Hello Everyone! :wave2:

I found this forum some days ago only to have a look and some informations about WDW vacations, cause I never go to WDW (I'm from Italy) ...
But now I'm here to plan a possible trip to WDW on next January!

I need a lot of help!

I don't know if it's possible to plan a trip like this in a few days/weeks, but I really need to know as much as possible to decide if this possible-trip can be a real-trip. :confused3

So ...

Who?
- Me (Giulia - 26y.o. - I went 5 times to Disneyland Paris)
- My Housband-To-Be (Marco - 29 y.o. - Only 1 time to DLP)

When?
13rd-25th January : - But we'll arrive in Miami, stay here on 13-17
(any suggestions also for Miami?!?)
- then move to Orlando till 24,
- on 25th come back to Miami to return flight

Where?
- Some Off-site Hotel (stay in any of WDW Hotel its too expensive)

What?
- Magic Kingdom
- Epcot
- Hollywood Studios
- Animal Kingdom
- Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon --> ?!?!? (I don't know if its enough hot)
- Universal Studios
- Universal Islands Of Adventure
- Kennedy Space Center

Why?
- For Celebrate our 4th Anniversary
- To Have a lot of FUN&HAPPINESS!!! :rotfl:

------

I need any suggestions for: :scratchin

- Hotel --> Off-site, better if it has a free shuttle service to WDW and Universal Studios.

- Meal --> I think we'll not buy any meal-package, cause I want more "freedom" for the meal choose.
But ... Which restaurant do you think is a "Must-to-go"? Do I need to book it?
(Is there a website where I can find the menù and prices?)

- Transportations --> Which is the better (fastest) way to go from a park to another? :drive:

- Photopass --> Buy or not?

- Everything you think that I have to know! :thumbsup2

----------

I'm sorry for all this questions, but I really need to know everything to decide if I can do it or not! :)

(If you need, I can help you to organize a trip to DLP or ... Italy! ;) )

I think you will be surprised at how affordable staying on site at Disney would be.

I hear there are a lot of great international discounts available. a Disney hotel only costs about 100 per night. I would recommend Pop Century.

With that you can take advantage of Disney transportation. The bus transportation is the easiest although not all always the best, because it can take a little bit more than driving directly.

Regarding menus- i use allears.net or wdwinfo.com

Some must does would be

'Ohana
Cinderella's Royal Table- dine with the princesses
Chef Mickey's- dine with Mickey and gang
Le Cellier- Canadian steakhouse in Epcot

Hi Rachel,

thank you for your answer!

I know that stay on-site could be less stressful, but it will cost like 500$ more than stay off-site. :sad1:

Thank's for the restaurants suggestions, I forgot to tell that Marco doesn't want any princess or Characters :confused3:mad::mad::mad::mad::confused3
but the Canadian one seems great for him! ;)

Right now Disney has a discount for January that is very convenient because it includes hotel, meals, tickets and transportation (which would save you time and money.) my family of four adults just booked for a 10 day stay for 2700 dollars including all of the above. food inside the parks can be a little pricey. Hotels outside of Disney offer shuttle, but most of them have a fixed schedule which limits your time in the parks.

I have been researching for options to go to universal, seaworld and Kennedy space center myself. Here's what I've found so far: tickets for universal and seaworld can be bought online which saves you a few dollars, transportation to universal costs about 26 dollars each way, there is a public bus that can take you to seaworld for just 2 dollars each way, it is bus 50 from Lynx (at least from downtown disney).
I found a tour to Kennedy space center that costs 99 dollars including transportation and tickets they are called gray line Orlando gator tours, on the other hand, if you want you can have a private charter that costs around 350 to take you there plus 50 each ticket ( which I think is very expensive-at least for me) another option is to just go ahead and rent a car for the week, that allows you to go wherever you want- don't miss the outlets you can get designer things much more cheaper.

I think photo past is a good idea, photos are great,I'm planning to buy it in my trip on january. however, for us international travelers the best option is to get it there ( not online) you go to one of the photo stores ( there is one in down town disney) and buy your CD there Do this on the last day of trip they will include all the pictures in your photo pass card ( which is given to you by a photographer in the parks)

Last January I also went to Miami first, what did there was shop, but you can also go to the beach there.

Hope it helps you a little bit,

Greeting from Costa Rica, Latin America,

Ohh and the water parks at that time have some refurbishing which means closed- You can check on the disney page for the exact dates. I went in January this year and it was to cold , for me used to warm weather, to swim. One day they even closed them due to weather.

Restaurant, if they are table service, must be booked in advance, check the disney page for this. Check menus and prices here http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm dining plan can only be purchased if you stay on site

Hi Yarlin!

Thanks for your suggestions!

I've tried on the official website of WDW but my total for 5nights + quick meal is about 1300$ .... If I buy 6day tickets (with park hopper, NO waterparks) and a hotel off-site I will spend 650+200 .... I don't know how much is the car rental but I think I will spend less than 500$!!!

A car rental for a week will be between $120-150 for a compact car. Orlando is not a cheap place to eat. It is set up for tourists so most everything is more expensive. If you are ok with McDonalds type food you will stay at around $5-10 per person per meal. On the other hand if you want real food, your looking at between $15-30 per person per meal. In the parks a full lunch is about $10-15 dollars but this is again a quick service(McDonald style) meal.

5 day x $15per meal x 2 people x 2meals = $300

Plus many hotels charge you to park your car and a resort fee when you arrive. These can range from $10 a night to 15-20% of your total bill.

Ok, I understand that it's better to book on-site hotel + dining plan . :cheer2:

But I don't understand somethings:

- Do I have Breakfast included in the price? Or I have to use some "dining plan ticket" for it?

- If I want to have lunch in a buffet restaurant and I have a "Quick-meal ticket" can I use the ticket and pay the difference?

- Is the "disney's magical express" bus from Airport to WDW free? Cause when I tried to do a price simulation on the site and don't have any charge for it.

I'm sorry for all these questions, but I really don't know anything! :confused3
But I know everything about Disneyland Paris if you need! :thumbsup2

Quick meals won't work for a non quick meal, or non counter service.:(. You'd just pay out of pocket.

Magical Express goes from the airport to your WDW hotel, and is free.

Staying offsite, I don't think you can use it.

And ...breakfast isn't included complimentary. You'd use a dining credit, or pay yourself.:)

Least, I don't think any of the hotels offer a free breakfast...

It's very different from Disneyland Paris, cause there you have free breakfast always in the on-site disney hotels!

I decide to stay in the All Star Music Resort, that's the cheapest one!

Really?! That's great!

I think...I think they are owned by someone else now, I think? I read it somewhere. Hmm.

My husband wants to move to England. I tell him he will have to take me to DLP often.:)

Yes, DLP it's owned by a French company and the 49% of its share are owned by an Arabian Sheik!

If you'll move to England you MUST go often to DLP !!! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Boma is great. In Animal Kingdom Lodge. Buffet style.

Via Napoli in Epcot in Italy, phenomenal. I'm not sure how authentic, so of course...might not be for you, but I'd kill for their pizza.;)

What foods do you like?
I'd browse restaraunt forum. I've found lots of great info there. Just keep in mind, take reviews with a grain of salt.:)

We love Photopass. But, its pricey. If you don't care about magic shots (pictures with things digitally added), and the cd of stock photos...I'd ask the photopass photogs to snap a pic with your personal camera. I haven't done this. But everyone says its no big deal, they'd love to do it for you.:)

Hope some others chime in to help!:-)

I like every kind of food, "normal", spicy, chinese, mexican .... but not sushi.
Marco likes everything but not too much spicy and also have an allergy for shellfish/mollusk/clam/crustacean but he can eat normal fish.

I think I'll not going to the italian restaurant cause I would like to taste new food. Or maybe I'll eat here if I NEED some italian food!!! :rotfl:

I would like to do photopass cause I really love pictures, I think that are the most important souvenirs!
(also last january in DLP the only souvenirs I bough were 4 pictures took by DLP's photograph!)
I saw some magic shots from a friend of mine and I really liked theme!
:cool1::cool1::cool1:
But are there any discounts for photopass?
