Sharadoc!! I loved it!! I am so inspired I went and bought all my supplies and I'm puttin together the greatest binder ever!! Thankfully I'm driving down so the binder is coming with me WOOT!

Awesome - I'm so glad I could inspire you.

I guess part of this organization comes from my job. I handle printing and web projects for a large company, so I have to schedule and meet deadlines and handle a lot of paperwork. I try to be as efficient as possible!

We are driving also, that's why I have a second small binder - that's just driving info and pre-trip planning only. We're going to use the big binder when we're there, that's most of the info that I have printed out. My plan is to work with the family to plan each day's activities via that binder. I'll probably read it during the car trip, too, so I feel refreshed with all my info that I've been gathering FOREVER!

Don't think I'm ULTRA-Organized. I just tend to forget where I find things on the web, so printing them out was the best way that I could have the information that I wanted, rather than do the "where did I see that list?" and have to search through the web sites.

This is my first trip with the web as a resource, so I think I'm trying to avoid being overwhelmed by too much information. The binder is kind of my security blanket :cutie:

Anyway, thanks for the love :lovestruc I love my Snowbird peeps too :cool1:

Holy smokes.... you guys are really moving along.... :surfweb:

Sharadocs....... WOW... you are truly the queen of organization:worship: ...I can only aspire to be half as organized as you.... I am thinking a trip to Staples is in my future:car:

QOTW... Mary Poppins.... who happens to also be my fav character.... but I also love Pirates of the Carribeanpirate:

Today I must get to some packing... I am chaperoning a band trip this weekend .... I will try to get online while away just so I can keep up with all you crazy ladies....

Has anyone on this board organized a photo share for the time we are there? I did this last April when we went and it worked out great....I would be willing to organize one if peps want to get involved....

jenjolt.... my DS thinks you are the best.... he was reading some posts last night while we were watching Grey's Antamoy.... he wants to know if you have any interest in moving to Central New York;) he says the science teachers here are boring...

welcome to the new folks....:yay:

I am under four months toady:banana:

Okay, I took some pics of my binders tonight. I hope this conveys what they're all about.

I have more if you want :rotfl:

Those are awesome. I aspire to be just like you one day...

I LOVE that binder. Color coding makes everything better! I'm a fan of building an e-book. I copy or scan everything and keep it on one file.
2 years ago I organized my menus, DDP charts, maps, touring plans, ADR numbers etc into a book format and then brought it to staples and had them bind them into little books.
They were so much fun, I included all sorts of games, just about one section for every ride, scavenger hunts, trivia sections....this way we had lots of fun things to do while waiting. It was a blast, most of the time we had other people in line playing with us.
I also wrote a brief history section, which I want to research better and expand on this trip.
So the front half was a history section, then we had games, and then all the usefull touring info, and it was customized to our trip!

The 3 months I spent working on that sure made the time fly!

How much is it to get little books made? That just sounds like so much fun.

What a story! I think I would have had some sort of coronary something or other before the night was finished!

Wasn't it weird that the whole city completely stopped that night? Actually that whole weekend - the one thing we all agree on is Tiger basketball.

And, for you Jaybirds fans -- it's the Tigers all the way this year!!! [probably not, but we can dream can't we?]

It's the JayHAWKS... goodness get it right. Just kidding... I didn't even watch the game. I'm not even a K-State fan, and that's the school I go to...if I got caught defending KU I might just get flogged, maybe not though...

QOTD: I have a really hard time picking favorites, but Lilo & Stitch comes to mind. We'll leave it at that until I've thought it through more.

  YAY for being under 4 months how exciting!! Ahhh tell your DS (who I would love to have as a student LOL any chance you want to move to the panhandle of Florida) I said hello and thanks! My hubby and I are nomads so you never know where we might end up next!! And YAY for watching Grey's Anatomy!! I haven't gotten to watch it yet, but it is on my DVR and I will be watching it tonight YAY!!

I actually made $200 wearing my KU Jayhawk shirt to the KU vs Kstate game and sitting in the KSU student section..it was the funnest day of my life. I got razzed, yelled at, but at the end everyone took it in good humor and we just had a great time!!! KU lost of course, that was back in the days when it was a miracle for the Jayhawks to win 1 football game let alone beat K-State!!

I would have loved nothing more to be a KSU alumni and park in the parking lot with my KU car gear if I wasn't afraid of my car being destroyed LOL But I met my hubby and we got stationed in Alaska so I graduated a Seawolf..but my love for Jayhawks lives on!!

Passing period over..time for another water lab..today in my class we try to make string float and discuss what soap does to surface tension.

QOTW - Old one was Peter Pan (although I did always like the Mary Martin version better - does it tell you how old I am? ) and Mary Poppins. Newer one has to be Finding Nemo, with Monsters Inc a close second. Love those movies. popcorn::

I guess I must be the only person in the universe who had trouble with Toy Story. My d (at about 4) got hysterical when it looked like the neighbor boy was going to destroy the toys! I thought it was too scary and inappropriate for her, just as inappropriate as some people said Bambi and Lion King wer for little ones (because of Bambi's mother's and Mufasa's deaths).

Oh, and I'm in double digits today - 99 days to go!

Hi everyone! I'm here. I had the worst morning ever today! Got stopped by a train (literally, it stopped) and was 40 minutes late to work. Then, I pull Belle out of the car and she is covered in diarrhea from her neck to the back of her knees. So I stripped her down and hosed her off right in front of the church. (Meanwhile, she is laughing and trying to run off as if this is the most fun game she's ever played.) After that I had to head back home and wash her car seat cover. AHHHH!!!!! I want to pull my hair out!:scared1:

But, I'm here..... hope everyone is having a better day than me.:confused3

There are a few Disney movies that I kept my children away from - I don't think they will every see Bambi or Dumbo, especially DD who is SO attached to Mommy that I know it would traumatize her. I also won't bring Pinocchio into the house, that movie is totally creepy in general.

In our house, faves are Fantasia, Mary Poppins, Mulan, Toy Story 1 and Tarzan. We have a lot of Disney cartoon and sing-alongs faves too. DS has always loved The Spirit of Mickey and Melody Time - both wonderfully classic cartoon compilations. Santa Clause is a fave too, sometimes even when it's not Christmas!

We also love the Sing-Alongs - both Very Merry Christmas (Hip Hop Noel!) and the Disneyland and Disney World ones. We all sing "I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street USA" whenever we see it on TV or any of the planning videos.

Sorry - WAY too long of an answer!

Mulan, how could I forget Mulan!!!! I love the song..I'll Make a Man Out of You!!! and then she climbs the wooden pole...OH...now I want to go home and watch it!!

LUNCH TIME!! WOOT!!!:dance3:

What's everybody up to today?

I just cleaned out my refrigerator. I am embarrassed to say it was pretty gross! I know, such an exciting life here!! :rotfl:

My favorite Disney movie??? That's a tough one. I like them all! Oh except for that Wall E movie this summer. I am sorry to say I thought that was the dumbest movie ever. The kids were even disappointed.

Hi, Snowbirds! I'm getting online for the first time today...and it's about time for me to put the kids to bed! I did not get any morning computer time as we had a meeting in the south, in the Negev. We had to get there by 9am. So, no sleeping in this Friday!

Our kids are off from school Fridays and Sundays. Crappy schedule.

BellaSoleil, I'm so sorry about your morning! Blech. I was just recounting all the times I've been puked on. Amazing what we can go through as mothers.

Favorite Disney movie? Hard to pick just one! Pete's Dragon is high on the list! Mary Poppins, Lady and the Tramp, Fox and the Hound (which is horribly sad!), Jungle Book, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Nemo, Toy Story, Alladin...I guess I can't pick just one!:lmao:

Hello snowbirds, I am thinking of trying the new T-Rex restaurant in january and was wondering if anyone has seen a menu or know's what the food will be like??
QOTD: My favorite disney movie is Meet the Robinsons, my sons is Peter Pan (he is really into pirates right now).
