You're doing so great, Jamie! I joined the challenges too. There's nothing to them. The exercise one--you just report in every now and then and let them know how many min. you have done so far for the month. Same thing with the 5 in Aug. one. You just report any weight losses (or gains! :earseek: ) periodically. You'll do great!
 
Hey Jamie, that ride sounds awesome!! I too love just driving or riding through the mountains, good thing not stopping in Blackhawk, you'd just lose your money anyway.
Wow, i think the furbabies lost more weight than I did! Should be good for them.

Hard to believe, but I don't like chocolate anything. I mean I will eat a chocolate chip cookie if there aren't that many chococlates in it! But to sit down and eat a brownie, chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, no thanks! I'll pass!!!!

Yesterday, I so needed....okay I guess I didn't need it, but I wanted something sweet so bad. I bought DH some skittles the other night and I wanted them sooooo bad. Instead I decided to go work out! How fun was that???? I tell ya though, that made my sweet craving go away!!!!!! :maleficen :maleficen :maleficen
All in all yesterday was a pretty good day.

I didn't hear the alarm to get up until a little after 5 (it is set for 4.20) Opps. So I didn't work out. I was really mad. Even DH was a little shocked. But I told him and me that I was going to do it last night. So I could not back out of it. He would not have let me. He is starting to come around.....I think he knows that this is really working this time! So I worked out last night on the elliptical for about 35 mintues. It was hot, but I did it. I got in a ton of water. A little over 100 oz so that was good too!

I went to the grocery store and got a few things that I needed. I was suprised that I got everything that I wanted. Hardly nothing for DH. I got fruit, snacks, lunch items. It was great!

Yesterday

B at 5:45 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S at 9:00 1 slice of toast with peanut butter
L at 12:00 turkey and cheese sandwich
S skipped. I rode the bike to work and the weather turned bad so I headed home.
D at 6:00 1/2 breakfast burrito with 2 scrammbled eggs, 3 slices of bacon and low fat cheese. Was pretty good! I could only eat half though.

Well I have to get back to work. Pretty busy day here!!!!

It was a beautiful ride. I didn't think that it was going to be but it turned out great. We had a few rain drops, but nothing bad. That really cooled things off as it was pretty hot Saturday.

Haley thinks that I am trying to kill her!!!!! I am not kiddding. She just doesn't get it why I have cut her food down. THen she trys to eat out of Baxter's dish and gets told no. She looks so sad!!! I have to be strong...I want her healthy too!!! Before I would just give her more food. That had to stop and it did!

Honestly, I feel the same way sometimes! :teeth: It's hard changing old habits even when you know that it's GOOD FOR YOU!!
 
You are doing awesome!!!!! Staying away from the things at work and resisting those cravings - awesome!!!! BRAVO

My boss came back from Colorado last weekend after being there two weeks and said how hot it was out there too. But they had a good time - brought some taffy back and it's sitting in the lunchroom - I haven't touched it. And Salt Water Taffy is my favorite and it looks so good - so BRAVO to us both that we can resist the things sitting around us!!!

And glad to hear about your dh - I was hoping he'd be a bit more supportive for you. Keep up the good work!!!!

I am glad to hear your DH is being a little more supportive! And when those lbs keep melting off, he will realize how much healthier you are and I think he will finally get it. At least that's what we all hope for, right?

You are doing a great job - Skittles are hard to resist but you did it! Yippee!! :cheer2:

Yesterday was a pretty darn good day. I stayed away from the cookies, the skittles and the starburst! The cookies are here at work and the others are at the house for DH! I wanted to bust into the cookies, but I ate my granola bar instead. I didn't want to give up the cheat free!!!!

B at 5:30 1/3 cup cereal with 1/3 cup milk
S at 8:30 1 Nature Valley granola bar
L at 12:00 HC turkey and mashed potatoes....I was surprised, this was so good! I am going to have to get more! 1/2 cup strawberries with splenda
S at 3:00 1 Nature Valley granola bar
D at 6:00 2 BBQ turkey hot dogs. It has been a while. DH wanted to order Dominos - two for Tuesday, but I didn't.

I did weights for 25 minutes and drank tons of water. Little less than 100 oz. Our air conditioner stopped working and it was hot hot hot in the house. When I got home it was 87 inside!!!! I felt bad for the furbabies. Haley met me at the door and looked miserable!!!!! We got some windows open and the fans going and that cooled it off a bit!

Well I am cutting this short today, I must get back to work.

I noticed from your post on this page that you space your meals every three hours and that you eat very small meals. That is what I started doing in May with my WW plan...it really helped me lose pounds fast! Keep going strong! :flower:
 
I love, love, love the HC turkey and mashed potatoes!! I have also discovered the Nature Valley granola bars. I really like the peanut butter flavor.
 
Yay, you finally got some more of your beloved hot dogs! I was beginning to think you'd given them up! ;)

Keep it up, you're doing great! Good job resisting the goodies. I know that it is much easier to stay on track when you don't have that kind of stuff lurking in the background...
 
Hi, Jamie! I have really enjoyed catching up on your journal. Aren't those nature valley granola bars a great filler? I LOVE the chewy fruit & nut bar. It is a costly 3 weight watchers points, but literally fills me enough that it could be a meal substitute.

Keep up the great work with your exercise and being so diligent about not cheating. I am sooooo glad you have that challenge as an incentive (or should I say "disincentive"?)

Hi all!!!

It seems that I spend soo much time reading and posting in other journals, that by the time I get to mine, I don't have any time!!!!

Yes we did get the a/c fixed. My DH thought that it was the compressor that went out, but when they came and checked it out, there was something else wrong. I guess it was the guts of the machine. I am not 100% sure. At least it only cost $100.00. I was really expecting more!

So yesterday was a good day. We were suppose to go out with the inlaws today for dinner, but we changed it to yesterday! We went to Village Inn....again! I don't know what it is with mothers and Village Inn. I told them to pick something else, we didn't have to go to Village Inn for their anniversary. But that is where they wanted to go! I did pretty good.

I got up and exercised 30 minutes on the elliptical. I kicked it up a notch. To level 4 with the ramp at an incline of 12. Felt good!

Yesterday

B at 5:30 2 waffles with no butter and 1/4 tbps of syrup
S at 8:30 I made a strawberry/blueberry smoothie! YUM I had 8 oz
L at 12:00 1 can of HC chicken and rice with of those jell-o no calories, no sugar cup.
S at 3:00 8 oz of smoothie
D at Villiage Inn again. I did the open faced turkey sandwich, I ate all the meat, left 1 piece of bread half the potatoes. I think I have found a new fav!

I was so bummed, I was going to get up this morning and do weights, but some dip stick called the house at 2:30am. They wanted to know if I knew how to get in touch with one of my sisters. I have two sisters, one lives in Montrose, and the other....who knows. The dip that called was a friend of my sister, the one we don't know where she is. Without going into too much, there is a ton! my sister has 7 kids, the family used to live in CA and they lose their house. My BIL (idiot that he is) got in trouble wiuth the CA law and they are now out of the US. It is truly a long story. One day I''ll tell ya'll. So anyways, this friend tells me that there was a rumor going around that the friend had died and she wanted to tell my sister that she was still alive! Did you get all that!!!!! I just can't believe that she had the nerve to call my house at 2:30 in the morning. My DH was soooo mad. So after getting up at 2:30 I was unable to go back to sleep until a little after 3. I had to get up at 4:20 to work out and it didn't happen. I was too tired! I will do it tonight though!

Well anyways, I better get back to work.
