Yay! I was waiting for someone to start this group! We are going January 4-9, then a 3 night cruise on the Disney Dream.
It will be me, DH, DS (6), DS (6 months) and my parents. I can't wait... I miss WDW so much!!! 339 days, but who's counting!

Let's chat resorts (because it's one of my favorite things to obsess over)...what are we all thinking? Value? Moderate? Deluxe? Is anyone a DVC member? We're thinking a moderate. I want CSR but my sister wants POFQ...I usually do the booking, but we'll see who wins!

We always stay at POR.. It just feels like home to us. I always think I want to explore around but always book POR. Now if I won a trip or something crazy happened where we had more $$, I would LOVE to stay at the Poly.

We will be there the same time!! Undecided about where to stay...it really depends on what kind of discount my cousin, who is a CM can get us that week. If we were not using her discount, I would do POR for sure but if we can get a nice discount on a family suite either at AOA or ASMu...I'm ok with that too. We did LOVE the suites at AOA and the bus service was great too so time will tell.

I am also planning a trip in Jan '15 -- around Jan 3-10. I'm glad there are other people who think planning the trip is almost as fun as actually going! This is just my 2nd time at Disney World. We live close to Disneyland so we go there quite a bit. And I love it there (remodeled Disneyland Hotel is great!). But Disney World is extra special! First trip was in Jan '12 for DD 13th birthday. Now we are planning a trip for her 16th birthday. Was thinking about taking just her and her best friend and adding a 3 night cruise to Bahamas. But now my two older sons want to go so trip is expanding (and cruise is probably out).

In 2012 we had a split stay at Polynesian and Swan. Now we are thinking of BC, but I am hearing good things about AoA suites. Any feedback on BC vs AoA suites? Also, if anyone has done a cruise and resort stay -- is it too much to do in one vacation? (I don't want to be stressed out!) Thanks!

We've officially decided on January and i'm 98% sure on Pop Century preferred but now i'm trying to decide when!

My original dates were 21st-30th now i'm debating on going earlier...any suggestions?

I'd love to join in the chat. We are hoping to be at WDW from 12-20 Jan. We are coming all the way from Australia so this trip has been 3 years in the making (saving/planning!)

We figure if we are going travel 30+ hours to get there we may as well make it worth our while!
So we are doing 5 days in NYC, 4nt cruise on DCL Dream, 3 days Universal and then finishing off with 8 days at Pop Century.

It will be me, DH, DS(9) and DD(7) Haven't told the kids yet so I am looking forward to surprising them!

My 2 year old princess thinks we are making the drive back to Disney World every time we get in the car. Haha. Can't wait to start the planning process again

I spent 1 day at Epcot in 2001 and my husband and son have never been there at all.

I'm hoping to spend 5 nights in a Value Resort and other than that, I'm just in the beginning stages of researching. SUPER excited!

Same here! My DH thinks I'm crazy, but I've already planned out all our ADRs. And changed them several times! Just wait until I can actually book them!

I'm tentatively joining this board! DH & I have agreed that we will go to WDW when we have each lost 50 pounds! I think I can talk him into booking when we've lost 30 lbs tis trip would be a first trip for our entire family - me, DH, DS (almost 4), DD (1 1/2) and DD (1 1/2). Even though the girls will only been 2 1/2 at the time of the trip and we would fit in a standard room, we are (I am) planning on a family suite - likely ASMu.

We hope to try renting DVC points for the first time. I already have a request into David's DVC now for a studio. Our first choice is AKV Jambo House, second choice is AKV Kidani Village, third choice is BWV. I'm crossing my fingers for one of the first two.

I want to join this group!!!

We are a family of 4 heading down for another fun-filled family vacation. Our boys are currently 9 and 4, but both will have a birthday before we go. The plan is to go down for Marathon Weekend so that my husband can run. I'd love to stay from 1/9-1/16 but we'll have to see if we can get a decent room code or something.

We've stayed deluxe in the past, either Poly or Wilderness Lodge. This year, we'd like to try the YC/BC because of it's proximity to Epcot. That's all dependent on whether or not their are any deals out there, though. If not, we will likely book at POR.

Before I can get into full planning mode, though, I have a short trip down planned with my littlest guy. We are traveling to WDW in April.
