January 25, 2009 on the WONDER

I really enjoyed writing that report! I don't know if I am going to start as early this time! :lmao: We will see what the muse holds!

TOO TRUE! I think there was only like 10 posts on the one I tried and all but 2 were me! Nice to have some DIS company this time. There was a big convention on baord when I went which may have led to the low DIS turnout.

:(

You can pull us off the list for this cruise. DH and I talked about it and we cancelled to rebook in May 2009.

We have travelled to WDW every May since 2004 and because of a conference trip in January 2008 and another planned one in July with my whole family we got off our May-Nov/Dec routine. We talked and realized how much we really missed it, so we did a pro and con list and even though it means a longer time between trips, we're excited about getting back into normal.

Now the fun part - deciding between the 4 night, the 7 night Eastern and the 7 night Western!

I will miss meeting you all - have a WONDERful trip!!!

SLK- sorry to hear you won't be joining us - good luck in planning your May trip - go for the 7 night!!! :goodvibes

How is everyone else doing out there? ...the thread's been quiet for awhile...I am so excited that summer is almost here... the cold weather has been killing me... :rotfl:

Our kids just spent three hours in the neighborhood pool. It is a good time of year. The water was very brisk and I spent more time looking at it than swimming. In is amazing how your tolerance for chilly water decreases as your age increases! :rotfl2:

Hoping everyone is having a good Memorial Day. A Big Thanks to any vets out there.

Sorry to hear you not coming with us SLK. Hope you have fun later on.

I'll be heading down for Star Wars Weekend next month. Hoping to hang out with a few Stormtrooper friends of mine. Anyone need anything while I'm down there???

We bought the stuff to make our fish extender!!! I will post pictures when we finish it... Is it January yet???

Have fun Ramon!

Ashman.... I loved your trip report! I just read it in one sitting! It will be fun to meet you all!

Thanks! I almost had as much fun writing that thing as I did on the cruise....... almost!:rotfl2: I am already trying to figure out how to do the next one! We are doing a three night right befor thanksgiving that the kids know about. They DON'T know about this one, so I am hoping to do a 2 for 1 super surprise trip report, we will see. It's neat to hear that folks are still reading the first one.

Hi all
Count us in for this cruise....It will be my hubby and myself plus our 6 year old twin girls.
We are leaving from Concord NC (yes, we live by Lowes Motor Speedway lol)

We are very excited about this cruise...we have taken cruises with other lines...had a horrible experience with the kids on Carnival in Oct...they had the pools drained for the whole cruise (what else do you do with kids without a pool lol) We are hoping this will be a better experience!

Welcome and Howdy from your neighbor in Greensboro. I think you will find it ALOT better than Carnival. Read some trip reports to get a good feel for what to expect and ask lots of questions! Are you driving down? I know we have another family from Charlotte that is.

Hi there!
Thanks for the welcome...Yes we are driving....we are going to come down on that Thursday and spend some time at Disney and Universal.
We are hoping that this will be much better than Carnival...my hubby and I are actually getting ready to try RCCL in 15 days (sans kids :) ). We almost brought them with us, but I think Disney will be a much better experience for them.

I cant wait to get to Castaway Cay...

Hi Mintee! Good to see you in this forum! Read Ashman's trip report... it's awesome! Talk to you soon!

Welcome aboard! We cruised Carnival once with the kids a few years ago & have found DCL so much better for them! Are your girls into the princesses - there's quite a few opportunities on board to meet them!

Hey Ramon, thanks for the offer! My DH is a big fan as well - he just stayed up 1/2 the night trying to figure out how to rip a DVD to his iphone - he finally got it done - of course it was one of the Star Wars movies lol

have fun!

Well we are into princesses...but we are so much more into Hannah Montana and High School Musical...so I think the karoke and family dance are right up their alley

I hope you disney veterans share with us some do not miss tips!

On our last cruise they played some HSM songs at the sailaway party - they also showed HSM on the jumbo screen by the Goofy pool at one point during the cruise as well, so they should love that :goodvibes
