...sounds almost like the "Coqui's" we had at the Condado Plaza Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico a few years ago....no daiquiri or Chambord, tho'....they were MUY DELICIOSO!

For all of you headed to AKL soon, be sure to post some pictures! I can hardly wait to return to AKL in May! Too bad it's only a short 4 day trip. We should have went for a 3 day DCL cruise and a longer AKL stay.

Hey Brooke I didn't know you were from MN (Or could be western WI too I suppose). I'm heading to the fair Saturday night and I can hardly wait to eat some Tom Thumb mini doughnuts!!!

Yup! I just moved back to Minnesota (living in Hutchinson) in late July. My fiance is here, so he drew me away from New York City, back to small town life. We are trying to fit in a trip to the State Fair as well-looks like next weekend might be our only day...I hope it fits....

Kimmar, I can't wait to read your trip report! I'm SO STINKIN' excited about staying at the AKL and going to WDW I can't even explain it. It's been my wish since I was SIX years old! Finally, 21 years later....!

I'm so excited!!! After nearly a month of calling EVERY SINGLE DAY to try and get ADR's at Boma the night we arrive, it finally happened today!! Thank you pixie dust!!

I know, I should have made the ressie ages ago, but I never thought my DD8 (picky eater) would want to eat there, and we had already decided on Sci-Fi, CRT and Coral Reef (all places she wanted to try). And we're only there 3 nights, with MNSSHP too! But when I told her we are staying at AKL she almost immediately said "I want to try some African food" which nearly made me fall out of my chair! And I've been trying ever since to get in there with no luck until today.

They must've extended Boma's hours for that week (as the CM's have been telling me they would do) because the "latest" time available was 4:50pm. Not a problem for us since we plan to spend a couple hours at MGM when we arrive around noon and then wanted to spend the evening enjoying the resort. This is perfect...early good dinner and still have time for the storytelling and night vision viewing of the animals. WOO HOO!!!!!!

YAY!!! Your persistance paid off! We finally tried Boma last December and my DD12 (oops - she just turned 13!) LOVED it!!! (DH & I loved it too!!)
