Hi snowbirds! I'm here! I'll be at Pop Century from January 3-10th with 7 of my friends.

So far, you can catch our Grand Gathering eating at the following places:

1/3/09 - Tony's Town Square at MK, 7:40pm
1/4/09 - 'Ohana at the Poly, 9:30am
1/5/09 - Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre at DHS, 6:30pm
1/6/09 - Raglan Road at DTD, 9pm
1/7/09 - Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, 7:50pm
1/8/09 - Crystal Palace at MK, 8:05am
1/9/09 - Coral Reef at EPCOT, 8:55pm
1/10/09 - nothing, we have to go home

And of course I'll be rockin' my LGMHs!!

Sharadoc--have you posted a current pic of yourself? Because all I see in my head is the Valentine's picture you put up a while back!

Well, I look about the same (I cover the gray now) My glasses are a little more current, too! I still wear that sweater. I'll see what I can find, but usually I'm the one BEHIND the camera.

Oh, and of course the stress of having children has added some "age" to my face - not wrinkles, just fatigue I think I am the oldest Snowbird on here. While most of you are posting your pictures of being 4 years old at WDW, I was there as an adult! But, due to the miracle of modern science, my kids are only 13 and 7, so I cross generations.

You can still picture me that way, though, and you would recognize me if you saw me in person!

What a day it has been! Busy, busy, busy! AAhhhhh! Bedtime is in sight! I don't know about the rest of you, but after a long busy day, I just love climbing into my nice cozy bed!

QOTD - hhmmm, I think the main mouse himself! Yep, ole Mickster! The one and only, Mickey Mouse! He is, was and always will be my fave!

Sharadoc--that spreadsheet is incredible, way to go!!! I had no idea that many people were going to be there when I am. Do you plan to keep it updated, or should I do my own updating?

I desperately want my picture taken with Mater!

I'm going to try and update weekly. Hopefully that will be enough. Then I can send out updated versions to everyone who requested one - will that work?

Do you know if there's a Mater to take a photo with? He's a car - can they do that?

I'm back from my very long and exhausting day. Hooray!

QOTD-Hmm...I haven't really had my picture taken with any characters, besides Mickey, since I was 15 yrs old (11 yrs ago). Two years ago, my DD was in an "I hate getting my picture taken" phase. So we got a big family shot with Mickey and she's looking at the wall behind her. So, needless to say, we didn't waste any precious time waiting in line for characters. Six years ago, I went with my parents, two sisters and DH (his first time!). Again, we only saw Mickey. I'm really excited about the new Pixie Hollow opening at the Toontown Fair! Tink is my favorite character in the whole wide world! I've never had my picture taken with the princesses either, so I'm really looking forward to our Princess lunch in Norway too.

I'm really starting to think of a Christmas trip in 09, so I think getting an AP would be a good deal.
What are some of the benifits to having an AP?

No one has suggested a QOTD, either. I'm trying to think of one, but I can't think of anything with enough answers. How about this one - which character are YOU (not a family member, but YOU) planning to get a photo with?

My answer - a Power Ranger! DH and I are big fans of Japanese giant monster movies and TV shows, and have tapes of the old shows that Power Rangers is based on. When PW came on in the states, I was thrilled and have watched it since the beginning, mostly for the Japanese scenes of the giant fights! Everyone in the house likes to watch. I would like to get more than one, but I'd especially like Dino Thunder or SPD.

Second choice is a Star Wars character - probably a storm or clone trooper. We are also BIG Star Wars fans in our house. BUT NOT this guy

Ha- I never even thought about it! This thread is oh so educational....probably the character I'll take a picture with will be the one who doesn't have a line. I'm impatient about that kind of thing. We do have a serious Ariel fan going with us and it might be pretty fun to find her.

Awww, you and DD will love the Storybook Lunch! I took my cousin when she was 2, and it was by far the best moment of the trip when all the princesses came to talk to her!

I love going through the grotto, it's really very pretty! Although its another case where you can feel silly standing in line. You can easily feel like a giant compared to all the little girls waiting there! But I remember to say to myself, who cares, I'm in DISNEY WORLD! And come on, it's Ariel!

Disco Dale just can not be held back! We are just too cute. He can't resist us!

Good morning, Snowbirds! You should all be up and moving soon! It's the Muslim Eid Il Fitr, so there is no school. I've got work to do and some organization for our big move back to the US for 7 months. I gotta pack up and get ready for that in just 2 months time! AHHHH!

Today I went through clothes to see what still fits and what doesn't. Bad news is that my oldest daughter doesn't have much for the colder months. I gotta get her to the store in the next week or two. The good news is that I now have 3 1/2 garbage bags of clothes to donate. My youngest 2 sprouted like weeds over the last year. Scoty is going to be 6, but wears mostly 7/8 and even bigger in shirts. Georgia Kate skipped size 3T altogether! She'll be 8 on the 9th, but is now wearing size 4/5T! Tall like their daddy!

So, that means half what I saved from last year just doesn't fit. Maggie's clothes get packed away for Georgia. Thankfully I have all her 4 and 5T. Thomas grew a bit, but is still wearing some 8s and mostly 10s. Good news! He lost a few pair of pants to Scoty, but mostly, his clothes still fit!

I also have to organize and guess about clothes for the warmer months, since we'll be in the US until July of next year. We have to take summer clothes. But I'm only taking what I know for certain will fit. We'll be buying some new stuff while we're over there. Clothes from the US are so much bette quality than most of what I can find here.

So, that's been my day so far. Fun times! Got more of this to do , and then maybe I can get some Disney planning and scrapping done tonight!

You can definately get your pic taken with Mater! He and Lighting McQueen used to be in an area by the Backlot Tour. They now have a new home - where Al's Toy Barn used to be (near Mama Melrose's). From what I understand, the backdrop is Luigi's Tire Barn. The Toy Story Characters have moved to Pixar Place.

My son was chosen last year to wave the checkered flag to bring them out and he got first photo with them. He was on Cloud 9, as at the time they were his favorite! Now, I don't know who is favorite it....probably the Power Rangers, as he's chosen to be the Red PowerRanger for Halloween.

I just realized that today is 100 days until my Disney trip! I hit double digits tomorrow!!!!

Now I'm ready to party!

Gosh Peaches, I am not jealous of you right now. Going through kids' clothes is one of my least favorite things to do, and I only have 2 children! I've been putting it off for a while, but it's going to have to be done very soon.
