Hi Samily...

My dd turns 10 on the 24th... when I booked our cruise, they said we could celebrate her bday on the first night... I wonder what they do for kids' birthdays?

By the way, I found some wall organizers on ebay that would work for the fish extender, but I think we will try to make our own. If you do a search on ebay for "mickey wall organizer" it will bring up a couple of options for you.

Sounds like we'll have a lot of bday celebrations and one special annivesary!!!

We have been on the ship a few times around my DD's bday - one night at dinner they will bring out a special "cake" and sing happy bday. She has also gotten a bday pin to wear like Pumba's Dad mentioned. Every CM that sees it stops and wishes a happy bday. There are also stateroom decorations that can be ordered ahead of time on the DCL website.

Hey there everyone!

I am cruising with my husband and our daughters who will be 11, 10 and almost 8 at the time we set sail.

My husband and I will be celebrating our honeymoon aboard the ship. We actually eloped this last Friday but are planning a beach ceremony while docked in Nassau. Best part is....the kids have NO IDEA! So, we booked the land/sea package and will not be telling them the part about the cruise until the morning we check out of the Beach Club. They've been begging to go on the Mickey boat for years, so this will be a dream come true for them. And my hubby and I too!

The fish extender sounds like a great idea. Count us in!

Thanks so much everyone for the warm wishes!! We are super happy and even have MORE news to share. We are moving back to Houston on June
6th!! DeForest is just north of Madison, and after our brutal winter, we've decided we have had enough! So...off we go. Wish us luck, and I'll be in touch again soon!

It's so awesome to see everyone on here. It's going to make our cruise so much fun getting to meet in person. Have a good one!!

I want to participate in the fish extender....we are 3 my dd is 8. Again we will be with my PIL and my dh's brother and wife and their twins 5.

Also is anyone doing a land and sea with the land at the end? I called to ask if I could put the land at the end and they said no. IF that is truly the case we'll have to book it seperate. It will be a surpise to DD!!

You might want to book it seperate anyway. Many folks tend to think that you get a better deal overall that way

Well, we can add two more to this cruise. My parents are going! We broke the news to my parents today. I posted about it in the cruise forum. I should copy and paste the story here.

I'm not too much into groups, but my parents have had a really rough year, and I wanted to do something special for them. I really hope they enjoy this!

I am considering doing a "live from" report for our October cruise I just booked for just me & my DH for our anniversary - the first time vacationing without kids! I thought the kids might get kick out of the report - or it could backfire and remind them they are not with us I'll have to think about it for a while...
