January 2010. . . Anyone else going???

Thanks for updating the list!

So, I have been researching The Boardwalk Inn - in case by the wild chance that some amazing deal comes out in January. Has anyone ever done Boardwalk?
I've never stayed but a friend of mine has the Boardwalk as her DVC home resort and LOVES it! I'd love to stay there someday.

We'll be going in January as well. Exact dates TBD, but end of the month. Resort is CBR (we'll see if we change our mind before then!).

We're going in January 2010!!

Our dates are January 22nd-January 29th

If we get a great code (please Disney Gods!) we'll be at WL.

If not, we'll be at a mod... but hopefully we'll be at WL! :goodvibes

Welcome :welcome: We'll add you to the list :thumbsup2

I'm crossing my fingers for a great discount too! pixiedust:

Add me to the list: Heading down Jan 9-16 currently at CBR. We may upgrade to deluxe depending on what deals come out. Gonna try to dodge the marathon and MLK crowds.

Okay, I've never stayed at Boardwalk, but if money were not an option, it would be my #1 choice! Unfortunately, I have to be very budget-conscious this trip, but in the future, I will definitely stay at Boardwalk/ :goodvibes

Put my dates down as Jan 2nd- Jan 6th, thanks!

We've got all the new Snowbirds added to the list on page 24! :thumbsup2

Does anyone have the Passporter and if so do you like it? I'm thinking of checking it out at a bookstore before buying it but was wondering if it's good or not.

I'll be there for the Goofy Challenge the weekend of the 9th of January. Hopefully it will be really cold!!!!:tigger:

I'm new to this board - but we are going January 6 through 13! Not for sure who 'WE' is going to be yet. My 19-year-old daughter will be on break from her first semester in college - so she and I for sure. I have a two-bedroom villa booked at WL. We haven't stayed there since she was 10! But I remember loving it - so will try it again. We are Boardwalk and Beach Club DVC'ers and have stayed there for the past 11 trips - so am really looking forward to the WL.

Plans so far are for rest and relaxation. I want to rent a car and vist more of the resorts, play some miniature golf, and do some biking on the trail over to Ft. Wilderness - I remember doing that when we stayed at WL in '98 and it was great fun!

Hope to keep in touch with all of you! I love the PLANNING part of Disney!

We stay at the Boardwalk all the time. I think it hard to beat as far as location - walking distance to DH and Epcot! The pool is awesome and we love the Boardwalk Pizza window! It is our "home resort" so if you get the chance to stay there - DO IT!

Hey Kim! :goodvibes Kim here! :rotfl: sorry couldn't resist! :flower3:

I have the passporter and I would definitely give it a :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 !!!!! I LOVE IT!!! There are AWESOME maps, pockets for all your info and stickers and all kinds of fun stuff! Not to mention all the great info they have in it too! There are also pages for each day of your vacation to record the details of your day and everything that you did! I highly recommend it! Definitely worth the $20~ I paid for it! I actually prefer the maps in this book to the ones in the Unofficial Guide. The maps in my passporter have actual walking times between attractions! VERY COOL!!!

Hey Snowbirds!! I am going back to WDW :cool1: Jan 8-11. I am going to run the marathon :scared1: I can't believe I'm doing this :lmao:

I can't wait to plan with you all again this year!!!

:lmao: You're too funny! Thanks for the info on the Passporter. I wanted one last trip but never did get one. I think I'll treat myself this time around! Perhaps a trip to Barnes N Noble is in my future!

We loved the Boardwalk :lovestruc We stayed there last January and it was great! We walked to EPCOT and DHS, that part was so nice especially walking to EPCOT because I love to eat there!;) We stayed on the Villa side and we had a view of the village green and part of the boardwalk. I would stay there again in a heatbeat, but there are so many great resorts to try out!

I bought it last year (and the cruise one too) and LOVE it!! I think it's better than the UG and I didn't even use the pockets and stuff in the back! I pass it around to friends ( the UG too) when they are planning a trip. WAY GOOD INVESTMENT!

I've been so anxious to find out Jan pricing and when I called last month a CM told me July so I've been checking every day! Well, I finally called today and another CM told me not until Sept but I could start checking late August!

So does anyone know the offical time for when the pricing comes out and when we can book a package?

Oh! Oh! just found this thread.. Us too!

I think the week of January 4th.. wanted to go on the 13th because that is when my partners B-day is.. but she teaches College and we have to go during her break.

:dance3:

It is historically released the first weekend in August! There are rumors flying around right now of a ticket price increase that will happen on August 2nd! I suppose resort rates will be released then too! :goodvibes

Anyone else finding it hard to plan a budget for their trip? I wish I knew whether or not a good package discount will be released or at least what tickets will cost. It's going to be a tight squeeze this trip moneywise but I'm going to make it happen. I just hate not knowing how much it's going to cost me.

We've booked our flight! January 22nd-January 29th, 2010!! :cool1:

I'm just hoping and praying for a great discount...

ie: 4/3!!! Free Dining!!! 40% off!!! :rolleyes1
