I have 50 hours of work, and 12 hours of night classes this week! THEN leaving to the airport at 6am on Saturday. When will I have time to sleep??

Also, for pirate night do people usually dress up???

My DD's will dress up, DH will wear a red polo shirt with blk skulls and I will wear a red, blk,white dress. And we will all put on the bandana's that DCL gives you regardless what we have on.

I'm working every day this week. I'm just happy that I have a fairly cushy 8-5 job. We're driving to my in-laws on Friday after work, and then on Saturday morning we're flying from Las Vegas to LA. I admit it sounds silly to fly that distance, but I hate driving in LA, and the tickets were a gift just originally out of a different airport but then our babysitting plans changed.

We'll be at the Crowne Plaza Saturday night, and then Sunday we finally board the Wonder. My DW and I have never been on a cruise before - we're crazy excited. She said she'd finish up the blanket she's making today and I'll post pictures when it's done.

But then I only work until 2ish.. flight is 3ish..I told work that I have to leave at 12:30..

Hi everyone!!

I have FIVE whole days of work this week and I'm worthless!!!

Last night at 9pm, I decided to change our flights to leave Omaha Friday evening, so now we have a full day at Disneyland on Saturday! We get in super late into LAX, but after sleeping in we'll still end up with more time then if we flew into LA on Saturday.

I'm also curious about a meet. Sorry I haven't kept up with this thread like I should so I apologize if it's already been mentioned.

My daughter is going to be dressed all piratey, and I'm thinking maybe I'll look for a cute tshirt or something when at DL on Saturday. I tried to plan better, but this trip has totally snuck up on me!

There are NO words for how excited I am!!!

I have a full pirate costume as well as my sister, My parents will no doubt show their spirit by wearing the DCL bandanas. Minus 9 days for me!! Ive been in the US since the new Year because i plan to drag this holiday out as long as possible! We fly into LA on the 12th so that will make the cruise seem that more real! I CANT WAIT!

Hi all... Very new to all this, so please excuse my lack of knowledge when it comes to the forum...

My family and I are booked on this cruise and are EXCITED! It will be my DH, DS's (14,9,7) and one of their friends (14) DD (18) and her friend (18), sister, brother in law and nephew.. Wheewww done.. lol..

Love reading everyones threads and replies.. If any of you veteran cruisers have any tips on how to make our frist cruise even more spectacular than we expect would greatly appreciate the advice!!!

Hello! Dh, dd 14, ds 6, and I will be flying out Friday morning from Chicago. Saturday at DL and the ship on Sunday. Is there a meet set up? I have not read the whole thread yet, still trying to finish the thread on tips and secrets. I am looking forward to new friends and a great trip!

Yvette - welcome, welcome, welcome! DH and I have been on 4 DCL together (he's been on 1 more than me though). I'd say to make the first one memorable, just find things that interest you in the navigator and just do it. Don't sit there thinking, "should I, shouldn't I?" ...Just go for it!

As for the FE, I'm sorry to inform you that our FE list was closed on December 15th. But, we do look forward to meeting you at the Promenade Lounge at 3 on Sunday the 15th!!!

OK, I'll go the other way here. DH and I are not big on dressing up for pirate night. But, in order to not feel too out of place, DH will be in black on black and going as "the dread Pirate Roberts." As for me, black pants and either a sparkly red top or a black top. Nothing crazy for us.

Angie - we will be at DL on Friday and DCA on Saturday! I'm so excited, we've never been to DL, although we've been to WDW over 30 times in 11 years...and we live in New Jersey! It's a bit of an expensive habit, LOL!

Well, yesterday was a smooth day at work, I cannot believe it! Just 2 days to go and I'm free until the 24th!!!!!!!!

got mostly packed last night (well, at least my stuff and the stuff for my kids to go to my parents' house. As for DH, I had to go to the store last night and buy him pants and belts. going to wring his cute neck soon. It's 12:18am here so we're officially leaving NZ tomorrow! If any of you have seen the Lily's Disneyland surprise video; that's how excited I am right now. Still one and a half days of work to go, but I get to re-live the half-day in LA so that sounds fair enough to me! Looks like the weather is pretty nice over there at the moment, it's meant to be our summer but it's been raining ever since Christmas.
maybe nz is just missing Meg, I know I am!

3 more days of work, since I am already awake, that is 2 more wake up days for work. Yesterday, I ordered another Vinylmation for signatures to be delivered Thursday. I found one that was at a Disney Store here so I just needed one more. This morning wasn't too awesome of a morning though, walked out to the Jeep and noticed someone had helped themselves to everything in the glove compartment. It was all over the front seat. The only thing we could find was taken was the registration???!! Hmm, so now I need to contact the police about that one. It is a new Jeep and I am just not used to the locking part of it for the doors. Bad learning lesson on that. Could've been much worse I suppose, at least the car was still there and then I keep thinking, I am going vacation in 4 days people, don't mess with me!

Saturday we are loading up and driving to CA! We are staying at the Crowne like some of you are. I never relax until we are all stepping onto the ship and then it is like "ahhh, we are all on, healthy, and safe, now wheres my drink of the day??"

Our very first Disney cruise we took, my DD broke her leg 2 weeks (darn trampoline) before we were leaving. I was hysterical!! They had to set it a few days later after the swelling went down. Fortunately I work in the medical field and called in several favors so they casted it in a water proof sparkling red cast. But since she is mentally handicapped, she wasn't going to grasp the concept that we may not go on the trip. So we went, and Disney just exceeded my expectations and catered to that girl and made my vacation so worth it. That is the reason I adore Disney.

Thank you for posting the meet again. Now, to just remember it!

Thanks Beth for that info... So sorry to hear that we will not participate in the FE, since this is our first DC I had no idea people got together and did fun things like this.. But I will definitely be prepared for our next cruise!! Thanks again and see you soon!!
