Sounds like you've been doing great despite your busy schedule!!!! Great job on the exercise, healthy eating AND water drinking!!! Wow! I still struggle with the water. If you don't get a chance to post again before you leave, I just wanted to wish you a GREAT trip!!! :goodvibes

Great job getting back on track, especially with how busy you have been.

Have an absolutely wonderful time at WDW. Enjoy and Relax. I am sure you will do fine with your healthy living too. You will do tons of walking, and with the heat, you will drink lots and lots of water. You always seem to make such good food choices too. Treat yourself to a daily splurge of some sort.
 

Hello....long time no post! I had every intention of posting before I left, but there just was not enough time in the day....but we left and are back....too bad! Thanks again to everyone for stopping by...it is great to come back and see the great words of encouragement.

Well we left for WDW and before we knew it, it was over. I was suffering from PMS, pre magical syndrome, before we left and I am now suffering from PMS, post magaical syndrome, again!!! I do have the WDW blues. Although I was glad to get home, I also didn't want to leave. Those two weeks went by way too fast. I remember the first few days telling my DH that we had plenty of time..we had two weeks. Well that ended fast!!! I am planning on doing a trip report this year. Once I get it done, I will post the link for anyone who is interested.

I did okay with eating....but I am not going to dwell on it. I was on vacation and we walked a ton! I have to say that Beachs N Cream is evil though! We went there for lunch one day and it was so good. We were on the dining plan so we had dessert and it was soooo good. DH and I split the Brownie all a mode! It was a brownie with chocolate syrup and then tons of vanilla ice cream, whip cream and a cherry on top. Topped off with chocolate syrup and two oreo cookies. Now remember that I don't like ice cream, but oh my, this thing was heaven! It was soooo big and so good. DH split it and still could not eat it all! Other than that we didn't really go over board. We skipped the appetizers on almost all meals and I didn't have soda at meals either. I stuck to lemonade. It was pretty good!

I caught a cold while on vacation.....we left on 08/27 and I started to feel a little icky on 09/05 and then it just got worse. By the time we were ready to come by I didn't feel all that great. But I was not going to let that stop me. No way! I made my way through it!!! I am still feeling a little icky, but I can tell that I am getting over it!

Things at work have finally started to calm down.....with the exception of today. Of course the first day at work is always the hardest....I had a lot of clean up to do. I am hoping that I can get back on track with journaling....it really helps. I should now that vacation is over and work is slowed down. I will have more time at lunch and then again at home.

Monday (today)

B @ 5:30 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 9:00 Quaker breakfast cookie
L @ 12:00 peanut butter and jelly sandwich with 1/2 serving of goldfish
S @ 3:00 1 string cheese
D @ 6:30 1 corn dog
Water was not very good. I managed to get in 64 oz....could have been better, but that is okay! Tomorrow is a new day! I exercised for 40 minutes today as well!

Thanks again for stopping by. I will be here more often now! I am going to try and get caught up on journals....I may not be able to do it!!! I may just start with the weekend!

Welcome Home Jamie! I was glad to see you again. We were at CSR and then the DCL while you were at WDW. Don't suppose you happened to be at Blizzard Beach on the 31st did you? That was the only park we did, it would have been funny if you'd been there too! Don't worry about what you ate on vacation, thats what vacations are for. You can always get on right back on track, but having fun on vacation isn't something you can always do so its good to take advantage when you can. Isn't it amazing how quickly time at WDW, even two weeks worth goes? Glad things are calming down at work and again Welcome Home!

P.S. What is with this fallish weather? Kind of nice but also unusual.

I am glad that you had a wonderful time at WDW and that work is starting to calm down too. :woohoo: WTG getting right back into exercising :woohoo: Your post vacation food looks good too, except for that pesky missing food group - remember the vegetable :rotfl2: :teeth: . I am teasing you, of course. Really glad you are back. :banana:
 
Welcome back!!!!! Aren't the Post-Disney blues the worse??? I'll be right there with you in a few weeks. :sad2: Please do post a link to your trip report. I'd love to read about some of your highlights!

Definitely don't worry about the food on vacation. You never get the opportunity to eat like that when you're home, so live it up! I've heard many people say that once they get back into regular eating patterns post-trip, any weight gained falls right off. I'm holding onto that hope!! ;)

You did great by getting right back into a healthy routine. Fortunately vacation weight doesn't stick around too long!

Welcome Back Jamie! :cool1: I'm glad to hear you had a great time in WDW! :goodvibes I totally can sympathize with the PMS syndrome you mentioned! :grouphug: I think writing a trip report helped me to get over the Disney blues after my trip. Of course, starting to plan another vacation and then getting a job where I plan Disney vacations helped too. :rotfl:

I hope that you are feeling better soon. Someone in our family usually gets sick after WDW. :( Please be sure and take good care of you! :grouphug:

Hello again....

I am still trying to get caught up on journals, but the good news is that work is finally caught up!!! That is great news. Now I can really start journalling again!! I will too.

Thanks to everyone for stopping by again! I appreciate it. I have not started my trip report, but I will start it soon. We have been pretty busy since we got back, not only with work but the furbabies won't leave us alone!!! I think they think we are leaving again and they don't want to go through that again. Usually they don't have to worry, we usually only leave once a year!

Eating this week has been pretty good. I thought that it would be hard, but it's been pretty good! The only thing that I have been craving is french fries. I have no idea why, but man I just want french fries! So I may have to give in to that and get some.....I won't eat all of them, but just a few. Who knows!

Anna, you are too funny....I am trying so hard to like veggies, but it is just so hard! I can't stand them! While we were in WDW we ate at 50's PTC and I got a meal that had corn.....I didn't want to eat the corn, I used to love corn, don't really care for it anymore, but I also didn't want to sing I'm a little tea pot, so I ate the corn and man it was hard! I am trying though.

Amy, we didn't do the water parks while we were at WDW. We thought about it but I am not really a water person. But we did take the bus over there on our way to Animal Kingdom!!! We did all the parks except the water ones. We have never done the water parks, I think one day we will though.....

Well I am going to go for tonight, I will try and logon tomorrow...if not have a wonderful weekend!!!

GREAT job getting on track with your food after vacation! That's one of the worst things for me!!! I hope to follow your lead in a few weeks! I hear you on the veggies thing! But then........aren't french fries technically veggies? :lmao: Do post us a link to your trip report when you write it. Can't wait to hear more about your trip! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Glad you hear you are all caught up at work. That must feel good. Great job getting back on track with your food too. My DH is also not a veggie person. He assures my that french fries are in fact a veggie - they come from the ground. :rotfl2:
 
That's great that things are caught up with work. And yes, get yourself a SMALL order of french fries and get it out of your system! It'll drive ya nuts if you don't. :teeth:
 
Good Tuesday Morning,

Well this weekend was pretty good. I did splurge and have some birthday cake as it was my birthday Sunday. DMIL brought over a cake so we had a small piece. I don't really know what to do with the rest of it....I know that we won't eat all of it, so I was thinking of bringing the rest of it to work. I know that someone will eat it here. We will see though.

We are going out to lunch tomorrow here at work for my birthday...I had to chose a place. Man that was hard since I am so picky. But we are going to Maggianos so I should be able to behave myself. I usually always get the same thing, chicken!!!! So we will see. Then we are going out to lunch on Thursday because some one is quitting. I don't think that I will be eating Thursday though, we are going to a buffet type place and I don't really like buffets. So I will probably just bring my lunch and eat here either before or after. We will see though.

Yesterday was an okay day....I could have done better, I just wanted to eat and not stop! I did get a small order of french fries and had a few. They were soooo yummy!!! I did't finish all of them, but I was able to have a few and that took care of my craving for them. So that was good!

Monday:
B @ 5:15 1/2 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk
S @ 8:30 1 Quaker breakfast cookie
L @ 12:00 small order of fries and a HC meal....it was chicken and pasta and was not very good. Don't think I will be buying that one again.

D @ 6:30 6 chicken nuggets - not McDonalds. I bought some when I was at the grocery store. Nothing else sounded good.
Water was no good. I only had about 60oz....I really need to work on that. I am going to make sure that I get all my water in today.
Exercise was 20 minutes walking and 20 minutes on the elliptical. I could not get out of bed yesterday morning. But at least I got 20 minutes in.

Well I am off to other journals....I am still trying to play catch up.
