January 2011!!

We (because I did it) are completely packed, we could leave tomorrow :rotfl2: although the kids would not be happy if we did since it is Christmas Eve!

That's awesome. We would be, but I don't want to pack my 8 or 9 best outfits a month in advance. I like them too much to be away from them for a month.

I am definitely more excited for Disney than Christmas... all i talk about is the trip...lol... and yes alot of our gifts are for the trip!

I can't wait for Christmas to be over, so I can dig out the suitcase and start packing! :thumbsup2

Same here!!! But I also just booked a cruise on the Dream this summer for our anniversary trip so I can't stop thinking about that!!:confused3

I haven't even started packing anything yet!!:scared1: That is so not like me. I guess because it's just DH and me going I don't have to worry about packing food and stuff for everyone. After I get through Christmas I will pack and hopefully the weather is nicer than last year. It was freezing!

I haven't started yet either. :upsidedow I've just been planning it and picking up a few items here and there. :cool1: I'll start packing after Christmas, too. Then throw the stuff we are currently using in the last couple of days. :thumbsup2

:banana: We only have 8 more days until we are in WDW!!!! We have already put away our Christmas stuff and gotten the suit cases out so I can start getting everything together!!!

We are all so excited!!!:cool1::cool1::banana::banana:

I just dyed my hair because Mickey doesn't want to see my roots in two weeks when we get there!!:rolleyes1

We check in on Jan 22nd and it is my hubby & I's anniversary trip. We did not buy any Christmas gifts for each other because we are going to spoil each other in Disney. We are so excited. We (because I did it) are completely packed, we could leave tomorrow :rotfl2: although the kids would not be happy if we did since it is Christmas Eve!

We are checking in on the 22nd as well for an anniversary trip. How many years for you two? We will be married 24 years on the 24th :lovestruc

Hi everyone!

I'm running my first ever 5k race in Disney and I'm so excited!
This will be my 5th trip to Disney since I was 5 and I'm so excited to go back again. I will be there for three days and a day at HARRY POTTER!!! :wizard:

I was wondering if anyone knows what crowds/weather will be like?
I've never been in the winter before, we usually go in the fall or spring and happen to be there when it seems no one is there so that's really excting but will it be busier since its the marathon weekend?
Honestly, weather isn't a big deal for me. I'm coming from frigid upstate NY and plan on wearing shorts/skirt/sundresses and flipflops no matter what. :)

Anniversary trip for us as well - checking in on the 20th and it'll be 23 years on the 27th! ;)

kraziekatie,
Last year during marathon weekend it was FREEZING!! It never warmed up until the last day of our trip and we could finally wear shorts. I haven't even started packing yet because I'm waiting for the forecast. Just look at the weather and wear layers. I know us tough nyers can handle the cold but it's different when it's WDW. Riding BTMR is alot better if you are dressed for it so you can put your hands up and not worry about the wind blowing down your sleeves if it's cold! Hopefully the weather is nice for you but I'm just saying to throw in some warm clothes and a pair of those stretchy gloves.

The crowd wasn't too bad last year. I think the weather kept the locals away but not those Brazilian tour groups! When you see a colored flag and teenagers with matching jackets, go the opposite way!!!:scared1:

Have a great trip and good luck with the 5K! I ran my first 5k this summer and loved it!:woohoo:

We're rolling out two weeks from today. W00t!!

So tonight after all the festivities died down at my parents' house, we all got into a slight spat about our Disney trip. It was pretty hilarious. Suffice to say SOME family members are more organized than others. For example, my brother-in-law was asking me what days he's going to be there. And my husband and son and I aren't even traveling with them. So then my mom was flipping her lid because apparently my sister didn't book the Magical Express for her and her daughter, and brother-in-law hasn't even decided if they're going to rent a car or what. I was all, "You do realize this is actually happening in TWO WEEKS, right?" And he looked all surprised. I laughed, but my mom looked like she wanted to beat him over the head with the nearest available stick.

We surprised our boys today (12 & 9). It was a less than ideal situation. They were so confused and shocked that they had virtually no reaction, lol. Before he went to bed ds12 came in and apologized for not acting surprised. He said he just didn't know what to think and couldn't comprehend that we were going back 'so soon' (me and the boys went 4 years ago) and he was more surprised that dh is going this time.

He said that they (him and his brother), just didn't have a clue and were caught off guard.

We did clues, and tshirts, etc, i was so psyched, and then was bummed. I feel bad (now) about my reaction at their lack of reaction, since they are kids, were on very little sleep and had were dumbfounded. I have the video and i try not to think about how it turned out and more on what it turned out to be, about 30 mins later, once is sunk in.

We are all really excited now and can not wait to go.:cool1:

Justmama, we surprised my two boys on Christmas morning too and they were in shock as well - but it only took them about 15 minutes for it to sink in and then they freaked out. They couldn't believe we are going back so soon, either, since we've been telling them that we aren't going for at least a couple of years (we were just there in February 2010). Today, they are even more excited! We watched the planning video this morning and they are gabbing away about all of the stuff they want to do!

Don't worry, it will all work out! Have a great trip!

35 more days for us - I CAN'T WAIT!!! :cool1:

My dd7's face when she realized their gift was a trip to Disney World from Grandma and Grandpa. Our youngest dd3 couldn't have cared less. She was just interested in playing with her new Tinkerbell doll.

We are going in 2 weeks, I'm running in my first half marathon. I'm nervous for it and excited for it. So up until Christmas I just foused on that holiday, now, all that is left is training and then we leave. My hubby is very excited (he's not running) but I feel like I need to review packing lists for the race and vacation right now to calm my nerves. And the Christmas decorations, those have to come down - too muc to think about!

20 minutes left till I can say 18 days left!!! I'm so excited, I can't wait! Everyday it snows here, I just look at the Orlando forecast! I've started "packing", more like setting things aside in a pile. Planning to put Christmas decorations away next weekend and bring down the suitcases from the attic. Then the real packing begins!!! The following weekend we have plans to go pick up our new glasses and contacts and do a Sam's run for snacks in the room and on the road.

Almost had a heart attack tonight when I thought I had lost a $400 gift card to Disney :scared1:! It was the one I had bought to pay for the grand gathering we were doing, but then found out it was booked. So now it is being used for our character breakfast (16 people at Cape May). Ended up that I had moved it and didn't remember. It is now locked up securely in our lockbox (the entire lockbox contains everything Disney, so it is sure to make it on our trip!)
