Gotta love the Great Minnesota Get Together! My fiance and I are going to try to squeeze it in. I LOVE the State Fair!! Taffy....Minnea-kabobs...flavored cotton candy...roasted corn on the cob...all the milk you can drink for 25 cents, pickles on a stick!! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

And all the booths and sites are pretty cool too... lol

Hey Brooke I didn't know you were from MN (Or could be western WI too I suppose). I'm heading to the fair Saturday night and I can hardly wait to eat some Tom Thumb mini doughnuts!!!

All the menus at the pool bars are redone...they all have the same drinks listed, no matter which resort you are staying. The specialty drinks can still be made, but you must specifically request them by name...I happen to love the Victoria Falls Mist, which contains banana liquer and Midori, so I asked for THAT one. You can't imagine how disappointed I was when I arrived at the pool bar and didn't see the Natazu and my fave listed anywhere......

hmm...is there any where you guys know of that has the specialty drinks listed??

Mount Kilimarita
Tequila, van der hum tangerine liqueur, citrus, splash of cranberry juice

Nyami Nyami
Amarula, creme de banana, vanilla ice cream, blended

Swahili Colada
Rum, coconut, and pineapple juice, blended

Safari Daiquiri
Rum, strawberries, blended

Nahtazu

Paw Paw Paradise Smoothie
Coconut, pineapple, strawberry blended together, frozen

Ethiopian Punch
Orange and pineapple juices, sprite


They also had a nice selection of African Import beers and some African wines....are those gone, as well?

Nahtazu Recipe from the Uzima Springs Pool Bar:

3/4 oz. Malibu Rum
3/4 oz. Melon Liquor
2 oz. Sour or Daiquiri Mix
4 oz. Pineapple Juice

Shake together over ice. Splash with l/4 oz. Chambord. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.

I bought all the ingredients, but have not made it yet. Cheers!

...sounds almost like the "Coqui's" we had at the Condado Plaza Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico a few years ago....no daiquiri or Chambord, tho'....they were MUY DELICIOSO!
