January 2013 Discounts

Just booked our flight!!! we're leaving Denmark 12/20, arriving at MCO just after midnight! And then our Orlando vacation begins.... We'll be visiting Islands of Adventure, Sea World, Discovery Cove, Tampa, St. Augustine and Daytona Beach

Have a MYW package from 12/30-1/5 at AOA! But we will actually stay at WDW until our flight home 1/7 - but couldn't extend our stay at LM AOA... Will try to call again! I have to call anyway since my Grandma and my cousin desided to join us....

Hoping for FD or RO discount... So I might change resort and/or do a split stay! I'm hoping and crossing my fingers for FD from 1/1 or 1/2 - so if I'm lucky I'll do a RO at AOA from 12/30 until FD start and then a MYWP at AOA (if the LM rooms are included) - or maybe ASmo or FQ (to get the DDP instead of the QS)

COME ON DISNEY!!! Release the discounts so that I know if I'm dealing with FD, RO or no discount at all! Then I have to skip the QSDP and all of my TS ressies!

I was able to get a GREAT 25% discount off of my room only reservation for our July 2012 trip. REALLY hoping for this again! I got back $500 from that discount!

Did I read in an earlier post that they typically do not give discounts during race weekend. We are going for 5 nights; 5 days at park. Would maybe any of this qualify for a discount IF they have one based on the past. What is the change fee? Thanks!

From what I understand they don't usually offer FD for marathon weekend. I have had RO discount marathon weekend. There is no change fee at Disney.

Heading down 1/3/12-1/7/12. In November 2009, I got no free dining but did score a 30% discount. I'm hoping for free dining but would love a discount to get some cash back. I'm paid in full already and have locked in flights and everything.. So not looking to move dates.

We have nights booked over Marathon weekend through Mouse Fan Travel - they are offering some fabulous group discounts over those days...and they can add on days at the beginning or end...not sure how many is allowed, but we have added 2 on each end before. This year we added one day before and one after.

Disney rates are higher for Marathon weekend beginning on Jan 10th through the 13th.

It's looking more and more like October 1st will be the day FD comes out for January. Given the current promotion is offered until September 30th and that most promotions are initially offered on Mondays. Grrrr......I want to book our airfare before the prices are out of control, the cost has already gone up since we first started planning. What is the point of waiting for free dining if we then spend what we would have saved on higher priced flights???

I have been able to call with an existing reservation, and ask them to "apply code____ " to it. I have been able to keep the same reservation, from what I remember. This is different if you are changing from room only to a package (as in free dining), for which I think you need a whole new reservation.

To check codes, I keep checking mousesavers.com. Also, people on this thread will probably report any codes as they are aware of them.
