We received a small booklet with luggage tags and documents to fill out before we sail today!!!! Anyone else???

Yup! We got docs yesterday too!

My docs will go to my TA and then they will send them to us. I don't expect to see them until after Christmas, they are slow in sending things out.



Ok, is it Jan. 13th yet (the day we leave to go down)? We have about 10 inches of snow on the ground and it's not supposed to stop until tomorrow morning. I'm ready for this cruise NOW!

Soooo, we are addicts of DCL and will be going without the kids....Awww, too bad. They are in school and just missed 5 days from crusing in the second week of school on DCL. We are DVC members and have points to use before they expire in August. We are taking my darling Aunt that is just ecstatic.

The last cruise we were on we noticed alot of homemad hanging door decor. Each person in the party had a pocket and appeared to be doing some sort of an exchange of goodies with others they apparently met on here.

Can anyone enlighten me on this and I wanna participate. I think it would add to our fun and make it all that more memorable for my aunt!!!!

Can't wait to meet some new friends and share some goodies. We are from Texas and an Army family so we have some ideas up our sleeves.

What you saw were what we on the DIS call Fish Extenders. You exchange gifts with other cruisers on a DIS meets thread, such as this. We are doing a FE and if you want to participate just indicate so on here and the organizer will gather your info from you and add you to the list. Also read back a couple of pages and it will also give you more info on the FE. For the life of me right now I can't remember who is organizing it, but I do remember we have until 12/31 to sign up for the exchange.

• Please deliver gifts on the day most convenient for you (not assigned days).
• Please feel free to either leave a gift/gifts for the travel party to share of for each individual in that party- which ever you prefer.
• We would like to have a final list by Dec. 31 so please let me know if you would like to join or would no longer like to participate. I will send out PMs with the detailed participant list info by January 2.
• If you are notified that you have a room change before January 12, please send me a PM. I will send out the participant list with any revised info I have on January 13th.
• If you find out after January 12, please leave me a note outside my stateroom or a voicemail- by 4:30pm if at all possible.
• I will bring hard copies of the participant info with me so that I can update them with any last minute room changes and drop them by each room early evening on the night we set sail.

Good luck. I'm going to use a tote bag, much easier.

For our first cruise, I knitted the FE to look like Mickey- a bit impressionistic partly because I forgot to give him a mouth!

For our second cruise we decided to sew ours- seemed easier than determining which of the no sew products we needed and then how to assemble it. But don't look to closely- I am not a seamstress by any stretch of the imagination.

We printed some neat pictures on printable fabric and placed it on the FE we made for my sister's family on our last cruise. I was pretty happy with those photos- tho in retrospect I wish I had used printable iron-on fabric.

The best part is figuring out what to do with them when you get home!

I'm ready for it, we had more snow this morning.

There is snow in the forecast for east central Georgia next week. In the 6 years we have lived here it has only 'snowed' twice and it was really just a dusting. Growing up in Indiana the idea of snow makes me feel warm and fuzzy, but I also really don't miss driving or walking in it.
