Although I haven't posted here much, I just wanted to wish you all a great trip. I just made the dreaded phone call and just cancelled our trip.

Last Saturday our son became really sick. After chest x-ray, CAT scan, MRI, blood work, etc. he has been diagnosed with a condition called "acute diseminated encephlo myelitis" - which is a post-virual inflammation of the brain.

It sounds really bad, but actually he is getting better now. It all started from a pneumonia diagnosis. A few days ago his eyes were crossed, could barely walk or talk, and just slept almost all the time. Again, he is much better, but the doctors recommended that we don't go. As the one doctor said, for a trip like this, we want him to be 100%. He might be susceptible to dizziness. As soon as the doctor pointed out the fact that he might be climbing a pool ladder, that pretty much made my decision. Also being on a ship, he might be more apt to motion sickness. So.....I wish you all a great time. I am already looking into a
Disney cruise for March or April if I can find availability that soon. So, if anyone every questions getting
travel insurance, take it from me, it's worth it!!!!
Let me know if anyone can recommend a specific
travel agent/company. I used AAA for this one and only received $75 onboard credit. I'm hoping to do better next time.
