It is all of our first cruise, and we are celebrating Jim turing the big 7-0 a few days before we leave!

Thanks Brack! - I don't know what we were thinking on booking that 3 night - other than any DCL cruise is better than no cruise - Our last DCL was a 14 night Hawaii on Oct '12 - and our next one after this one is the WBTA in Sept '14 - so I am sure the 7 night will be too short for us too - but WAY BETTER than a 3 night!!

DH and I have been to these ports before, so we plan to hold down the fort for all of you folks going ashore
Somebody has to keep the drink waiters busy !!

We have snorkelled St John before and it was lovely. A St Maarten island tour is also fun.

We will have our daughters with us, and they will be 1 month shy of 3 years old and 11 months old at the time of the cruise. We were going to do WDW for our vacation, but decided that a cruise would be so much easier with them being so young. The nursery looks so nice, and we definitely will be booking some time there. My older daughter loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I can't wait to see her meet the characters.

I've been doing my research and joining the fish extenders group sounds like so much fun, so we definitely want to sign up for it. What is the Champagne Girls group that has been mentioned?

I'm really happy that it looks like some others on the cruise have pretty young kids. If you have any advice on cruising with babies and preschoolers, I would love to hear it.

Number one advice since it is everyone's first time cruising go to the doctor and get the sea sickness patches that go behind the ears. It will be best to have them on hand in case anyone gets sea sick rather than be scrambling for something late at night the first night or before the shops open. You never know how someone will react until they get onto the ship.

My DBF and I always make sure we are eating super healthy and taking vitamin C supplements starting about a month out from any vacation. It won't prevent you from getting sick but proper hygiene, and diet before can help lower you chances. Worst thing to do is to get sick right before a vacation and half to call it off especially since the cruise lines make you fill out health forums and we for one don't like to lie on them.

Also relax and have fun. Nothing beats cruising especially with Disney.
