Happy Sunday Snowbirds!!!!

I wrapped all my gifts this weekend and made shirts for my parents this morning from the grandkids for Christmas... They turned out cuter than I hoped! I bet my mom cries when she opens it! They are so excited for this trip!

All that I have left to do before Christmas is bake some cookies for Santa! Oh and I'm getting my suitcases out this week too! I'm really getting excited now for some reason!

OMG they are so adorable. You could sell them on here. I would buy one for sure. I love them.

We are going to be there for NYE and my DS birthday.
Too funny I never even noticed it. It has been like that since my ticker and eveything got messed up and I tried to fix it. I have to get a new one, because we all know I dont want to be parting from the mouse.

Oh HOORAY!

I finally got motivated to bake. I decided I wanted to make Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip cookies and chocolate chip cookies with mint m&ms instead of chocolate chips. Well, I realized I only had enough brown sugar for one batch of cookies. DH chose the Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip ones.

I didn't have enough oats.

So I made the mint m&m cookies and brownies with York peppermint baking chips... which used up the last of my vanilla extract.

Thus, I'll go to the store soon and buy flour, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and quick cook oats. It's a wonder I was able to make ANYTHING!

I have a favor to ask all the Snowbirds that are going in the beginning of the month. Could you please ask if there is a Bounce Back Offer and report back here on what is offered.

My in-laws were all to come down with us for this trip but one by one they all could not come down due to other obligations. Thus they are now planning a trip later in the year, preferably late August or early September. Due to us promising our children this trip and it was the best time we can go we still went with January. We will try to see if we can swing another trip down to Disney if there is an excellent bounce back offer.

I can't believe it...it's not even 830 and both kids are ASLEEP...that NEVER happens in my house-EVER!! I went out to get stocking stuffers and some other odds and ends, and when I came back Andy had the kids bathed and they'd been jumping around the living room to daddy's head banging music (or 'wok-n-woll' as Keaton calls it)! Nice and tired. So we had a simple dinner of grilled cheese and tomato soup, and I'm heading downstairs to finish wrapping since they're sleeping. WOW!! I just can't believe how peaceful it is in my house!

I have to clean too! The problem is the clutter. So tonight I'm going to declutter and then clean a bit each day and hope it stays clean until Thursday! Where do you live Trixie? We had our blizzard yesterday and it stopped snowing by this a.m., but WINDY as all get out! Still cold, right now my computer is telling me it's 8 degrees, but the windchill must be below zero.

We're in Michigan, right along Lake Michigan. So on top of the normal stuff, we get lake effect snow, too! It's still nasty here. DH came in from running a few necessary errands (like getting supplies to make Reindeer Noses) and he said we need to move somewhere warm!

Isn't that so great!! My kids were pretty hyped up tonight after celebrating with the in-laws and getting some presents, so it was hard to get them to bed, but they made it. Now DH and I are so tired, and it's not even 9! I'm ready for bed. Hope you all have a good night, and the weather lets you all go where you need to tomorrow!

Yup - Florida sounds good in the winter doesn't it? My DH delivers mail to a lot of "real" snowbirds. Many are leaving right after Christmas for FL or AZ. Someday I hope to be one of them!!!

I know what I'm doing, I just liked contemplating staying home for a moment...DH is going to give me a ride (I'm on his way to work), so I really don't have any excuse, other than I don't want to go out on the icy streets!

Reindeer noses?

Mini pretzel twists with a Hershey's Kiss on top and a red M&M plunked down when the Kisses are warm. Cute and very delicious.

Warm the pretzel and Kiss combo in the oven at 250 degrees for 4-5 minutes, then gently push the M&M down immediately. It takes a while for the Kisses to set up again.

I'll post a pic in a minute.
