Has everyone purchased all their Halloween treats???? I have not bought a thing yet..... I guess I should get out to the grocery store soon.....

Our school always sells chips as a fundraiser in the fall so .....We have Chips! :) I try not to buy candy too soon before Halloween so I don't end up eating it all! :rolleyes1 Because of the chips I usually only buy 1 or 2 bags of candy. We don't usually get many kids! 30 or 40 at the most. Our house is set far back from the street and we have a long driveway so I think it deters the kids from coming! Oh well, more for me! :rotfl:

I thought I signed on Ions ago but I guess not.
Going Jan 21-26 POP

You can tell it is hunting season around here... I live in a small country subdivision - we are surrounded by woods... and the gun shots are everywhere.... both my boys hunt... yesterday they came back in the house and they smelled awful....I asked them if they had been rolling around in dirt...my DS was so excited.... he then pulls this little disc thing off his hat and puts it under my nose.... yuk!!! Dirt smell.... they acutally try to smell like dirt.... it was awful..... :lmao:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I'm so glad I have girls... :)

I can't let myself get excited for Christmas yet, in November it'll start!!!!
Although I do a TON of baking with my grandmother and I'm really looking forward to it! We make at least one batch of something a day from Thanksgiving on.
I'm starting to look for cute home make gifts to give to people, just something small for the extended friends and family, so if anyone has any cute ideas I would love to hear them! Budget is the name of this year's Christmas game!
I too will be joining the mass of shoppers on Black Friday! Since I'm working the Thanksgiving Day Parade that means 2 days of waking up at 3am, some holiday weekend huh?

I totally missed the Wicked discussion that was going on, but I too love that show! I think I've seen it 5 times now! You're going to love it! If you have some extra time in NY and you're a student you should try to get tickets to Little Mermaid! I loved that show even more than Wicked and you get $25 tickets with a student id!

I always bake mini loafs for people. Last year I made "lazy day" type gift baskets. Got the baskets from somewhere, put some mini loafs in, a magazine that I thought they would like and some hot cocoa or coffee packets. Can't remember what else...maybe a few pieces of fruit. If it was for a family, I just added more mags and stuff.

I thought about figuring out how to make a good granola and put it in a jar for this year. I also did a homemade hot cocoa mix and put it in jars for people one year. That one didn't turn out as well...if you have a good recipe though, it would be really nice.

Rats! gotta go! My little (17mos) Daycare girl has decided she is NOT going to nap today so I have to say so long for now! Try to check back after DD's swimming lessons tonite! :)

Hairspray...LUCKY YOU!!! Love the excitement..Let's see I get there 4 days before you..so I'm at 81 DAYS!!! YAY!!

No Halloween treats here :). Our apartment complex has no children in it :(

I'm not doing Halloween either at my house this year!! We have Mission Conference at Church this week and Friday night I'm turning off the lights and just going to relax with my hubby..LOL!! I'm doing the Halloween celebration at work that day so I'm going to be exhausted!

You'll be in my prayers this morning and I'm hoping for the best! I'm sorry you have to go alone.:flower3: But all of the Snowbirds will be there supporting you in spirit!

To Sarbah77:
I am here to wish you the best with your surgeon. You will be in my thoughts and prayers today

Remmy

Sarah.... hope things go well at the surgeons
weekend.....

Well, I'm back from the surgeon and I've stopped crying. Go figure. The positive is that she thinks the minor surgery is okay.

THe downside is that half of what needs to be removed is buried in the muscle and she can't take it out via minor surgery. She's hoping that my problems will go away with the half she can take out and maybe the other half will fall out on its own. If it doesn't, then, back to her and the more major surgery.

I'm frustrated and beside myself here because she wasn't into listening AT ALL. She doesn't want to impact my ability to give birth unless she "has to" and she's never asked about my plans. I've been living a personal hell since July with what's been going on. I have to adjust my plans, make sure I have extra clothes just to leave the house. 3 advil every 4 hours doesn't kill the pain. I'm anemic and all taht goes with it. I don't WANT to "wait and see" - if removing it all means a major surgery, DO THE MAJOR SURGERY. My workplace gives us six MONTHS of long term sick time for surgery at full pay. I can afford it. I can't afford to be sick 2-3 weeks a month and energy-less the other week or so.

I think I'm going to call my regular doctor and see what she says. The surgeon also doesn't "see a need" for a specific thing that the doctor asked her to do, too.

And I don't want to have to wait any longer to get this taken care of. I'm at the end of my rope, physically and emotionally.

DH is home from jury duty, but he was still wrong. He's on call EVERY night through November 7th. Even though we leave town 11/6. If he has to report on the 7th, they'll "try" to make accomodations for him... and vacation is enough to get him excused from some trials. But he thinks it's likely he'll have to go back on Monday next week.

I need to have a good cry, I think.

Yep, this time I felt it needed to change it to match my Halloween costume...can you guess what it is? A tiger! Grrrrr. ;)

I read that as a Tigger! You're going as a Tigger?! ;)

I read that as a Tigger! You're going as a Tigger?! ;)

Nope, just a generic tiger!

I didn't quote all the stuff you wrote, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry for how your day went. Of course, none of us know how you're feeling, but I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we wish you didn't have to go through this! We're here for you. :grouphug:

 I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time! I will continue to pray that this will all work out to YOUR satisfaction and that you will get the relief you need soon.

I'm also sorry about the situation with your DH!!

Just know there are a lot of us thinking about you and sending you warm thoughts and prayers!!
