Okay Trixie, maybe I missed the request - but who is that last guy?

David McCallum. He was a request, unfortunately I can't remember who asked for him. I didn't know who he was either, but he was on The Man from U.N.C.L.E. when he was younger and was on NCIS recently.

Requested eye candy:

My kind of man! I love his twinkly eyes. I'll watch anything with Mike Rowe, even if he's just talking (Deadliest Catch!). Made my day - thanks!

Their both a little aged for my taste but...

Cal is our hometown hero guy... I live just a few miles from Ripken Stadium! :cool1: I still remember the 2131 game:cloud9:

And I love Mike Rowe- he cracks me up. :lmao: My favorite episode is the one where he artificially inseminates a cow. Ewwwwwwwwwww and yet I watched! When does deadliest catch start again? I love me some Discovery Channel.
I'm about 90% sure that jeans will be on sale for Black Friday. I think that there will be an mp3 player give-away as well. That's only for the first 50-200 people in line. It depends on the size of the store I guess. Speaking of Black Friday...I don't have to work!!! I'm amazed! Normally, I'm available 9am-2:30pm, but on Black Friday, I said I could work noon-4pm. We did just hire a whole bunch of seasonal help, so I just get to shop that day! Woo hoo!
Lucky you not having to work! We need pants/jeans for WDW so if they are on sale I may have to head out on the dreaded day.
Someone requested Bond, but didn't specify which one, so I picked my top three. :thumbsup2

popcorn:: hello ladies.

well today we sat and planned the parks hours, show times, parade times etc to make sure any changes to disney hours matched our plans.

Good news we're at tusker house for the time period to get the passes/ reserved seating for nemo. We missed this last time, waited and then cut off space was filled and it was the last show of the day :(

Our arrival day seems planned out, not fine fine details, but we talked about most important rides and food must haves popcorn::

Philharmagic :3dglasses will be a for sure as it closes the following day.

looking forward to a Crystal Palace dinner pooh: and Wishes:tink: to start day one at Disney.

I've yet to sit and do the detailed planning. I think I'll wait until they are done changing around the park times. Congrats on getting Nemo seats! You're so lucky you get to see Philharmagic. It's closed my entire visit! :sad2:

Well, took a break from the dis since DH wasn't sold on the trip. Since the 4/3 deal came out he's back on board!!

We are now arriving on 1/2 (need a place to stay this night), staying at the Renaissance Inn at SeaWorld for 1/3 and arriving at AsSports 1/4-1/11. We had originally planned to stay at WL, but we are traveling with a family of 5 and two rooms at WL was a bit more than they wanted to spend. I am completely happy with Sports (we've stayed at Movies and Pop before).

We decided to go with the regular dining plan. I am sure glad I booked all our ADRs just in case 180 days out!:cheer2:

**side note: My friend just had her picture taken with Mike Rowe at a work conference. She's smitten.**

Their both a little aged for my taste but...

I like the first one the best! Yum!

Being aged...yeah, :lmao: . I saw An Officer and a Gentleman for the first time a few weeks ago with a young Richard Gere. I must say that I think he has matured very well!

As for the Bond people, I've only known a Pierce, he's also yummy!;)

Evenin' friends!! Well, so much to respond too!!!! Shelly--love the picture, I have Snow White Discovers the Cottage as my backdrop/wallpaper on my computer. I loooove the Disney Kincaide stuff!!!

Wendy--congrats on your surgery- my advice-make sure your gifts are ready and wrapped, decorate your tree minimally (this weekend!) put out whatever is a must/tradition and just scale back! Your family is going to be so happy for you, the decor isn't going to matter. Just remember-the more you put out, the more you will have to box up later!!!! And take care of yourself, don't start stressing! Be Happy-y
ou get a Christmas gift early!!

Missy? I think...love your daughters dresses- and they are such cutie-pies!!:cutie:

Trixie--love, Rowe, Ripkin, and Sean Connery. He's still a hunk I think!! And that accent.....WOW!!!I think he's one of the sexiest men that ever lived!!

Just wanted to say I got my Uggs today!! aaannnnd Hubby loved em'!! :rolleyes1 I was a little worried about that!! Ha!! Especially when he saw the $$$$. But, we're good--he thought they were cute enough for the $$$-or he thought I was cute enough in them:love:

I know I left someone out--I'll have to post again when I remember who!! I am beat-it's 11:15 here-Mike put the tree up for me,finally--we've been trying to get it done since Saturday. So, I can decorate it tomorrow:santa:

OH, I know -- the snow!! Man ya'll are getting covered! It's been pretty cold here for Nov. We didn't get out of the 60s I don't think, but that wind was whipping!!!! It's been in the 30s for the last 2 hours here, I wonder if we are gonna freeze tonight? I can't imagine what ya'll go through every winter:sad2: Maybe you will all get beautiful white Christmases and it'll be over by Easter!!! :wizard: Wishful thinking!!!Okay, talk to ya'll between now and Monday! Have blessed weekends!!

Happy weekend everybody! I have been hooked on the creative DISign thread...so much to make so little time :lmao:

As for snow..yep we got it too and we just got back from our nice warm vacation last week so it kind of makes it seem even colder :cold: Oh well this weekend I have decided to TRY and catch up on my scrapbooking I am only a year behind :scared1:

I hope everybody has a nice warm weekend :goodvibes

Wendy,
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I do wish you all the best.

Universe of Energy Ride-
I have been to Disney World twice and missed that ride both times. My DH saw the original and not a huge Ellen fan and he said it was very boring and not to bother. I had been planning to see it this time, as each their own opinion on what to see, and thought DS would like the dinosaurs in it. Oh well, it will be on my to do list for next time. It looks like only Mission Space and Test Track are left on that side of Epcot.

I wish they would finalize all the hours, rehabs and dining. When I made my ADRs in August for Yak and Yeti I was told by the CM it is on the dining plan for my reserved time. Who knows if it will be by the looks of it? I have booked off the last week of December and the children and I will be making all the final plans then as hopefully they will have decided on what they are doing and not change it again for our times.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

Remmy

Good early morning, Snowbirds. Having some trouble sleeping so I thought I would come catch up on some Dis.

Does it make me weird that I myself would prefer a Pirate character dinner than a princess one...I am going to one princess because I want the pictures and what not...but seriously..dining with Capt Jack and a reasonable look-alike of Will Turner (I have high standards when it comes to Orlando) would be so cool!!!
I would much rather go to a pirate meal than a princess meal. I guess that's what happens when you're a mama of a boy.

Awe! I could hug you! It's so nice to meet someone with the same name. Does she ever get tired of explaining what it means? I know I do!
Every time I see your name I think of Punky Brewster! LOL I think Soleil is a beautiful name!

So no one is up to talk to me I will have a conversation with myself...

Me....Good morning Wendy... how are things...

Me also....Great... how are things with you?

Me again....How is the weather?

Still me.... We are expecting a lot of snow today...

Okay... I am boring... I don't like talking to myself... I guess I will go wake up DS so he can get ready for school.... bye
OMG!! This is so funny at 3 am!! LOL I hope I didn't wake my family up!

Just checked touringplans.com :

"The Universe of Energy at Epcot will be closed for refurbishment January 5 - March 22, 2009."

Bummer!!! I always enjoyed the UofE and I haven't seen the Ellen version yet. I know that my DD would have enjoyed the dinosaurs.
DS is going to be so sad about this one. He loves UofE! He was 22 months old at the time of his first trip and he sat and watched the ENTIRE 45 minutes.

Some major stress was put on me today. I am having gastric bypass surgery. It was all set for February 09... well the doctors office called and they want to move it to December 3.... 12 days!!!!!!!!
Good Luck!! I hope it all goes well for you. I had laproscopic surgery done last year. The recovery from that wasn't so bad. Of course, it wasn't gastric bypass. It was on my reproductive organs . . . I hope your recovery is speedy!!

Hello all!
I just found this thread and it's great reading about all the other people that go to WDW during January. We have been going in January for years and love it! This will be our first time as DVC members and we are bringing some very good friends of ours with us. The day we arrive will be 30 years to the day since they have been there and we can't wait to see the expression on their faces.

Morning Snowbirds! I've been perusing the thread ever since we were on 243 of PART III!! You are a chatty bunch!!! Haven't had much time this last week to post anything, but I've enjoyed reading (and the eye candy...never been a Daniel Craig fan, but he looks pretty yummy in that pic)! Hubby was looking over my shoulder and was :rotfl: . Said he thought this was a nice, clean cut Disney site, what's with the eye candy! He thinks we're dorks but he definately appreciates all the help and info!

I am SO excited about Black Friday. I love getting to Walmart about 5:05 after the crazies have grabbed what they want and are already checking out, then I casually walk around and get what I want. I'm a little bummed because this year hubby has to work so I have to be back home by 6:30am. Not alot of shopping time! I'll grab the kids and go out later that morning to get some deals on gifts for others!

Meghan-I worked retail for several years at Christmas time. I still have nightmares about folding the "wall-o-sweaters" at Express!

Good Morning Snowbirds!!

First of all...Shelly I love that picture Simply AMAZING!!

Secondly...I got all my paper cut out for my Christmas cards and I'm so excited. I'm thinking of writing our Christmas letter this afternoon after play practice...yay!!

Tonight is baked potato soup night...yummy..right now we're going to get ready and go eat at IHOP..well I'll talk to you guys later!!! Have a great Saturday!

Thanks to everyone for your PM's and thoughts..... I am still really anxious about this whole thing... but I know it is for the best.... just to be able to get off all the medications will be great!!! So last night I got a ton of stuff done....
