:cutie: Guess who's back?!?!:cutie:
I'm not even going to attempt to catch up! My goodness you guys have been chatty. We will be in Snowbirds #3 before Halloween.

:cake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET GEORGIA KATE!:cake:
(I even did this in Georgia font. Hehe!)

   WELCOME BACK!!! Yes you were greatly missed Soleil!!!!

The dates don't really matter. The maps don't have the dates on them or anything. I made an itinerary on the website and that's where the dates come into play. When I log on, it tells me how many days until my vacation. You will LOVE the maps. They are so neat!

I just ordered for my trip -it does ask when you're traveling, so they can provide "extra tips" etc., and the calendar options stop at Dec. 2008, but it also says the question is optional, so you can just skip it and go on to the next ordering screen.

I am envious of all you 'north' people getting out those jackets and long sleeves!!! I am really hoping that down here we get a real fall and a true winter!!! I am so sick of humidity and hot. Lord, we don't get enough of the good stuff. And snow---a real snow----never seen one:sad2: It's really pitiful!!

Well, ya'll have a great day and I'll check back in a while!!

You want "real winter"? Well come on up to Northern Ontario! I have a 95 ft long driveway you can help me shovel! 95 ft long and 8 ft wide with 1-2 ft of snow deep - THAT's A LOT OF SNOW! :lmao:

And snow---a real snow----never seen one:sad2: It's really pitiful!!

You've never seen a real snow??? Wow that just seems weird. But I guess we are the weird ones for living in the north! We can have snow anytime between October and April (we've even had flurries in May :sad2: ). I don't mind the snow I guess, just wish winter only lasted 2-3 months here , instead of 6-7 momths!!! :rotfl:

Hey~ where in Texas? I'm here!!!! Sending Georgia Kate another :bday: and enjoy all your goodies!! :cake: I love my kids to enjoy their bdays too-but I always get a little teary:sad1: I hate thinking of them leaving the nest!!!
I know it's got to be hard for you to be so far away!! Well, here's hugs from me to you:hug: I'll say a prayer for you!!!

She's in San Antonio. She grew up in Arlington, but my uncle now lives in San Antonio. Thanks for the hugs!:goodvibes

I missed you! And thanks for the sweet greetings for Georgia Kate!

Thanks to all for the birthday greetings for my baby girl! It's been a fun day so far! She loved her cupcakes and her presents. She also loves knowing there are more presents on the way!:lmao: I'll post some pictures if you'd like to see them! She is pretty stinkin' cute, if I must say so myself!:rotfl:

Oh yes, we love pictures!! :goodvibes That reminds me, I was going to post some of DS's birthday last week and forgot. Off to get those uploaded. . . .

 OMG...I would have hit him over the head!

OMG!! I forgot to tell you guys what my DH did the other day!! :scared1:

Let me start by telling you about Jack. Jack is my DH's co-worker. Jack is a Disney fanatic! DH never really knew Jack that well (they have over 200 employees), but he had heard that Jack loved WDW and goes 2-3 times a year. So I told DH to strike up a conversation with Jack about WDW. And he did a few months before our May trip. Jack told DH that he and his wife (their kids are grown) were thinking about taking a short trip in May. Well what do you know, Jack ends up going the same time as us. We arrived a few days prior to him. He called us when they arrived. We met up for lunch at AK and had the best time. We talked Disney for about an hour or so. The kids loved him and now call him "uncle Jack"!

So from time to time DH and Jack talk Disney at work now. And from time to time the kids still talk about "uncle Jack" at home!

So DH comes home from work the other day and proudly and excitedly exclaims - "Jack's going to Disney the same time as us!!!!!" :yay: I looked at him from across the room like this --> I am thinking - what is he doing??? has he forgotten it is a surprise??? has he lost his mind??? DS9 is looking at me strange. . . So I quickly say - How does Jack know when we are going next when we don't even know?????? DH then realized what he had done and quickly said - um well he wants to go again in a few years when we go!

WOW that was a close one!!! :upsidedow

Thanks everyone! DH is in alot of PAIN! I feel so terrible for him. He said of all the surgeries, this one hurts the most. (Although, it was the least difficult. I think the other's were easier because he was in the hospital being babied and fed pain meds through an IV.;) ) He should be fine in a week.

Did I miss anything good? Any codes or exciting life events?:cutie:

Awww how cute!! Thanks for sharing the pics!!!

Shelly - your boys are absolutely adorable! They "look" like very nice boys! :thumbsup2

I see that your Ds is very much into Star Wars! My DD7 LIVES for the days we let her watch Star Wars! :woohoo: Whenever she has a freind over she asks them "do you like Star Wars, do you want to watch it? ?" :rotfl: So far most of her friends are not so interested! I guess my girls are a bit different than most kids their ages - they are not into High School Musical or Hannah Montanna AT ALL! Oh well, they are mine and I love them! Looks like your DS had a great birthday! :cool1:

Star Wars is their big thing right now. They LOVE it!! That's so funny that your DD likes Star Wars! Some of the boys friends that are girls like it too. Some of them can kick the boys butts in a lightsaber duel!! :lmao:

Don't forget to take your girls to the Jedi Training Academy at DHS! DS9 got chosen to participate in May - it was his dream come true :cloud9: ! We're hoping DS7 will get chosen in January! :wizard:

Awwwww...I love that!! I was one of those little girls who would easily trade in a tea party for Ewocs LOL!! I was a huge Star Wars fan growing up and as I have aged I have become more of a Lord of the Rings fan LOL!!! But I still love me some Ewoks!!

Hey everyone! I'm back from my busy morning, now it's onto my busy afternoon. Laundry (yuck), cleaning (double yuck), teaching dance (fun)....I'm horribly sore from my ballet class this morning, so I might just have to sit and DIS for awhile! :)

You've inspired me, and I'm considering enrolling in a dance class for the spring semester.

Haha... I have a feeling Logan's going to be the same way.

Shelly, I think it's exciting that you are going to spring such a nice surprise on your kids. My DD was so happy when I told her we were taking her after Christmas, and she is in college :lmao:

My DS on the other hand is not a fan...never has been. :confused3 :confused3 In fact when he was almost 3 and we were there (I was pregnant with DD at the time and very tired ) I asked him to sit with me for a few minutes while I rested, and of course he happily did so..Well there we are sitting in the middle of the BEST PLACE ON EARTH and this sweet little face looks up at me and says................"Mom, can we go home now, I have had enough of this and am very bored"

When I announced this trip, he let me know he wasn't interested...LOL

Robin

89 days to go :cool1: :cool1:   :dance3: :dance3:

Yeah well... not everybody loves Disney. I'm planning 2 trips for next year, and I'm in college two. However, one's my honeymoon, and the second is under the guise of a "graduation" trip.

Keeping Disney a secret is tough. Our last two January trips, Santa brought the news on Christmas day. Shortly after this years trip, our four year old said with the pure innocence of a child "Mommy, I love that Santa gives us trips to Disney, but why don't you and Daddy give us one sometime? We'll still love Santa if you want to give us one too!"

Needless to say, Mommy and Daddy are giving the kids the trip in 2009.:)

Awww... that's cute... one day they'll realize it was you all along.

LOL Shawna, no he's not adopted, but there have been times we've wondered :rotfl: :rotfl: Seriously he's a good kid, just not a disney fan. He doesn't have to go with us anymore cause he's 21 now and will baby sit the cats :woohoo: Hopefully he won't marry a disney nut, well maybe he should and I'll take her to Disney :lmao:

Hmm... I'm lucky ALL my siblings love Disney. I was trying to plan my trip next summer as a All Girls Trip... and my brother's got upset...

We did a surprise cruise for my little sister last October. It was for her 13th b-day - the surprise went just the way Mom and I planned it. She though that just our older sister and I were going...she was very upset by this. Would ge mad and leave the room if the trip was brought up. We started planning for her and my mom to join us in June...very long summer keeping the secret. It was even more difficult when it came time to pack...she kept looking for the clothes that we had already packed in the suitcase. We always stay at a hotel the night before our early flights and take their free shuttle (this is also why we can't take coats and leave them in the car...no car to leave them in). Anyways when we got to the hotel she didn't even want to up up to the room to say good-bye...didn't want to get out the car. Mom told her she needed to help carry the luggage in. When mom handed her, her Cinderella totebag, she wanted to know why we needed to take her bag...Mom told her we didn't need it she did. It took about a minute for the shock to register and then she burst into tears. I wish we could have video taped it...it was great.

We aren't doing the surprise thing this time...at 14 I think she would be on to us. It was great the first time.

I hope y'all have great reactions from your kids.

Aww... what a great surprise.

I went on the Disney website to order maps yesterday and it would only let me pick travel dates to the end of December. I'm hoping they will put up January dates in time for our maps to arrive.

:bday: to Georgia Kate (love the name)

:welcome: to anyone new.

I cheated and put my dates in for Jauary for Dec. I want them for scrap booking anyway. If Jan opens my friend will order them for us! Morning everyone!

I remember putting in January dates as well.... hmm... I don't remember when I ordered them though.... it was a while ago. Maybe they're coming up with a new design for next year.

Thanks everyone! DH is in alot of PAIN! I feel so terrible for him. He said of all the surgeries, this one hurts the most. (Although, it was the least difficult. Aww...I'm sorry he's in pain.
No codes... some of us did receive repeat Free Dining through December pin e-mails though. We're all hoping the jackpot comes out at the end of the month.

Jenjolt - I had your message copied, but messed it up... anyways... I'm restraining myself from changing the times on my ADRs, especially my Jikos ADR for Jan 4... it's at 7:05 and I really want to take Logan to see the Osbourne Dancing Lights before they close the next day. Our flight gets in around 3, so I'm guessing we'll be at the resort between 4 & 4:30 (if everything's on time, so we would have to run to MGM right after we checked in, then run back to make our ADR. Choices choices choices...
