Wanted to say bye to the JAMBO crew and wish everyone a good week! Hopefully, someone can give me lesons on how to post pics when I get back. We leave at 5:30am for the airport and I haven't started packing yet, (not that I sleep the night before WDW anyway, just like the commercial ) so no more DISboards for me tonight!

I have not done the balcony dinner, but I have read good things from posters who have enjoyed. Guess you have to be our official JAMBO tester.

Tiggrbaby, Don't you love those AP discounts. HAve you ever gone on the Sunset Safari? It will spoil you, you will want to go again. I am getting so excited about our trip and we have over 3 month to go.

Disney8704, I have never stayed in a pool view room so I can not help you with your decision. But I wanted to tell you I am sending you some special for a free upgrade. And yes, you can dream, after all this is Disney your going to.

Have you been on the safari? My sister and I are splurging for this trip. We have been planning it for three years! I was so thrilled that we were able to get both safaris and a Segway tour. We are also scheduling an afternoon tea. We are doing all the things that we couldn't do with my boys in tow. When are you going? We will be there from 11/9 to 11/13. We are planning on a resort day the day of the sunset safari and the last day. We've only been there to eat at Boma, so we are very excited to spend time there now.

Scoutsmom, I always enjoy your posts and love the pictures of your new addition. I can tell how excited you all are getting. Where did you find those purses in bulk? I have looked on E-bay, but I haven't found anything like that. Really love what you are doing.

Hey Angel I hope everything is going well for you. Way to go on getting the AP discount at AKL. I wish I was staying there for my 2nd trip, but I'm hoping for Jan/Feb stay if they release AP rates.

I agree with the advice that Wendypooh gave, but I'm going to add that the Uzima trail in that area is great as well. I would just go and request Zebrat trail becuase I think either savannah is great.

Just wanted to Update everyone on changes to the Adventure Camp.
I got an email from Dis'r - "FinallyBoughtDVC", who informed me that the DAY of the Camp has been changed from Wed. to SATURDAY's ONLY!!!!

I just got off the phone with Kimberly, the Camp Co-ordinator. She said that YES, the Camp's day was moved to SATURDAYS. It is a 4 hour Camp, for children ages 6-14. Everything is the same, Ostrich egg painting, private animal viewing and lodge tour, dining on the balcony, an "archealogical" exploration, study bones & fossils, Games in the Sunset Lounge, Learn about the Guides home in Africa. The kids meet the Guide at 10AM at Simba's to begin the Camp. She said booking "early" or before arrival is not necessary at this point, as they are rarely booked full.

She also verified that the Cost IS $70.00 which includes the ostrich egg and lunch.

HERE is Info on the Camp ~~ NOTE NOTE NOTE the DAY has been changed from Wed. to SATURDAYS ONLY!!!!

*** The Adventure Camp is an Interactive adventure for children ages 6-14. Camp includes real ostrich egg painting, private lodge tour with animal viewing and lunch overlooking the Savannah. Space is limited to 10 children. The camp cost $70.00 and is from 10-2 on Wed. ONLY. You may sign up for this once you are at the resort, you do not need to book it early.

( I'm guessing this is not a widely known activity so getting in is not a problem.)

The children meet up with the savannah guide outside of Simba's cubhouse at 10 am. Lunch is served on the second floor balcony overlooking Arusha Rock. The ostrich egg is $30.00 which IS included in the price.

Thanks - he's had a great week so far!!! I can hardly believe we leave here in 15 days!!!! We are spending 2 nights in Daytona before we check in!!!!

We booked standard, but if we aren't comp. upgraded, then we'll pay to move to Savannah view!! We had such good luck in Feb. being comp. upgraded to Deluxe Savannah!! It was really nice and DS LOVED the bunkbeds!! ~~ keeping everything crossed we'll be that lucky again!


I"m sure she's having a great time.......... just hope she's saving some domes for us!!!

Great price for a ticket by the way!!! I couldn't imagine planning another trip right now!!! I'm going crazy trying to keep up with this one!!!!

We are pretty much set I think.......... I hope!!! I've got all our ADR's done, Got our Kingdom tour booked, DS is doing the Adventure camp and we are doing the Culinary tour while DH plays the Magnolia course. DS is all set for the Neverland Club, while we have some "alone" time!!! I was so hoping to get an arrival basket from Peggy........ I am making DS one, but it's so nice having one waiting for you when you get there!!! Oh, I've got some "goodies" ordered for our room!!!!!! Ordered DH's b-day cake, hummmmmmm what else??? I'm just ready to go!!!! LOL

As for the wedding plans............. well, things are going along very well!!! I'll keep everyone posted!!

Wendy- Glad to hear that everything is going well. I can't believe we are almost there! Did you order your DH's cake from the lodge or somewhere else? I'm going to order a cake next week to have at GF during our afternoon tea, but I can't decide what the heck I want to get.

LOL ~~ I'm going crazy now.......... I was able to add the night onto our package........ whew!!! Now, I'm trying to figure out what ADR I want........ with just about 2 weeks and EVERYONE seemingly on the dining plan........ it's imparative I make an ADR asap!!! My DH has no idea I added another night!!! I am so excited about my sales the past 2 weeks........ it's insane!!! I've got enough now JUST FROM EBAY to pay off my DS's "disneymoon" without having to take any out of our bank acct!!!! NOW that is what Ebay is ALL about!!!! (We are giving our DS a "disneymoon", he just recently got engaged).

SOOOOO, how are your plans coming along??? Did you decide on the carriage ride or the romance dinner??? We had thought about the dinner, but we decided we'd try to do in Feb. for my b-day trip, ~ if we stay at the lodge. I have the Poly booked, but DH just loves the lodge, so I should try to accomodate him, I mean he is taking me back to WDW again, I might as well let him pick where we'll stay!!!! Maybe!!!

we cant really afford a savannah room..but with our AP discount we just booked a pool view room.....anyone have experience with this type of room
or with the pool view.....?any suggestions...ideas...input

I can't believe we are almost 2 weeks out!! I just can't stand it anymore. I just called and ordered my DDE. They are going to have a temp card for me at Epcot so I hope that my card arrives before we get there because I don't want to have to run to Epcot to pick it up the first day we arrive.
