We had chicken tonight too! They delivered it right to our room. Easier than planning for reservations and/or standing in line.

How far are you from Frankenmuth? Warren sounds so familiar for some reason. :scratchin

Hey, I'm here! Now!

Man, Michigan's fall allergies are kicking my butt right now. With the humidity the other day, I even ended up with an asthma flare-up. It was super-ironic, since I was on my way to the health clinic to pick up an (unrelated) prescription.

We fly to Disney THREE MONTHS from today. I'm not sure of the exact day count. 92 days? Wow!

Of course, my DH got called for federal jury duty. That's Detroit. We live not that close to Detroit. He has to call on the 24th to see if he has to report on the 27th. If he doesn't, he has to call on the 31st to see if he has to report on the 3rd. If not, then, the 7th for the 10th.

Of course, on the 3rd I have my pre-op appointment. We fly to MA on the 6th (return on the 9th) and then surgery on the 14th. He doesn't find it necessary to ask for a postponement!! Husbands!! And since we don't have any family out here, I don't know what I'll do if he has jury duty on the day of my surgery. But I think that's kind of borrowing trouble, you know?!

I'm just glad tomorrow is Friday. First "real" game of the Michigan hockey season! And, on Saturday, the Stanley Cup will be at the arena... debating if we want to join the crowds to see it. I've seen the twin that's at the Hockey Hall of Fame, but not the actual item! Plus DH did promise to take me shopping this weekend. :D

I know that the Buffalo Sabres haven't won the Stanley Cup, but when I was in HS, it made it's way through Buffalo. I got my picture taken with it and got to touch it and everything! Amazing!

Hi everybody! I have a question for you. I keep going back and forth...I can't decide on Garden Grill or Coral Reef for dinner one night. I really like the idea of the personalized menu but my Mom, me and my boys don't like fish. My husband and Dad do?? I'm just not sure where to eat :headache:

Which do you think would be better for our group??

Shelly, congrats on the 5000 posts! PARTY time! party: And somehow I missed your ds' b-day pictures! CUTE! And you are so pretty, BTW!:goodvibes

Peaches-
I love the pictures from Georgia Kate's birthday! How did your husband make those cupcakes? I would love to make them one day.:goodvibes

You just make the cake mix (box or homemade) and fill the cones 3/4 full and follow direction for cupcake baking. We used a piping bag to make the icing look like ice cream. They were much easier than a cake! Scot's quite talented at making b-day cakes, but it was nice that he got a break with this one. His icing is out of this world!:worship: He is the cake master!

Hope my Peeps are doing okay! I think in all the excitement of the birthday I completely missed the party for getting under 3 months! Is it too late to party now? party: party: party: :lmao:

I'm not a fish eater, either, but my hubby and son are. I've not been to Garden Grill, so I can't comment on that, but we loved Coral Reef! Their steak was WONDERFUL!!

Well, in less thatn 2 hours the Disney Celebration tour will be in front of my building!! :cool1: :cool1: I'm excited - even after hearing how it's really not a big deal. I just want one of those Mickey balloons. :lmao: Mickey and Goofy were on the local TV news this morning, so I hope that means they'll be down there too!! My son saw and was so excited! He knows we're headed back to Disney in January.

Let us know how it goes!! :yay:

OK, I just thought of question to ask those of you who have been to WDW recently. When should I expect my documents to arrive in the mail? Does Disney send out mail confirmations and package information? I have online stuff but I want real stuff that I can touch, feel, hold in my hands and drool on! :rotfl2: Do I need to ask them to send it to me or is it done automatically? :confused3

I always pay off my package right around the 45 days prior to the trip mark. Then they start sending stuff right after that! :goodvibes You will get some stuff about your package and some separate stuff from ME (if you are using ME)!

Hey Snowbirds! :goodvibes I just wanted to drop by and wish everyone a fantastic weekend! I don't know how much I will be able to post over the next few days. We are headed to DH's parent's for our Thanksgiving Weekend! They live about 75 miles away from us in a tiny little town on the Northern shore of LAke Superior. I will definitely check in as often as I can to see how everyone is doing!

I know that Monday is Columbus Day for the U.S. - do you all get a Holiday on that day, what do you do? Kids off school at all or is it just a normal day?
Whatever you do, I hope everybody has a great weekend with family and friends!

Happy Thanksgiving!! :goodvibes I wish it were Thanksgiving here, we would be so much closer to January!! :rotfl:

My kids get Monday off for Columbus Day. I think all the schools around here do. Some might even get today off also for a 4 day weekend. We aren't doing anything exciting Monday - actually the kids have a doctors appointment!

Gosh, all this Stanley Cup talk! Besides being Disney freaks, Hockey is our second love. When the Rangers won the Cup my Husband got to see it and (being a hardcore hockey fan) wouldn't even touch it (for those who don't know, a NHL player will only touch the Cup if they win it). He has no "delusions of grandeur" (of being an NHL player, he's waaaaaay past that:rotfl:) but he played hockey (high school and rec.) and sticks to the "code". Worst part is that I wouldn't touch it when we saw it a few years ago!:) Maybe, if one of our teams (Rangers, Sens) can win it again one day, I'll can talk him into giving it a big kiss!;)

We have been to both. We thought the food at the Garden Grill wasn't that good. But the restaurant was fun and the characters were so great!! The food at the Coral Reef was good and the atmosphere was neat, but the seats right by the tank are limited so it is not likely that you will get one. And if you are not right down in the front it can be hard to see. The night we were at the Coral Reef it was very loud in there. And even though the Garden Grill is a character meal it was very quiet because of the set up. We had slow service at the GG, good service but slow. Service was average at CR. So both restaurants have their good and bad points.

So I guess it's all in what you want. . . Good luck deciding! I probably have pictures of them both somewhere if you want me to look for them!

OOH...have fun today!! Enjoy your balloon!! And how exciting for your son that he got to see Mickey and Goofy on tv YAY!!

Man I wish we had Monday off our school district doesn't give Columbus Day or President's day off anymore!! Oh well...I do have a teacher workday on the 20th which will be nice so I can catch up on grading!!!

I know I wish it were Thanksgiving too....we'd all be partying at the two month mark LOL!!!! But of course we are snowbirds we don't really need reasons to party..we just do LOL!!!:dance3:

Since we are all talking about food...I'm sure this has already been asked but I'm curious...what is everyone's favorite Disney restaurant!! I have only eaten at Mama Melrose (we were more eat at the hotel and in the room people our last couple of trips)!! This is the first time I have more than one ARD ( WOOT!!) so I'm just curious to know..where is the one place you have to eat at when you go to Disney??? (I apologize if you have already answered this before..I'm just too curious and I love dining reviews LOL!!)
