Peach3s--love the party pics!! Those kids are adorable!! GK looks like you!!! I love the picture of her blowing out her candles. I was looking at her little baby hands on the table--I love baby hands and feet!!!I just wanted to hug her!!

Morning Snowbirds!

TGIF! Just wanted to check in with all of you and say hello. Hope you are all having a great day so far.

P.S.

You should all know that it's 70 degrees here and I broke out the winter boots today! I'm in short sleeves, jeans and my black Steve Madden's. I feel fabulous!princess:

P.P.S.

Last nigth I had a dream/nightmare that I was half-way through my trip and didn't take pictures from my meals. I was in a serious panic!:rotfl2: (This is the 3rd time I have dreamed that. I think I'm Dissing too much!)

:rotfl: DISsing too much NAH!!!!:rotfl: Just your subconscience kicking in to remind you not to forget that camera at meal time LOL!!!! But just in case put it on sticky note somewhere you will see everyday LOL!!!!

WHOA! 5000 posts...that's fanstasmastic!!

:rotfl: lol...I love that you can write a paper on Disney. I've done projects on Disney in the past, but I don't think I could swing any right now. Although I still manage to find plenty of Disney references.

The other day in class my friend and I seemed to be constantly seeing allusions to Disney songs. First we read about a philosopher who said "You can't step twice into the same river." I reach over and write POCAHONTAS!! in her notebook. Then later the teacher was saying that something implied "we're all in this together." We almost lost it! :rotfl:

This is the first time it has occurred to me. I also considered doing a paper on crime in tourist areas (*ahem* Orlando) but I decided against it.

Hi everybody! I have a question for you. I keep going back and forth...I can't decide on Garden Grill or Coral Reef for dinner one night. I really like the idea of the personalized menu but my Mom, me and my boys don't like fish. My husband and Dad do?? I'm just not sure where to eat :headache:

Which do you think would be better for our group??

I guess it depends on what you want from the restaurant. GG is kind of cool because it rotates, and I remember the characters being good. The food is decent. I'm really looking forward to eating at CR this trip, because I think it will be fun. If you don't have any time set up to see the Mickey, Pluto, and Chip & Dale though, then it might be nice to incorporate that into a meal at GG.

Since we are all talking about food...I'm sure this has already been asked but I'm curious...what is everyone's favorite Disney restaurant!! I have only eaten at Mama Melrose (we were more eat at the hotel and in the room people our last couple of trips)!! This is the first time I have more than one ARD ( WOOT!!) so I'm just curious to know..where is the one place you have to eat at when you go to Disney??? (I apologize if you have already answered this before..I'm just too curious and I love dining reviews LOL!!)

My parents have always been eat at the condo, bring lunch, or CS people, so the only place I REALLY remember eating at is the Garden Grill. I would have to say my favorite was a Dinner Show they used to have when I was little, I think in EPCOT. The Fab Five would get up and dance and sing. I remember I would always get a hot dog, but considering that's just about all I would eat back then, it's not surprising.

I'm really really really excited about getting to try multiple restaurants during this trip. Also, I want to try some new CS, because somehow I always end up in Pizza Planet :confused3 (my little brother pretty much only eats pizza)
Luckily, Logan will eat anything and everything, so I can plan for places I want to go, and he'll be fine with it.
I tried to get him to look at the menus and choose his meals the other night, but for some reason he doesn't want to pick his food 3 months in advance.

Prior to my last visit, I didn't have a favorite restaurant... but it's now Chefs de France.

We ate at:
Rose & Crown - totally ignored by the waitress
Boatwright's - generally ignored by the waiter
The brewery on the boardwalk - waiter ditched us to go to a meeting, letting our food get cold before anyone remembered to bring it to us

Now, it was my best friend and I - two females, young-ish looking. We'd saved up a ton of cash for this trip, so we could splurge on sit-down meals but holy COW did we have WRETCHED service. It was appalling. No matter what we did or where we went, it was terrible. The brewery was the only place we made them find us a manager to complain.

We got to Chefs de France and our waitress was outstanding, attentive, and cheerful. We were wondering if France was just trying to be contrary...? ;)

Long answer to a short question!!

All this food talk has me STARVING!!!! It's 10 am and all I can think about it a gigantic cheeseburger!:woohoo:

Haha... I've been to France, and I thought the service was actually really good. The people there were very polite, especially in the face of silly Americans who didn't know any French. The people in the Czech Republic on the other hand... not so nice.

I'm getting hungry too. All I had for breakfast was an apple. Luckily, I get off work at 11, so I can go home and eat my leftovers from dinner last night. We went to Applebee's and Logan wasn't feeling well, which made me feel bad. We ended up bringing half of it home with us. As long as my little brother hasn't found it... it will be a good lunch.

Sorry to interrupt the food talk, holiday talk, and the various celebrations talk, but I have a celebration of my own...

DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE FOR ME!!!:yay: :yay::banana: :yay::banana: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :yay:

(and look who wanted to join the party again... )

Wow, I started at a year, and now it is only 99 days. Only 90 days to go until I can start packing... after unpacking for the Christmas trip to grandma's house! :santa: )

Good morning, Snowbirds! :cool1: :cool1:

Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip--I enjoyed your report! Thank you for the comment about missing your girls (who are beautiful, by the way!). I hate to admit that I feel jealous of people taking trips "just the two of them"...in ten years with kids, we haven't had even a weekend; there's just no one anywhere to leave the kids with...but I know I would miss them terribly, and they'll be gone too soon as it is. :sad2:

Two years ago, DS10 (then 8) loved the Big Bad Wolf suspended coaster, but last year he refused to go on it. :confused3 He insists that he's going on RnRC in January, though...thanks to Aerosmith! :rockband:

You sound like us - in 10 years of marriage we have left the boys one time - for our 5th anniversary (an entire weekend). Since then it has just gotten harder and harder for me to leave them. Plus we don't have many options for people to leave them with. We are actually going away for *one night* next month - just the 2 of us. First time in 5 1/2 years!! I am very excited, but I know I will feel bad about leaving the boys behind.

My DS9 LOVES RNRC!!! :cool1: It's his absolute favorite of all rides anywhere!!

oh my gosh!! We love lots of stuff!!! World Showcase: Biergarten, Rose & Crown, Le Cellier,Nine Dragons,--these table services are great-it's like visiting another country for the price of a meal. What could be better? Ummm,Tonys is pretty good, Crystal Palace, 50s prime time, kids love Cosmic rays and caseys. the little place on the corner of main street--across from Casys that has sandwiches, and awesome ice cream-Plaza Restaraunt--love it! Yummy-I am starving!!!!

Wow you have been to a lot of places!! :goodvibes

DH and the kids LOVE Casey's!

We are going to the Plaza Restaurant for the first time in January. I wasn't sure about using a TS credit on a place that serves sandwiches and ice cream, but we are going to go there for lunch and just do CS for dinner that night so we won't be tied to an ADR and will be able to get a good spot for Spectro early! Glad to hear you like the Plaza!

We love the Biergarten....and our other fav is Coral Reef.

Okay, I'm really starving now!!! 15 minutes til lunch. :yay:

We're not planning on doing any TS meals this trip. We did the DDP last year, but just felt too "planned"....:lmao: This trip we're doing the DDP-CS plan. That way we can go with being a bit more spontaneous.

I also have to say I went downstairs to the Celebration Tour thing. Really, if you have to drive a long way to get to it, I don't know if it'll be worth it for you. They're handing out the balloons (:goodvibes ) and they have computers set up to allow people to register for the trip. But that's about it. Radio Disney has a tent up, too. I don't see any characters yet, so I don't know if they're planning on being here or not (I'll keep a look-out -- I have a window office and can keep track of the goings on! ;) ) Don't see a lot of people down their either. But, it was cool and I'm glad I just have to go downstairs to get there. My DS will LOVE the Mickey-shaped balloon!

my littlest man is sickly and he told me in bed last night (with his spiking fever), mom I just want a cheeseburger and fries.!!!! So....guess that's what we are off to get!!! Sorry-but when you brought it up it reminded me! ha!!

For two of our anniv. we went back to the bed and breakfast town we stayed at on our honeymoon--my parents kept the kids---at a hotel across town! Ha!!!!It's close enough to meet them, but to far for us to all keep driving back and forth. But, they were littler then, and I kept thinking about them-so it was good. I keep asking Mike what he wants to do for #15--Can't get an anwer out of him--so maybe I'll have to pick something like Hawaii and see what happens!;) Bet that'll get his creative juices flowing in a more $$$ conservative, yet fun adventure for us!!

Don't feel bad! I'm eating my burger now! It's on a fresh baked jalepeno cheese bun and it is OH SO GOOD!!!!
