the DVC points for a later cruise. We are sad as we were loooking forward to Italy but there is so much on this cruise that we are happy about!

We have a navigatiors veranda booked (big upgrade from the regular inside stateroom we had booked for the Med!). The extra sea days are a big plus and we get to see CC! And we are staying at WDW for 5 days before the cruise (with the low price of the Military Salute tickets this year we would be stupid not to go)
Our only "must do's" so far are Maho beach in St. Maartin and the sting ray adventure on CC. We do want to join the FE when it is started. If those of you who have done the Eastern before have any recomendations we would love to hear them!

I hope this isn't "jumping the gun," but I'm already making preparations for this cruise (my first!), and I am interested to see what I'm looking at in terms of FE gifts!
