Where will you see Wicked? We are finally going to see in on Broadway Nov 15th-thanks to my Dad! My DD9 has been into Wicked since age 6 when she performed Loathing in a drama workshop. We are both so into the music. For Good makes me cry every time, especially since we moved from Reno to Charlotte this summer. Right before we left, another class in my daughter's recital did a ballet routine to For Good with two amazing singing sisters performing the song. We actually went to her final recital the day we flew out, so I was really overcome. We'll have to compare notes afterwards!

It's coming to Minneapolis for about a month. We are season ticket holders to the Hennepin Theatre Series which brings Broadway shows to Mpls. We get to see 6 shows over the next year. One of them is while we're at WDW, but it's the one we wanted to see least, so we're giving those away. Before we were season ticket holders, we'd go see all the Broadway shows that came through. We saw The Lion King when it first started here before it went to Broadway. SO COOL! I wish they'd bring Mary Poppins and Little Mermaid next! Or I'd love to go to NYC too.

Do you guys realize that in 3 days time we have filled up 10% of this post already that means if we keep up this rate of talking we will need a new post in 27 days...that is mindblowing!!! KEEP IT UP Snowbirds!! I think we can beat this useless attempt at math by myself LOL!!!

The Kitchen Aid Mixer makes everything great! I LOVE mine. I have the 600 watt professional model. Mine is white. What's yours? I've heard the flip up model is easier than the bowl lifting kind, which mine is.

I love the mixing part of baking, but hate the cookie dropping. Takes forever.

DITTO!! Mine is about 9 years old and it's the only way I will bake!!

I really hope that your doctor has some better news for you! Just know that you are cared for here and there are many people saying many prayers for you! Welcome to all the new Snowbirds!! It's the best thread around!! We have all become friends and it's so fun and helpful!

Back on the subject of Halloween candy: we started giving out full size last year. I think it may actually be cheaper because we never paid attention to how many little candies we gave each kid. Now we have a neighborhood that is FULL of children and last year we went through about 100 bars. I think at the end I had to raid my kids' trick or treat candy before I gave up and shut off the light!! No, I didn't take their favorites, I let them pick out what they didn't like and took that!

And as for Wicked - I've heard some of the songs and plan to buy the soundtrack! I can't wait - that's why I'm going twice!

Although this year he wants a GPS and is shopping for it each week. I told him if he finds one he wants that's super cheap on Friday, he can go stand in line for it and I'll wrap it up!

Same here! I feel a little bad making him go buy his own gift, but at least that way he'll get what he wants. Plus, he likes the Black Friday shopping...he goes while I stay home with the kids.

I have a white one, too! I always have grand plans for baking, but usually end up just doing a few things at the last minute.

I'm frustrated and beside myself here because she wasn't into listening AT ALL.

Oh, Sarah, I'm so sorry. How very frustrating to not be listened to! I know you just want to get it over with, but would it be possible to get a second opinion from another surgeon? Or at least re-engage with this one to try to get your feelings heard? Sending best wishes and positive thoughts your way.

The cold weather is wonderful! Since we are not halloween people, I have started putting out a few christmas touches around the apartment today....dare I get out the tree and begin to decorate it? I would do anything to get my Jan trip here faster!

I didn't quote all the stuff you wrote, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry for how your day went. Of course, none of us know how you're feeling, but I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we wish you didn't have to go through this! We're here for you.

I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time! I will continue to pray that this will all work out to YOUR satisfaction and that you will get the relief you need soon.

I'm also sorry about the situation with your DH!!

I did put in a call to my regular female doctor. Of course, she doesn't work Mondays, but that's okay. What's another day? I'm hoping that she'll listen and have some advice for me. She's not a surgeon but she's a trained medical professional. Perhaps she'll make me understand why the surgeon chose the path she did (well, I kind of understand - start with the small fixes and see if that works), including why the surgeon won't do what the doctor wants! She might also agree with me and not the surgeon and then I can start the referral process and start over again. I don't want to do that if I don't have to, but surgery is surgery and this is the only (incredibly poorly built) body that I've got and I need to do what's right for me!
