I'n not sure how often we should do it... what is everyone else thinking? Has anyone in this group done this before?

Ok, I think this is the latest fish extender list (let me know if I've missed anyone):

melsherard - 4 people (2 DD's 7 & 10)
pumba's dad - 4 people (DD 12, DS 14)
texasgal74 - 5 people (3DD's 11, 10, 8)
samily - 5 people (DD 11, DS 7, DS 4)
jennyh2829 - 3 people (DD 8)

We'll also need to add cabin #'s.

There have been a couple newcomers since we started this, let us know if you would like to join in the gift exchange...

As far as how often we do gifts, what are everyone's thoughts? I have read where some exchanges do a gift everyday, while some assign certain days to certain people so you know you'll get at least one gift a day - what do you guys want to do?

I'm getting excited for this - have started to pick up little things for gifts but haven't gotten our fish extender yet - jenny, i'm with you- I'll probably get one off of ebay too...melissa & ramon, you'll have to post a pic when you're done with yours!

Good news/bad news

I am doing a career shift. I will be closing down my business to take up a career teaching Latin. Good news! No GREAT news! Bad news, we won't be able to make the trip. Have a great cruise everyone!

Were you able to change your cruise?

I assume you are going to be teaching at a university or get lucky and teach in a High School? I lived in NC for 4 years before moving again and taught in Henderson.. at the time I arrived the school was the worst school in the state.. it was the best job ever! The challenges were amazing.

I think it would be ok to just do one day, although if we stay small like this we could possibly do something every day. I gues it depends on how big this gets. I'm open to whatever...

I have read where people do all sorts of things - from Disney stuff, to pirate stuff, to stuff from their hometown - some people make stuff themselves - really anything you want - it just needs to fit in the fish extender!

How are you already buying stuff? How many are you buying for? I have wanted to as I see things but haven't yet...

Maybe we should leave it up to each individual family, whether they want to do one day, or all 4. I think it is going to be fun, whatever we do...

I have not started buying anything yet, but I do have some good ideas... I was kind of waiting to see how many families are participating before I pick anything up...

Me too, waiting to see how many. Although if someone has a good estimate I'll go by that.

On another note, I booked us at the Sheraton suites today for the 24th. Rates are $149 for a suite. I thought it was pretty good for me.

Still waiting on airfare though....

As I've seen things I like I've picked them up - a few things here, a few things there...I figure if I end up with extras I can use them on our 3 night following this cruise - we're not doing a gift exchange on that one but I can always leave something for my kids and my niece & nephew...

How are you guys doing on your fish extenders?

Has anyone booked flights yet? The prices are ridiculous right now!! We were able to get some good rates to fly down but we haven't booked anything coming home yet. Hopefully Southwest's fares will be reasonable when they release them - we've had good luck with them in the past...

Yes! We booked our flights a couple of weeks ago... I was going to wait, but a friend of mine (she's a ta) called and said Delta was having a great sale... so we got ours for $158 per person round trip... $632 for our whole family which I thought was pretty great...
I was worried about waiting too long, with all of the additional fees they are adding, and the price of gas the way it is

there are 5 of us.. including ddtwins 7, and dd 5

We will only be able to do it one time.. but with such a large group I think if we divide it up into groups and days that there will be plenty of "fish" in our fish extenders!!!

We can't wait we're addicted already and have never been!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this thread as this will be our very first disney cruise. It's sort of a family vacation ... my and my husband who live in the suburbs of Chicago, my brother and his wife that live in Florida and my parents who also live in Florida. All of them (excluding me & hubby) have done the Disney Cruise and this is our first. It took a lot for me to book a cruise ... I'm terrified of everything ... mainly going overboard! I guess I've just seen too much Dateline so it's stuck in my head. Anyway, thought I'd just pop in and say hello!!!!! It's so neat for a thread to be about people going on the same exact cruise!!!!!!!
