January 2006 List- Who's Going

We are planning the 3rd trip to Disney with the whole family!!! We are going to be there 12/31 thru 1/7/2006. We are really looking forward to it this year. We are planning on celebrating my sons b-day there 1/1, so he is really excited to get a badge for the day!!!

We are coming in January too - staying off site in villa 12 to 27 Januray.

DH and I spent out homeymoon in WDW in 1992 - this is our first trip with our 3 kids, 8 6 and 15 months. Not telling them until Christmas Day - I can't wait...

DS and I are going down Jan 3 to Jan 7 for golfing, staying at WL. Rest of family DW, DD, DS, DD, DS, and DS will be down Jan 7, staying at OKW. We all go back Jan 20. Will be ready for a rest on Jan 21.

We'll be at All Stars Movie for one night (1/22) and then Old Key West studio from 1/23 through 1/30.

Don't worry it's actually not that many people. I didn't count- but I think there might be about 100 DISER's on the list. Compare that to the 10's of thousands registered. I think the first week might be a hair busier than usual, but not overly so.

I will update the list tomorrow.

DH and I are going in mid-Jan. I just booked airline tickets today. We leave Jan 14-Jan 23rd. Not sure which hotel we are staying at yet. I am holding out for some sort of special to be announced...

Woo-hoo, only....2.5 months to go!

DH & I will be there 1/6 - 1/12. Booked our plane tickets from Oregon last week, still have to make room reservations. Last time we stayed at Pop Century but AKL is still our favorite!

Do you think that any specials will be announced? Our TA, Keith from Mouseketrips, said that there may be one and had hoped by the 24th. He thought that they may be busy with huricane related issues, so he will keep looking.

Don't know if you can add this onto existing reservations or not, but I found the following deal on Mousesavers.com last night and confirmed it with Disney this morning:

Coming Soon: a special offer on Magic Your Way packages will be offered for check-ins January 1-March 8, 2006. When you purchase a package that includes a Base Ticket, you will get the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More features without additional charge (a value of $80 plus tax per person). The tickets will still expire 14 days after first use unless you pay for the No Expiration feature.

I don't have details yet on whether the packages will be discounted in any other way, though the sample rates that have been floated suggest some type of discounting. Booking dates will be 11/3/05-12/18/05. Check back here (Mousesavers.com) on November 3 for full booking details.

We still have days remaining on our 10 day passes from last trip. Do we need to use them up before we purchase more? Could we get this January deal and then just use the other passes at a later date?
Before the finger scan I don't see how they would have traced them but now......

We still have 5 days with no expiration left over from August. We plan to use those in the future. We have a hold on a package for this promotion...plus I wanted the dining plan for our January trip and you need to purchase a new MYW package to get that.

We'll be back at the World from January 12 - 16th. We have a 2-Bedroom booked at BCV. I hope it's not TOO busy over the holiday weekend.

We just got back from a 4 - day weekend and had a blast. We're gearing up for Thanksgiving at HH with friends!

How did you confirm it with disney? Did a CM tell you it was in the works too?
There's a couple of threads about it on the Codes and Rates board. Some people have heard that it won't come out until the end of November, so if someone told you that November 3 was the day, we'd like to know!

I just called 407 W Disney and asked for a quote for the days we are going. I also asked if the promotion I read on Mousesavers could be applied and the CM put me on hold a good 5 minutes. She came back and said it was verified (I suppose by her supervisor) and I put my reservations on hold. I got a confirmation number and plan on paying next week once the promotion officially begins. I also asked if there were any other discounts or promotions and she said this would be the only one. I also have a cheaper quote on hold with AAA, and am waiting until next week to see if I can get the hopper,etc. promotion. They told me that there would be limited numbers of these avaiable.

So you booked at rack rate? Or did they tell you that you got the code? Would you mind sharing the details of your package and the quote?

Can I ask where you booked and how good is the deal? My friend is looking to go with us and wants a deal at AKL.

She is planning on calling on Nov 3rd to see.
