Palo Price Increase

Effective 1/10/08 on the Disney Wonder and 1/12/08 on the Disney Magic, the price of dining at Palo increases to $15 per person for both the brunch and dinner. (NOTE: This increase is applicable to NEW bookings only. If you already have Palo booked, the $10 rate will be honored.)

The Palo Service Team will get $5 of this fee while $10 will go towards maintaining and enhancing the venue.

Oh My, Oh my...
I should really be sleeping as I have to work tonight, but my Colts are playing. The score was 21-17 when the dogs woke me up so of course I had to watch some on of the 4th quarter. My Husbad, Dad and two brothers are at the game. I was such a good daughter to give my ticket up for my Dad who drove 7 hours to use my ticket cause I had to work, could have ahd someone traded me, but I needed the day pack...

The score is know 23-21 COLTS YEAHHHHHHHHH. I only live about 15 minutes from the Dome and drive by it twice a day going to work.
I agree, the games hopefully are playing, otherwise, I hay have to have a loarge internet charge so my husband can watch the game online...

I can't belive that I leave for my first Dinsey cruise in 4 more days.... I am so excited. I hope to spend tommrow finishing packing. I had everything layed out in the guest bedroom, but my family stayed overnight for the game, so of course the were more important. ( just barely)...

I only have two more days of work after today, Thursday taking the dogs to my brothers in Fort Wayne, and flying out early Firday. We don't have firm plans for Friday except staying over night in Port Canaveral.

If anyone was wondering, JCS179 is part of my group going...John has been lurking for awhile, and today we ganged up on him to join in. Let me introduce them to you, they are our best friends, more like our brother and sister, John and his wife Shirley. They are traveling with their two youngest John and Catheryn and are parents to Roodoll...confused yet? This will be the 2nd cruise we have taken together, in 06 we did the double dip of Castaway and Mexico. What a blast we all had..sickness and all... by the end of that cruise, poor John was referred to as "poor green John"..or my favorite..shark bait...

So, I need to get to work on updating everything..welcome to all our new thawers...

Che...no offense...I will be rooting for whoever is playing New England..(still haven't gotten over the Superbowl when they beat my Eagles)

For the past cruisers I have a packing question/ship temperature - more for the ladies - What type of tops do I need to pack - ones with sleeves or without? I am having trouble with this because I don't know what the ship temp is like - how much time outside vs. inside during the day (I know this may vary) but anyone that can give me some advice please do.

As you can tell I have started the packing - kids are done & DH for the most part - just down to me and I am almost there.

Just 4 more days - out of the clouds and into the sun!!!

Most of my eveningwear is sleeveless, but I know I'll need a sweater or something warmer if I go out on deck in the evening. The dining rooms can be chilly, but in April, I wasn't uncomfortable in the theater in the evening.

I do have a sweater, and a couple of long-sleeved shirts for the day, but otherwise it's mostly t-shirts. I figure if I get cold, I can layer, but it's harder to re-adjust if you're just in long sleeves and get too warm!

Welcome to the board! We have a 5 yo daughter as well (Hannah) who loves the clubs,and has a friend at home named Emily! We will be at the 9am meet on Sunday (one week from today!! Yay!) - I'm sure there will be a bunch of kids in each age group for your children to get to know.

We're almost all packed, and certainly ready to go! I just hope Jim left enough room in the suitecases for the few things we've forgotten or *can't* pack yet! Oh well - if we're missing anything, that just gives us an excuse to buy it on the ship, right?

I am so happy to hear that Emily's middle name is (Hanne), so we meet in the promenade at 9am sunday what things do you put in the bag, the lingo on here is hard to grasp as i am a newcomer, I have made up a gift bag from our family it has mostly princess and pirate themed gifts and a few Florida is that ok, or is there something different i need to do, can someone let me know if what i did is right not sure how this works, thank you and can't wait to meet you all....

Bonnie,
We have found that the dining rooms can be chilly at night sometimes. It is probably a good idea to have a wrap or sweater to put on your shoulders if you are going to wear something sleeveless to dinner.
Today has been a day of packing for us. T-shirts, tank tops, and shorts are what we packed for each day. I hate being cold, so I hope it is nice and warm all week. Don't forget the sunscreen!!! Can't wait to get to the port!

Well we are packed. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything really important.

I was planning to run my last errand today, but this nor'easter may mean postponing that until tomorrow.

We fly down Friday afternoon (of course there is a chance of snow again Friday!), we'll spend the night at the Hyatt, and have a car service bring us to the port Saturday a.m.

I'm soooo ready for some warmer weather and to not see SNOW!

Well, I stayed home from work today due to the Nor'Easter. We already have about 8" and it is still snowing at a good clip.

Stacieps - are you at all worried about flying out Friday? We have a flight with Southwest at 10:05 Friday morning out of Manchester. Weather reports are looking iffy, but they won't talk about Friday's storm until this one is done!

Hello everyone,

We are going on a tour in St. Thomas with Henry at EEE tours. He's been highly recommended on this board and cruise critic. Anyhow, he has room for more people. The tour is a little sightseeing and up to mountain top, a little shopping and the beach. It's $35 or $30 if your with law enforcement and/or military. Kids under 6 are free. Picks you up at 9am. I told him I'd pass the word. www.eeetours.com


Also, for the fish extenders from what I understand you bring stuff to put in others. From what I've read you can do it once or several times. You can do them all or just some. From others it sounds like walking all over the ship more than once isn't that enjoyable. So basically you can make what you want of it. At least this is my understanding. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! I think I saw at last count there was 13 groups participating.

for those of you thinking about coral world on St. Thomas, I contacted them this week and was told the semi sub trips are all reserved for the cruise ships, and that if we want a spot on a sub we should book an excursion through disney (though I suppose we can take our chances and just show-up).

We're probably going to book the excursion but get back to the ship on our own so we can stay a while longer (i think the excursion only gives you 90 minutes and we want to hit Coki beach).

BTW, watch the weather, it looks like another storm will hit the northeast on Friday.
