Hey Snowbirds! :goodvibes I haven't been around much this evening as I had an unexpected trip to the ER tonite! It seems I have a nasty bladder infection! Alas, I seem to get one at this time every year! :confused3 Wassup with that? Anyways, I want to say hi to all the NEW SNOWBIRDS! :cool1: Welcome to our perpetual party! ;) This is a really fun place to hang out! Anyways, I am off to bed now!

JENJOLT - Don't drink too much Dr. Pepper tonite eh? Try to get some sleep! :)

Feel better sweetie..and sure I won't drink any more Dr. Pepper tonight LOL!!!:rolleyes1 I'll just finish the one I have open I promise LOL

OMGoodness, Sharadoc!!
That is a 'tad' bit too organized for me!:rotfl:
So just out of curiousity, what do you do with the binder? Do you take it to every park every day or just study on the flight?

I completely admire you for being that ambitious! I say I'm going to be organized, but my version of organized is to staple all my scrap pieces of paper with my confirmations numbers together.

Man now I feel lazy!:flower3:

Hello snowbirds... I am back from the doctors and it appears I am not crazy after all..... so it is looking good for the surgery.... but right now I am heading up to my DD college to bring her some sweaters (only an hour drive)... can't wait to see her... I miss her soooooooooo much!!!.. Have a great evening.....

I'm happy that you're not too crazy for surgery  but I do hope this does take care of those health problems -- especially before January!

sharadoc - You sure are organized! I'm sure that by the time I leave, I will have something close to resembling that. Right now, I have some loose stuff in a folder, my UG and my Pass Porter. Who knows how much stuff I'll gather up in 4 months! I have yet to print out anything from All Ears though. Hmm... now you've got me thinking!

Goodnight Snowbirds! I'll catch up to everyone in the morning. Just saw it's way past bedtime! :)

I LOVE that binder. Color coding makes everything better! I'm a fan of building an e-book. I copy or scan everything and keep it on one file.
2 years ago I organized my menus, DDP charts, maps, touring plans, ADR numbers etc into a book format and then brought it to staples and had them bind them into little books.
They were so much fun, I included all sorts of games, just about one section for every ride, scavenger hunts, trivia sections....this way we had lots of fun things to do while waiting. It was a blast, most of the time we had other people in line playing with us.
I also wrote a brief history section, which I want to research better and expand on this trip.
So the front half was a history section, then we had games, and then all the usefull touring info, and it was customized to our trip!

The 3 months I spent working on that sure made the time fly!

Sharadoc!! I loved it!! I am so inspired I went and bought all my supplies and I'm puttin together the greatest binder ever!! Thankfully I'm driving down so the binder is coming with me WOOT!

I am completely at your disposal, Oh Organizer Goddess.

*now looking for all my stapled-together pieces of paper and hoping that my dog didn't chew them up*

Hail to the co-Goddess Pinkdiamond, sharer of infinite organizational artistry!

I'm moving to another thread - y'all are too much for me! This is the major leagues here, folks! :)

All of you Dr Pepper types remind me of a birthday party a bunch of us girlfriends gave for two other girlfriends who are big fans of the DP. Hmmmm....what did we do -- all of our food was made with DP - for instance, I baked a ham with a DP glaze, someone else baked a cake with DP in it...all sorts of great things.

We decorated with DP posters, played DP trivia and gave each of the b-day girlies a DP can mounted in a shadow box! I can't remember all we did but it was pretty fun. Didn't even know about DP chapstick..something to think about for another party!

I'm not a DP fan myself [I go for the diet DP] but as one snowbird to many others, I offer up a toast:

Good morning!

I am so loving everyone's picture!!!!!! What a cute bunch of snowbirds we are! And it is easy to see why we have so much fun -- just your pictures show lots of happiness and joy - :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:    [that is code for 'I love me some snowbird happiness and joy']

Well, to introduce you all slowly to the sad prospect of me in a photograph, I've managed to scan a pic of my only trip to DL in 1974 [and I don't even want to know how many of you didn't even have parents back then!] --

My uncle is on my left and my mom is on my right -- that was the summer my mom and I flew out to Southern CA to visit my aunt and uncle. They didn't have children at the time and, looking back, I think they absolutely spoiled me rotten! Not only did they take me to DL, they took me to Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, and Knott's Berry Farm. And, at 7 years old, I flew back to Tennessee by myself! Whoa --

Enough preliminaries - here's my pic --

okay, here's the deal -- I am trying really hard not to post during the day when I'm at work except for snippets here and there. I get so carried away by my snowbird pals that I forget that I'm at work! And I really like that whole eating thing, along with the whole sleeping-somewhere-besides-a-cardboard-box thing. Not to mention liking the paying-for-this-trip-before-planning-another thing.

Hence the major multi-posting right now. And, that jenjolt is totally trying to edge me out of the top 10 :scared1:

Now I can't remember why I posted!

Now I remember --

Laura - how is your foot?

Carrie - did you find out what happened with that lady who was hit by the SUV? How's Scot?

and, to all of you Thursday night TV fans - was Survivor/The Office/Grey's Anatomy all you wanted it to be?

About the binders, I do LOVE school-supply shopping. When I went back to school a few years ago, I still got way too excited about buying my notebooks, mechanical pencils, dividers,

Not that I really organized anything with them - but they sure were pretty!

Okay, I am out of control now....and I can't even blame caffeine.

Oh -- what's up with all the Kansas fans? Where's Distherapy? Us Memphis types need to stick together!

For background, Kansas beat Memphis in a heartbreaking NCAA basketball championship last year - it went into overtime and everything.

Now I've gotten that out of my system....

What is our QOTW? [I figure we should do a weekend question rather than a day question since the thread seems to quiet down a little then.]

Oh, I know - I think we've asked what our favorite Disney character was - have we asked what our favorite Disney movie was?

Mine? Depends on the day - but I've always had a special fondness for "Lady and the Tramp."

Last post for now -- I really do have to go to bed [should have done that a couple of hours ago]. I will, as Carrie says, see y'all on the flip side.

CELEBRATE!!!!! It's Friday!!!!!

:dance3: :rockband: :rockband: party: :jumping1: :jumping3: :jumping2: :bounce: :rainbow:

Good morning Everybody! Happy Friday! :goodvibes

QOTW~that's a toughie! I've been sitting here thinking about it for at least five minutes.

Okay...I'm going to say Cars. Or Pirates of the Caribbean.

That's my answer for now, but I reserve the right to change my mind as I wake up a bit more.
