Jamie's Journal (comments welcome please!)

You have an awesome attitude and I'm proud of you for coming up with your own plan about how you are going to handle this. You should be proud of you too - and yes, we are here no matter what!!!!! Through thick to thin!!!!

You're doing great - and good luck on your pizza. I think you will find you will be full after two pieces. Maybe take some salad or something with you to work tomorrow so you have more than just pizza to eat. Or make a big salad and take some dressing to share.

Have a fun lunch.
Keep on

Just stopping by to see how you're doing!

I think you're doing a great job! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Hi Jamie!

Stopping by to WISH you a wonderful weekend!!! :flower: Hope everything is going well for you! :goodvibes

Hi Everyone....sorry i was not around yesterday! It was acrazy busy day here. It seemed that I was in meetings all day!!!! I was going to try and post last night, but my parents are in town and we stayed up later than normal chatting. Today is going to be another busy day as I am leaving at noon...YAY!!!

I just wanted to post.....I am sooo proud of myself. My parents are here from Nebraska and mama wanted to go to Village Inn for dinner. Well I always get a chicken sandwich with tons of mayo and french fries. I love to dip my french fries in the mayo....YUM!!!! Well I set a goal that I was not going to eat any mayo and no french fries and no bun!!! Guess what.....?????

I did it! I ordered my chicken sandwich, with fresh fruit instead of the fries. I ate the chicken with no bun and no mayo. I ate all the chicken and a little more than half the fruit. I stuck to the goal and it felt great!!!!!!!!

Also, I weighed myself yesterday and down another 2 pounds. Right on!!!!!

Well I better get going, I have to run checks and then I have a meeting at 8:30.

Hope everyone is having a great day. I will check in later before my DH starts class!!!!

Bye!

Great job!! I love fries as well - but I dip mine in mayo and ketchup!! What willpower to order fruit!!! Have a great weekend!

WAY TO GO Jamie!!!!!!!!! You did such a great job at the restaurant! I am so proud of you. You formulated a plan and you actually stuck with it. That is such a wonderful feeling, isn't it? You have definitely inspired me to stick to my plan for when we go out to eat tomorrow, thanks!

You lost another 2 lbs because of your hard work and dedication. Keep it up, it will be so much easier now that you KNOW you can do it! :goodvibes

Awesome job eating out w/your parents, Jamie! And all right! 2 more lbs gone!!! :cheer2:

Hi Jamie!!!
Congrats on those two pounds and even moreso on your great choices at the restaurant. What a great way to stick to your plan and have a nice night with your family. French fries are good but I bet that fruit tasted better because it had that magic sprinkle of success on it! :goodvibes

Have a great night!

HI everyone.....Whew what a couple of days. I have not had time to do anything on line!!!! Work is getting in the way. I took a half day today to get some errands done and I just know that I am going to regret it Monday. But I am not thinking of Monday right now!!!!

Thanks for encouragement. It means a great deal.

So Thursday was GREAT!!!!!!

B at 5:30 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S at 8:30 1 piece of toast with low fat peanut butter
L at 12:00 1 1/2 slices of cheese pizza. Didn't get to eat the second piece I was full!
S at 3:15 1/2 cup fresh strawberries with splenda
D chicken sandwich, no bun and fresh fruit!!! And it was fruit that I don't normally like, but for some reason this time is was really good!!!!

I got on the bowflex for 25 minutes. Took the dogs for a walk and did my normal walk to and from the parking garage to the office. I was fairly fast here!!!I got in 70oz of water.

Friday:
B at 5:30 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S at 8:45 1 piece of toast with lowfat peanut butter
L at 12:30 I met a really close friend for lunch, we had planned lunch weeks ago. We went for Mexican. YUM!I had 1/2 bean burrito and that was it. I could have normally eaten the whole thing plus chips, salsa and extra beans and rice, but I didn't today!
D at 8:30 2 slices of cheese pizza. Friday myDH loves to go out so I always plan for this!
I did the elliptical for 20 minutes today instead of my 30.I got up late, but I didn't want to not work out. So I cut it short by 10 min! I drank 100oz , maybe a tad more!

So tomorrow, Saturday, my DH and some of his friends are going to ride to Estes Park. So I know that we are going to eat out when we get there. I am planning on chicken with no bun and again fresh fruit rather than the fries...unless we go fast food. Then I am going to have to make different choices. But we will see.

Well I am going to bed. The furbabies have to see the doctor at 8:30 in the morning for their yearly exam so I have to get to bed.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend.

Stay healthy!

Jamie,

Thank you for your words of encouragement! Last night I was so tired of dealing with myself (LOL - I know! ;)) that I almost gave up. Key word is almost!

Best of luck to you! :)

Lisa

Sounds like you have had a couple of great days!! Go you Jamie!!!
What I like so much when I read your posts, especially when you talk food, is how you do well incorporating planning ahead for the situations you know you will encounter. That is great! I hope that the furbabies apt went well and that the ride to the Park was fun!

Have a great day!
Mike :maleficen

I'm going to have to try your idea of toast with PB in the morning. That is the worst time for me!! I eat breakfast at 8:00 and my 10:00, I'm starving!! I have the reduced fat PB, so I'm going to see if that helps! I have been trying to wait until my stomach growls to eat again. Maybe this will do the trick!! thanks!!!

HI! Hope everything went well at the vet with your furbabies!! That's great that you are already thinking ahead to you eating out food choices. I think it really helps! Hope you have a great time!

Good job on the food choices and what you have eaten the last couple of days. Glad the pizza didn't go over better than it did. I knew you'd be happy with just two pieces - I just felt like this was gonna be your time!!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Hi Jamie!

Congrats on losing 2 more pounds! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc You are doing such a great job!

Have a great Sunday! :sunny:

Hi All,

Well the furbabies had their appt and they lost weight too!!!! :maleficen :maleficen :maleficen :maleficen
The last time we were in, May 2005, Haley weighed in at 7.6 pounds and Baxter weighed in at 10 pounds. We were told that Haley needed to lose some weight so we put her on a diet and we started walking almost everynight. Well when one goes the other goes, so Baxter was getting his exercise in as well! Haley and Baxter both lost 1 pound. I was very proud! Now we just need to get Haley to lose .6 and she will be good!

So we ended up riding to Blackhawk rather than Estes Park. I think in total we rode almost 150 miles Saturday. It was a beautiful ride. I had a great time. We didn't stop in Blackhawk, just drove on through. Then we headed to Golden Gate Canyon. WOW!!! It was great!

Did do anything on Sunday.!!! My parents came back to Denver yesterday so we visited again with them. My parents live in Eagle NE. My oldest sisters' son had his first birthday this weekend and my parents came out to Denver on Thursday and then Friday they headed to Montrose, about an hour from Grand Junction, and they headed back to Denver on Sunday. They start their drive back to NE today! We had a good visit. My mom is really into family tree stuff, so her and I did that most of the time!

Saturday:

B at 6:30 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S at 8:30 string cheese
L at 1:30 grilled chicken sandwich, no bun and a few yucky fries. We ate while we were riding
D at 7:00 2 slices of cheese pizza

Sunday

B at 6:30 two waffles with 1/4 tbsp syrup
L at 12:00 2 BBQ turkey hotdogs
D at 6:00 Village Inn again! Mom loves that place. I had an open faced turkey sandwich. It was grilled turkey on 3 slices of bread, mashed potatoes and gravy. I asked for the mashed potatoes and all the gravy on the side. That way if I wanted it, I could dip it. I ate all the turkey, 2 small slices of bread, a less than half of the mashed potatoes! I felt that I did really good.
I didn't exercise today, but I got in 100 oz of water. It was warm here !yesterday!

So we have cookies here at work today. I keep thinking how I would love to have one. I can't. I don't want to start over on the cheat free!!!!! I am planning on a little cake this coming Friday. WE are celebrating our owners birthday and I didn't want to be rude. Unless of course the cake is chocolate, than I am not eating it. But I am planning it, so that is okay. I will just work a little extra harder this week.

I joined the 5 for August and the August challenge. I am not really sure how the challenge works, but I am sure that I will figure it out!

Well I am back to work I guess!!!

Have a great day everyone . Thanks for stopping by

Whooo hooo the fur babies are "losers"!!! :)

I joined those August challenges as well, and am not sure how they work either!! I'm sure we'll figure it out!!

Here's to a great month of losing!

Hi Jamie - You are doing awesome! I love how you can stick to your plan even while eating out. On the challenges - for the weight challenge, just post your weekly loss on the thread (in x/5 format). And for the exercise challenge, do the same thing. I usually update my signature every day and post my current totals once a week on the main thread. It is very motivating to see all the minutes you exercise! Congrats on joining them, you'll do great!

STAY AWAY FROM THE COOKIES!!!!!! Save your splurge for Friday!
