Besides alot of birthdays we'll also be celebrating the fact that my 6 years nephew will be cancer free for 1 year, God willing. He had his 6th birthday this past Sunday, there was a party with his classmates but this Saturday we'll be celebrating his last Chemo treatment, which was yesterday.

If you have in your heart would please include Adam in your prayers that he stays healthy. He's just the cutest little bugger you'll ever meet.

Yeah, shipping is costly from Canada, didn't know that was where you were coming from.
I remember on one cruise we all brought postcards from our home states. It was great for the kids to show them off when they went back to school. Plus, very easy to pack, pencils, pens, landyards, small candy bars with personal wrapping, there is a Wal-Mart in Vero Beach.
VB is our home resort, I love it there, I want to retire there.

I've just booked on the Dream cruise for 2012 and am so excited!! This is our first cruise....any pointers on which excursions to stay away from? I know there's still lots of time....but there's sooo much to think about!

We have bee Nassau before but we just did our own thing. Walked into town, did the straw market. We probably won't even get off the ship this time.

My only concern is keeping the private information private. For example, I do not want to post that 5 year old Suzy will be in Cabin # 1100. I think we should come up with a way to keep this information off of the WWW.

Hi Amy,

I agree with your point. How about a website that has a password. We can post info. on that and pm. disers as they join the FE. That way it is private to just us. I am going to try to get a website up and running. I will send the link when I get it going.

Heres wishing me luck, not my area of expertise but does sound like fun!!! Give me a couple days to get it going.

I have the FE list going, so if you are joining, please send me your stateroom numbers via pm and I will add them to the site. I have set the website up so that it is by invitation only so others cannot see it. I will only be sending the website via a pm and it will not be advertised on the main Dis thread to protect all our little ones.

Great info. on the FE page. I have the website going (info on pg. 1), I will also get a spreadsheet attached to the website for the FE. I guess it makes sense for people to send me the FE info. so I can add it to the website, I guess you will keep generic info for the roll call? Make sense?

345 days, that seems like an eternity but I know time will fly by!!

Also, I moved the FE info to the first post and advised all joiners to contact you in the second post. I guess you and I will kind of share the duties of organizing our little group. I think that will be perfect!! I am enjoying getting to know you.

I will certainly need your help with the meet. It will be nice to put faces to names and allow the kids to see some friendly faces in the clubs.

I have already been brainstorming ideas for the FE!! I cannot wait!! It is so hard to sit on my hands until later this year.

Do you think the Dec 15 cut off was enough time? I chose that because it gave everyone a month or so to get organized. I know that there were late joiners on other FEs and it ticked some people off as they had special ordered items and therefore di dnot have enough for everyone. Do you think we should make it earlier? We could do 60 days. Since final payment is due at 75 days, 60 days would be fair enough... What are your thoughts?

Hey Amy,

I think sharing duties is perfect makes it easier on both of us. If we do 60 days then that gives any late comers enough time to make a second group, I think that makes sense. It may keep the numbers lower too which is a good thing as the ship is much bigger, more cabins = more time spent delivering and taking room up in suitcases.

Ginger, I understand about the FE's, it is alot of work and you do have a big group. Keep us posted about Adam

Hi everyone... happy to see this board already in full swing. We just switched our dummie bookings today to include this Dream cruise. It is the middle of our back to back to back, with a Magic Caribbean at the beginning and the 3 night Dream right after this one.

My parents just got back from cruising the Dream and had a blast. Looking forward to trying the Aquaduck.

Hello All!

We're very happy to be joining you on this cruise next year! We booked last week and are soooo looking forward to it!

This is the 3rd cruise for DH and I, but the first one with kids! Our kids will be 4 (DS) and 18 months (DD). We're also from Canada, eh? (Ontario as well) and are currently trying to decide if we'll fly out of Buffalo or drive down...we'll see what a price comparison shows closer to the date.

We'll likely spend a few days at WDW before the cruise - we've got APs that expire the day before the cruise, so we've gotta get our money's worth! LOL!

I think we're in for the Fish Extender - I'll have to read through the thread linked on the first couple posts. This isn't something we did on our other cruises, so it's new to us!

That is exciting that you are going with your kidlets, they will love it!! We always fly out of BUF, SWA seems to not have the deals they used to but it is always cheaper then YYZ (Toronto).

Gotta do WDW, I hear ya!!!

Let me know if you want to join the FE, it is always a fun thing especially for the kids, they love getting "mail".
