January 11, 2014 Eastern Cruise

Definitely interested in an onboard meet. Did this with our last cruise, and we all met up on one of the forward decks just before the sail away party. It was a good way for the kids to meet up so they could recognize each other and find each other throughout the cruise.

On a different note, anyone "like" Disney Cruise Line on Facebook? If so, did you see today's (May 23) post about watching the sail away party from the AquaDuck? Look under the AquaDuck at the lady in a pink jacket...that's me!! The two to my right (left in photo - in red and black jacket) are our dear friends. Hubby must be behind the pole, ha! That was during the Dream's media preview cruise (friends work for Disney marketing). Kids couldn't join us for that one, but have been on since. That was our first Disney Cruise, and it hooked us!!

I was just doing some investigating and found out how busy each port was going to be on our port days.

Booked this cruise before leaving the Fantasy in February 2013. This will be our 5th DC. Our Disney troop will include myself, DH, DD (14) , DS(6), DD(6) and my parents. This will be a first Disney Cruise for my parents. I am brand new to this board and am hoping to join in on the fish extenders this trip. It seems like great fun!

We are on this sailing as well. It will be my husband (David) and myself (Mary)and hopefully our best friend (Peter). Due to some health issues he has not completely committed yet, but will need to do so soon.

This will be the 3rd Disney cruise for all of us, with the other two both on the Magic. We have done the eastern Caribbean itinerary before, so are looking at not doing shore excursions, but relaxing on the ship as much as possible. This will be our first cruise without our children....can't wait for some good "adult" time.

Would love to do the fish extenders. Our stateroom is 8100.

We will be arriving on the 8th and spending a few days at OKW before the cruise. Just wanted to play it safe with the winter weather.

Not a problem, some days I think my brain is on permanent vacation

I only collect DCL, but have a few special ones that are not. I will bring whatever Pluto I have with me

So with a name like your "luv to cruise disney", how many cruises have you done? I'm actually thinking of trying out pin trading. Might be tough though, cause I like to get, but don't like to give up! I haven't traded pins since the 1988 Olympics, might be time to get back at it.

This is #11 for me and #9 for Natasha.

As far as trading goes, I have a collection of DCL pins that I don't trade -I have them all displayed in an extra room - but in the course of trading you get extras and that makes up what I have for trade.

My only piece of advice if you are going to start collecting/trading, is to pick a theme. there are literally thousands of types and themes you could collect and I gets overwhelming.

Except for a few special pins I only collect DCL.

This is cruise #12 for Brian and I. Love your collection! Good advice on choosing a theme, fortunately I have five months to figure out what my favorite Disney thing is. Hmmm......

I have found that all things Disney is my favorite theme. I love Pluto, but my collection includes a little bit of everything. I think one of my favorites is one I got in NY. New York City is spelled out with Disney characters, although I have a giant pin of the characters sleeping that I love.
