James and Jeffrey PJ - 05/10/11 - SBP/Attic/UK DP/Wedding Day 2 Arrival

I just found your planning journal also and I love everything. I really love all of your do it yourself projects even if they don't always come out exactly right you keep a positive attitude and just try again!!!

I am partial to using the Vinylmation as a gust book also because we had one too. We couldn't find white when we looked so we ended up with a hot pink one and I just love it even though at first I was unsure. Just so you know, all of our guests loved it so much.

Good luck with the rest of your plans and I can't wait to read more. :wizard:

Thank you for reading. I just love your Mickey vinylmation. It is so cute and his little Mickey birthmark is so cute. I just might have to steal that from you. :goodvibes

It finally happend. I had my first wedding nightmare. I had a nightmare that it was our wedding day and there were no guests because I forgot to get my invitaions done. As we were standing there Jeff was looking at me and asking where the officiant was. I of course never sent the deposit to her and we had no officiant. The wedding was a hot mess in my dream. Lets just say I got the check in the mail today for our officiant and contacted Shelley about the invitations. I do not want my dream to come true.

Thank you! I love his little birth mark too, lol. I even turn him around sometimes just so that is showing.

So funny about your nightmare. I had a few of those myself. I had a really memorable one about my dress, I showed up to the wedding and had a horrible dress that my mom picked out, I was wearing 80's Reebok high-top sneakers and had on a black wig like Frankensteins bride :scared1:, lol. Did I mention that at this point I had not bought my wedding gown yet? I went out immediately to look for one, lol.

:scared1: That is a scary dream!

BTW, how have the responses been to your STD's?

Dam....putting a wedding together is stressful. I had no clue. I am glad that I am doing it at Disney and have Diane to plan it or there would be no ceremony happening anytime soon.

Crissy the response is about what I expected although we did get one surprise response from my Uncle who plans on going. The more the merrier I say.

Hi Groom Mickey, Just wanted to let you know I have been quietly following along for some time and love your PJ. No journal as I am MOB and just love soaking up all the info on here, esp from Joanne and Deb, then sharing it with my daughter who is getting married on 5/4/11. I have already had at least 5 nightmares like the one you had and I'm not even the bride. :lmao: Also came so close to buying a white Vinylmation this week but chickened out, its such a great idea.:thumbsup2

That's a scary one! I should be getting those now too, considering I've only sent out half the invites and the other half are still waiting for me to print them! Instead, I don't think I dream at all; I'm just totally wiped out at the end of the day.

Wow, that's really great that you have one surprise person already. :goodvibes I'm hoping you'll get a few more surprise responses of 'Yes!'. Heck - who wants to miss out on a Disney wedding. :)

Hey there, just found your planning journal this evening and have read the whole thing tonight (no wonder my work isn't done! shhhh, don't tell!)

I am loving your plans so far, but I'm especially loving your commentary. You have a great sense of humor which I have a feeling must serve you well with all those kids! I hope Jeff is ok with his family not participating-that stinks but it sounds like your family will more than make up for his. Hopefully the two of you will have an amazing and special day, no matter who is there (and how many wedding groupies!!)

I love the navy and pink color scheme and can't wait to see how your welcome bags turn out.

Thank you for sharing the details with us; can't wait to read more!
Brooke

Thank you for reading, I think it awesome that anyone is even interested. It has been fun and stressful planning a wedding and glad I can share. I would actually have to do something with the wedding to share. It is just a day to day struggle to survive with five kids and amazing I have even done as much as I have. Keep following along. Hopefully we will get some more wedding stuff done.

earlier this week I was so ready to miss out on a Disney wedding. Things are getting back on track and we are pushing through. I will be so glad though when we can finally just enjoy the day and eat CAKE!

Still working on the invites but no more dreams. You are so much further ahead of me though. At least you will get more guest than I will. I still do not have the invites finalized and it is not looking like they are going to get done anytime soon and we are less than 60 days away from the wedding. The good news is that we put the wedding into the middle of our family vacation so I do have people there already LOL.

Thanks so much for following along. Let me tell you it was my sister who introduced me to the DIS boards and has come up with a ton of ideas. Your daughter is very lucky to have the support. I know I would not have gotten as much done as I have without my sisters support and cracking of the whip. She needs to get back on it though because I have so slacked off. Enjoy and wishing your daughter and you a wonderful day next May:goodvibes

I am jumping in very late, but I would like to say congratulations! I just sat here and read your entire PJ. You are quite the funny guy! :rotfl2: I look forward to reading more!!!

Sooooooo I am reading your message and wondering to myself "what do they mean jumping in late" until I looked at my ticker and it is telling me that I have a month and a few weeks OMG:scared1: I should be almost done with the planning yet we still have so much to do. :scared1: Thanks for following along.

I have a little over 7 months until my wedding, and it feels like the day will never come. However, when I get as close to the big day as you, I bet it will feel like the time flew by! Remember to enjoy the process!!! :goodvibes

I just wanted to add, thank you for being an awesome example of family-hood and I look forward to reading about your upcoming nuptials.

OH MY GOODNESS! It's a small world. I've been reading through PJs to see what people are planning for their dessert parties and I ran across yours. I just read the entire thread. We're having a dessert party on 5-10-11 at UK Pubside for my son's college graduation celebration. He and 4 of his friends will have graduated the weekend before from East Carolina University, home of the Pirates. So, we're having a weeklong celebration of being a pirate.

Which UK location are you having? We'll be neighbors!

Oh where did the time ago. Just under a year ago I was sitting on my front step, watching the kids play, and setting the dates with Pam. Now we are almost upon our big day. It goes by so quick. For the most part it has been fun. There are times when it has been stressful but I just remember what I read inMartha Stewart . Our guests won't know if we were supposed to have more flowers, the chairs were supposed to have different color table cloths or if we were supposed to have three tiers on the cake. Our guests are there to celebrate are union and that is why they are there. Just thinking about this has helped make the process very enjoyable.

I'm just joining in here. I love your story. :goodvibes
Congratulations! I can't wait to read more!

Thank you so much. I can't wait to get more so you can read more :goodvibes Soon though.
